I managed to find my way back to the stream that I followed earlier. The stream itself was comforting. There seems to be rocks nearby that glowed, making just enough light able to see the water.

Growing thirsty, I plunged my paws into the stream to scoop some water. The water was freezing cold, to the point that I lost feeling in my paws. I jerk away from the stream as quickly as I can to avoid freezing. I shiver as I try to warm my now numbed paws.

Wrapping my tail around them was the only thing I could do. The extra fur should be enough to prevent anything serious but I wasn't too sure. "Where is Alexa and Jake when you need them..."

~meanwhile at camp~

"Anything Jake?" The small puffy eyed fox wimpered to her dragon companion. The two have been looking for their wolf friend for days. Jake, the overly concerned dragon, only dropped his head not wanting to reply. "Jake...please.." Alexa plead. "I couldn't find anything. It's like he dissappered." He told her. The two sat in silence, wondering what happened to their friend.

Jake stood and spread his wings. "I am going to look again." With that, he took off. Leaving the small fox girl to deal with the pain of never seeing her best friend again.

~Cave~

"I'm hungry..." My stomach growled with pain. There wasn't much around that would be remotely safe to eat. I saw wild mushrooms growing near the stream. They were big with a very interesting color. They had the foul smell of rot and oozed some kind of liquid. I decided not to eat it.

It's getting too cold here. My fur is starting to lose its warmth the longer I stay. My best bet is to keep going till I find a way out. I grab one of the glowing rocks and make my way through the corridors.

Hey, I've decided to make these chapters a little shorter then the first five. Which were really long. I plan to take this slower then I expected to try and be more detailed? Not sure if its working so feedback would be helpful.

Anyway, new chapters every Saturday.
