In Different Galaxies They Would Be Happy

In another galaxy the moon would have jumped
at the chance of running away with the sun
at the risk of the human race dying out.

In a different galaxy Pluto would have inched closer
to the moon trying to avoid the scorching sun's gaze.

In another galaxy the stars would've kissed the moon's
tears away when the sun finally burned her.

In a different galaxy the sun would hate themselves
because every time they touch another being they burn.

But they are not in a different galaxy and stay where
they are trapped to an axis spinning until the end of time.
