HYUN
"taehyung... he said i was the only happy thing in his life."

"i tried to keep him alive. in just a short amount of time, he already meant so much to me. i'm still here, but it feels so suffocating when i breathe— actually, it feels like i'm not breathing at all. the moment he was gone, it felt like he stole the air from my lungs. but i'm okay, as long as i still breathe, i'm still here— and taehyung would want that, he would want me to stay here."

"if you're still breathing then you must be one of the lucky ones."

[ !!! ]

"hyun, live your life properly, yeah?" he smiles, a smile dripping with bitterness.

"i'm sorry i couldn't be there till the end, but you've been the most joyful thing that has happened to me and i'm utterly so thankful for your appearance in my life."

"t-tae," hyun whispers out, barely audible to the other.

"it's— it's okay, i'll be right here," he gestures to his heart, "in your heart."

"but you w-won't— you won't be here for me," she cries. "you won't be by my side."

"i'm sorry," he apologizes, "i can't stay here, i... i don't want to stay."

"take care, hyun." he leans back, letting the wind take him, and he falls.

but she grabs on his hand tightly before he can completely descend. she feels the pain striking in her arm, how her arm feels like it's going to break off any second from the amount of pain bolting through her. it hurts so god damn much because that single hold is the only thing that stops him from falling. but she doesn't want to let go, she won't let go, she'll never let go.

"don't you fucking dare, kim taehyung," she chokes out in sobs. she's crying hysterically, tears running uncontrollably down her face.

she wants to scream for help, she wants to do it so desperately but she can't. there's no one walking around in the midst of the dead starless night. there's no cars rushing, no sound of car tires rustling on the road, not a single person walking down the pavement, nothing.

"i love you, taehyung. don't leave, i love you so much, don't fucking leave me!"

the boy isn't returning the hold, and she feels his hand slipping. her heart beats so fast, so strong, it feels like her painful chest will burst. her heart thumps in a thunderous rhythm. she chokes down her sobs to stop him, to stop all of this, "p-please, tae, d-don't l-leave me here!" she begs.

"tell me one reason why i shouldn't!" he shouts back, voice trembling but at the same time, it's filled with irate.

"i don't have anyone here, my father fucking hates my guts, my mother's dead, my so-called friends probably won't even notice once i'm gone! there is nothing for me to live for!" he continues to shout and she sees his eyes prickling with tears as looks up at her. it's so hard to speak when she feels like her arm is about to detach from her fucking body.

"YOU HAVE ME!" she screams back.

"you have me, taehyung! i'll be here for you till the end— i'll forever be here. even if y-you push me away, i'm going to keep coming back— b-because i love you so god damn much, it fucking hurts! i— i'm g-going to stick by your side till this universe ends," she says.

"forever i-is a long time, taehyung. and— and i am willing to spend e-every last second of this t-time with you," she feels the grip on taehyung's hand slip even more, and she is terrified.

"p-please t-taehyung, i'm here. i'll always be h-here," she can hardly see taehyung clearly by now as her vision is completely blinded by tears.

"don't do this, please, tae," she begs desperately, her voice sounding so weak.

and taehyung returns the hold, he grips on her hand tightly.

she gasps as taehyung holds onto the edge of the bridge with his other hand, proceeding to grip so tight his knuckles turn white on the railings, trying to get up. she uses all her strength to pull him up. she's thankful, so fucking thankful that taehyung has made the decision that he doesn't want to end this all yet.

they finally manage the get taehyung back on the concrete surface and they collapse on the floor. she immediately crumples into his embrace, hugging him so tightly. taehyung's arms drap around her petite figure, trying to calm down the beating of his heart as well.

"you're- y-you're right, i don't want to die yet." he pushes her deeper into his embrace as she sobs uncontrollably whilst burying her head on his neck.

"you're here, and— i don't want to go," he continues and strokes her head in a calm rhythm.

"i love you, it's okay. it's okay," he reassures her. "it's okay."

she raises her head, looking absolutely wrecked as she stares into the beautiful brown orbs that illuminates her entire world. the most beautiful pair of eyes she's ever seen. taehyung smiles so lovingly and leans in, taking her lips in his. their mouths move in perfect sync as if they were made for each other. taehyung cups her cheeks with both his hands and deepens the kiss. they kiss so passionately like a fairytale, filled with genuine love and joy.

it doesn't end near the ocean.
