"Tim!" The dragon called over the forest as he flew. Being too dense for him to get a clear view of the ground, Jake landed at a nearby clearing to continue on foot. He gazed at the beautiful landscape around him. Filled with flowers all the way to the edge where the meadow meets the forest. The flowers set a calming aura which lifted his spirit. Sadly he had to leave this wonderful feeling. He draws near the edge to continue his search.

Breaking twigs and crunching leaves as he jogs through. Every so often, he'll stop and yell out. Only to continue deeper into the forest. There were no sounds aside the natural song of nature. Birds flying by singing a lovely tune, rabbits digging borrows to raise their young, nearby wolves feasting on a small carcass. He stops in his tracks, staring at the gruesome scene. He watch them tear into the small animal with merciless force. Ripping the meat off the bone or completely snapping it altogether. He could hear the gushing of blood and muscle snapping. He notices the faint smell of his small navy companion in the area. He followed the scent, leading to the pack wolves.

"Did you hear what happened the other day?" One of the wolves spoke up. "The alpha let a hybrid get away!" The small group started to chat among themselves on the subject. "I heard he wanted to use the hybrid for breeding purposes." "Really? That would never work!" "How so? If regular dogs and wolves can breed then I doubt this would be different." "It's impossible because the hybrid wasn't an animal to begin with." They all went silent to ponder the thought. While they pondered, they failed to noticed a shadow looming over them.

Jake glared at the wolves, ready to tear them apart. The wolves lowered their bodies to show submission. "Good. Now tell me where a certain blue wolf is." The wolves nod. Leading him to their pack, they told him about what happened with Tim. Jake swore under his breath hoping Tim is safe.

Once they reached the resr of the pack, the alpha stepped forward to confront Jake. "Who are you and why do you have my packmates?" He tries to use his alpha stance to frighten the bulky dragon, but it fails. "I'm here to get my friend back. Do you know where the cliff he fell off is?" The alpha snarls, baring fangs. "Like I would tell you!" The alpha leaps toward Jake aiming for the throat. He bites down on the dragons neck just for his fangs to shatter. "Dragon scales are as strong as steel. Well in the crucial parts anyway." The alpha yips in pain and flees. One wolf that stood over at the side agreed to show Jake the cliff.

"We chased him off the cliff. We're not sure if he survived, but if he did, he'll be at the bottom." The wolf explains. Jake peers over the edge. Getting a better look at the depth. He gets ready to take when the wolf suddenly yells for him to stop. "Stop! Take me with you!" "Why?" Jake asked. The wolf gives an apologetic look. "I can sniff him out. It's the least I can do for what we tried to do." Jake sighs and picks the wolf up. "Okay, just because I can find him quicker." The wolf's tail wags with glee. Jake takes flight and dives down the cliff to search for Tim.
