Tord's POV.

*on earth*

When we got there I noticed the gem starting to wake, "ѱɂ-ѱɂп? ѱɂμԓμ пɪ ɸ?!" (wh-wha? where am I?!) oh... right, I forgot about that. Thankfully edd wasn't there, now I know you must be thinking 'what? Tord why would that be a good thing!? You literally mentioned Edd knowing gemlish in the prologue, the only other time they've spoken!!' and to that I say HA, edd would only freak them out more, it'd be better to calm them down first.

I then realized they were hyperventilating! "Shoot!" After many, MANY attempts at calming them, they settled. "ѱɂƨ пԓμ oƨѻ? ѱɂμԓμ пԓμ ѱμ?" (who are you? where are we?) I gave them a 'wait one moment' and completely unexpectedly they did.

I came back with Edd and Matt to find the gem hadn't even moved a mussel! I had already told them about the gemlish so they wouldn't scare it. "Ɂμииƨ!" (Hello!) edd... I assume greeted I'll just let him continue, "ɸ'ɪ μmm, ͼɂɸѳ ɸѳ ͼƨԓm, ͼɂɸѳ ɸѳ ͼƨԓm, пםm ͼɂпͼ'ѳ ɪпͼͼ." (I'm Edd, this is Tord, and that's Matt.) he pointed towards me then matt, "Ѱɂпͼ'ѳ oƨѻԓ םпɪμ?" (What's your name?)... a pause, "Ѳƿɸםμи." (Spinel.) the gem... replied? "?" edd made the noise of confusion. "ɸѳ ͼɂμԓμ пםƨͼɂμԓ םпɪμ oƨѻ иɸчμ?" asked edd, a long silence followed, "Ͼƨɪ..." (Tom...) the gem said. "Tom..." Edd had said out loud, "huh?" Matt and I sounded in surprise. "They like the name Tom" he answered.
