Chapter 31...

"Where the hell have you been!" Was the first thing out of Josie's mouth the moment I stepped back into the room. A quick glance at the clock on the wall told me I was gone for almost an hour. (I can't wait to read all the 'where the hell have you been loca' comments :D)

"Um." I sent her a sheepish look. Sydni and Evelyn standing around her looking at me with suspicious looks.

"Did you do it?" Tasha asked. The only one aware of where I was. Biting my lip I looked at her.

"I did." At my words Tasha let out a squeal making everyone jump.

"What's going on?" Sydni looked between Tasha and I. Nothing could stop a grin from spreading across my face as I faced everyone.

"I got my man."

All at once everyone let out a yell before coming towards me and wrapping me in a huge group hug. I've never felt this happy before and I felt like I was going to explode from it.

"You did it!" Sydni beamed at me.

"I'm so happy for you." Josie smiled.

"Told ya." Tasha said with a smirk.

"Your man? Did I miss something?" Evelyn asked, looking confused. As the girls moved away I bit my lip slowly walking towards Evelyn. Yeah nothing scary about telling your boyfriends mother that you are dating her son. Inwardly I squealed at Landon being my boyfriend. We didn't exactly say those words to each other but we didn't need too.

"So um.." I readied myself. "Me and Landon are seeing each other." Evelyn was quiet for a moment.

"Oh that's old news." She waved it off. My mouth fell open and I'm pretty sure the girls did too.

"Wait, what?"

"I know my son. He's been smitten with you since day one. Plus after our paint class he called me to see if you guys had fun. He's never done that before." I just stared at her in shock. Landon's mom knew long before anyone else. "He can't hide anything from me."

I wasn't sure what to say to that. Evelyn didn't sound like she was mad or anything about us being together.

"So you're okay we are together?"

"Of course I am." She came forward and wrapped me into a hug. "You two are perfect together."

Hearing her say that made me sag against her in relief. I looked up to Evelyn and wanted her approval to be with her son. She was the best mom and woman I've ever met. Our hug only lasted a minute before Tasha interrupted.

"As much as I love this we only have a few minutes before the wedding starts and you Lydia need to get cleaned up." She all but pulled us apart and directed me towards the makeup chair. "Do not move until she is done fixing you up." Tasha basically threatened.

As she flitted off to make sure Josie was all set to go I sat still as the makeup artist came over. The disappointed look she had made me send her a guilty smile.

"Sorry." She tsked before getting to work on fixing my makeup I cried and kissed off.

With the wedding about to start, Sydni pointing out the guests showing up outside, the room broke out into movement. The photographers for the magazine taking pictures of Josie and Tasha fixing her dress. Evelyn was taking pictures on her own phone.

It only took the makeup artist five minutes to fix my face. She gave me a stern look to behave before she packed her stuff up.

"Lets get a final picture of all of you." The photographer instructed. All of us, including Evelyn, crowded around the bride as photo after photo were taken.

"I'm going to head down and check on the boys to make sure they are ready." Evelyn said a minute later. "I'll see you downstairs." After giving Josie another hug Evelyn slipped out of the room, leaving the four of us.

"Thank you guys for everything." Josie looked at each of us, her eyes going glossy. "I couldn't have done all of this without you."

"We will always be here." Tasha promised.

"We couldn't be happier for you Jo." Sydni gave her a smile.

"Hope you know you are the glue that holds us all together." She really was. Without her none of us would be friends. "We love you." The others mirrored my words as Josie tried her hardest not to cry.

"Time to go get married." Josie said, fanning her face but the smile on her face was the brightest I've ever seen.

With a cheer from all of us we helped Josie out the door. Since I only had one good hand I walked beside Josie holding our bouquets since I couldn't do much. Tasha and Sydni helping hold her train.

We descended the stairs and came to the little out cove that lead outside. From here I could hear the chatter of guests and the orchestra getting ready. I waited for the dread to take over me about being here. At being in a wedding. The first wedding I've been to since mine. But it never came.

