You told me that you have liked girls before
and that comment punched me in the gut
twisting itself in my rib cage.

I have noticed that whenever you talk about
the girls you like none of them look like me
and honestly this hurts a lot more than I expected.

They're kind, funny and clever though
and somehow that makes it worse
because I like them too. A lot.

They seemed to have captured
your heart in a way that I have
never been able to achieve.

I don't blame you though.
