Poisonous

Sometimes it is better to let go of I your friends
before their thorns end up digging into your side.

(ignore them, but not before giving
them a piece of your mind first)

Sometimes to rid yourself of poisonous
people before their venom ends up killing
You is the most difficult thing to do.

(But it's worth it)

Sometimes their words can taste like acid
and you have no choice but to swallow them.

(But you spit them out again saying
something much worse in return.)