I still felt sad over it. Pretty sure I always will. It was a life altering event but after coming to accept what happened, allowing myself to slowly move on from it, I finally felt free from it. It was still going to take me awhile to fully move on from it all but today I took a big step in the right direction.

"Oh Jo." Turning the corner we found all the guys, minus Wyatt of course, staring at Josie. It was Trevor who spoke first. "You look beautiful." Trevor may be Tasha's boyfriend but the friendship between Trevor and Josie has always been rock solid since they met.

One by one each of the guys came forward to hug Josie. Being careful of her dress, curtesy of Tasha all but demanding they be careful.

"Wyatt's going to die when he sees you." Bryton commented as he hugged her. "So happy for you." I heard him whisper.

Next was Landon. My eyes were glued to him as he stepped forward, sending me a wink before hugging Josie.

"I'm glad you are going to be my sister in law, even though you annoy the shit out of me sometimes."

"Guess I'll take you as my brother in law. Could do worse." I wanted to snort at the their interaction. It was so Landon and Josie coded. They give each other such shit but you can tell they actually like one another. "You better be good to Lydia or I'll haunt you in your sleep."

My eyebrows rose at her whisper. I only heard it cause I was standing the closet. She pulled back with an innocent look, as if she didn't just threaten Landon. He looked over her head at me raised eyebrows to which I just shrugged.

"Can't believe my first girlfriend is leaving me." Mateo said as he came towards Josie. "You sure you want to marry Wyatt? Just tell me now and I'll get you out of here." He pretended to whisper but we all could hear him.

"I love you Mateo." Josie yanked him into a hug. He easily towered over her.

"Technically I did see you first." Mateo mumbled. "Guess I'll settle for being your side piece."

"Sounds good to me." The two shared a smile.

Just moments later the orchestra played a few strings, our cue that it was time. Josie glanced at all of us, looking a tad bit nervous. As Tasha whispered something to her the rest of us moved towards the entryway, standing with our pairs like we were told earlier.

Because Landon was Wyatt's best man he was paired with Tasha while I was with Trevor. Bryton and Sydni would lead us together, followed by me and Trevor and then Landon and Tasha. As for Mateo he stood in front of us all adjusting the fanny pack around his waist.

Josie had decided awhile ago she was going to walk down the aisle alone. This moment was going to be hard for her without her dad. Two nights ago, after my little breakdown about Landon, Josie broke down and admitted she was having a hard time not having her dad here. That all she wanted was him to be the one to walk her down the aisle.

I only met her dad, Anthony, only handful of times before he passed. He would come to the office a few times to see Josie. Just by looking at him you knew he was proud of his daughter. And I know for a fact he would be so proud of her today. While he may not be here physically, I know he was going to be right by her side the entire way.

Taking a deep breath Josie gave us a nod that she was ready. At her cue Mateo started forward. With my arm laced through Trevors the two of us filed after Bryton and Sydni. We stepped out onto the the pathway leading to the gardens.

Thankfully the weather was perfect today for the wedding. Not a cloud in sight, the air warmer than it has been. Not even a small breeze was here to ruin it. It's like the weather knew today was a big deal.

In a line we all walked down the pathway a tiny bit before the guests came into view. All the while there were multiple photographers snapping pictures as we passed.

Catching sight of Mateo the orchestra started playing, indicating we were coming. Up ahead I saw Wyatt standing there, under the flower arch with the minister. He was shifting on his feet, eyes laser focused in our direction.

Trevor and I were a few steps behind Bryton and Sydni so when Mateo hit the aisle leading towards the alter we could see him reach into his fanny pack. I stifled a laugh as he pulled out handfuls of flower petals and began throwing them in the air.

In true Mateo fashion he made it a performance. Twirling in a circle while throwing petals. Stopping beside some of Wyatt's teammates and sprinkling the petals on top of them. The guests laughed at his antics as he did it the whole way down. Before he reached the end he turned to face everyone.

With a huge handful he struck a pose and throw the petals in the air above him, having them rain down on him. Taking a little bow he winked before moving off to sit beside his mom. Behind him I could see Wyatt shaking his head but smiling.

My throat closed up as Trevor and I walked down the aisle. The last time I did this I was the one getting married. I still remember the anxiousness, the fear, as I walked. I didn't feel any of that right now. Instead I felt happiness for Josie and Wyatt. Pure and utter joy for the couple.

Giving Trevor's arm a squeeze we branched off and took our spots near the alter. Trevor squeezed Wyatt's shoulder as he passed. Getting to my spot I looked back at the aisle. My eyes immediately going to Landon's as he and Tasha walked. I was still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that he was all mine. That I didn't ruin it.

He met my eyes briefly before the orchestra changed songs. As one the guests rose from their seats as Perfect by Ed Sheeran was played by the violins and cellos. Landon and Tasha took their places just as Josie appeared down the aisle.

I looked away from her for just a second to see Wyatt. The way he looked at her. The pure adoration and love made tears spring to my eyes. I watched as his hands trembled at his sides, jaw clenched so tight as he stared at his bride.

Glancing away quickly I looked at Josie. She glided down the aisle, her dress billowing around her with each step. She only had eyes for Wyatt.

Beside me I heard Tasha and Sydni sniffle. My own tears now making their way down my face. Looking back at Wyatt I saw his shoulders shake, Landon reaching out to touch him as Wyatt silently held back tears.

When Josie got close enough I could see she was trying to hold back her own tears. Me, along with everyone else, had already lost the battle. Tears streaming down our faces. I gripped the stems of my flowers tight in my hand as Wyatt stepped forward, offering Jo his hand.

The two shared a watery smile that said more than any words could. The violins and cello slowly faded as Tasha took Josie's bouquet before the pair stood opposite of each other, hands intertwined.

The crowd took their seats as the minister started talking. Everything was quiet as he talked, the sound of his voice carrying through the gorgeous garden.

Halfway through I looked over at Landon. He was already looking at me. Those beautiful blue/green eyes glued to me. The sound of the ministers voice fading into the background as I stared.

I love him.

The words hit me straight in the gut. I was long past falling for him. Pretty sure I passed that point ages ago. It's just taken me this long to finally admit it to myself. To finally let myself love someone again.

The longer I stared at Landon the more certain I became. He's the man I've waited my whole life for. I had to go through heartbreak to get here, to get to the one person who would truly love me. I knew deep in my bones that Landon Boone was the person meant for me. It's taken 29 years to find him.

From the way he was looking at me, love in his eyes, I knew he felt it too. What started off as hate when we met slowly merged into feelings I've never felt before. I thought I knew what love was with Jared but that wasn't love. Not even close.

This feeling in my chest. In my whole body. That was love.

I sucked in a shaky breath as it all sunk in.

In the background I could hear Wyatt speaking. I forced my eyes away from Landon to focus back on the wedding happening. But as Wyatt and Josie said their vows my gaze kept slipping back to Landon's. Each and every time he would also look at me, a little smile playing at his lips.

"With that I now pronounce you, Wyatt and Josie Boone, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The minister announced.

I smiled widely as Wyatt grabbed Josie, dipping her as he kissed her. Everyone stood up cheering. I let out a cheer of my own. Tasha and Sydni clapping and cheering loudly. I could see Mateo yelling as he stood next to Evelyn.

Bringing Josie back up Wyatt whispered something that made her laugh. Slowly they turned, lifting their joined hands together, and smiled at everyone. Husband and Wife. Mr. and Mrs. Boone.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

My babies are married. Gosh I wanna cry, won't lie I did cry a little while writing this. I was actually listening to a playlist of violin and cello covers and 'Perfect' came up and I just knew it was the perfect fit.

I didn't include all the boring wedding stuff because if you are like me I just skip it. Instead I wanted to be a bit different and show the wedding in Lydia's eyes. Especially since she was suppose to get married so it felt right to be in her head while it was going on.

But would you guys like a bonus chapter about the wedding but in Josie and Wyatt POV??? If so let me know!!!

I can't believe three books later Josie and Wyatt are married. Ahh I feel like a proud parent. Also can we talk about the venue?! It's a real place in Toronto too.
