Chapter 26....

"How's the burger?" Landon asked from the other side of the couch.

"Sogooddd." I all but moaned around a bite of my burger.

True to Landon's word, after we got out of the hospital he drove us to Rick's and got me a giant hamburger and onion rings. I had to physically stop myself from eating it on the way back home.

Eating with one hand was difficult. The light blue cast I was now sporting went all the way to my second knuckles, around my thumb, and up my forearm. It made moving my fingers minimal which obviously was the point.

It had taken another hour at the hospital to get the cast and to go over what I needed to do to keep it clean. If I was going to shower I have to put a plastic wrap on it. They recommended that I take it easy on my arm and not to over extend my fingers so the bones could heal. So all in all I was going to be one-handed for the next two months.

The TV was on, the sound soft, as we ate. Now that I was home in my comfy PJ's, fed, the guilt of making Landon stay with me all day was building. He's literally taken the entire day to be with me at the hospital when he could have easily dropped me off and gone about his business.

"Thank you for today." I said after I finished my hamburger. I glanced over in his direction. "You didn't have to spend your day at the hospital with me."

"I know but I wanted too." He said it so casually as he ate his fries. Like what he said didn't make tears prick my eyes. No one has ever done something like that for me.

"I didn't thank you for coming to get me last night." I kept my eyes on my food as I spoke. "We didn't mean for things to get so crazy. It was just suppose to be a fun bachelorette party." Landon deserved some answers after coming to get us late last night and taking care of me all day.

"I know you weren't exactly thrilled about last night." I said this part softly. Landon tried to hide how angry he was but even drunk I knew he was.

"I'm not mad at you." Landon said a moment later. His words making me look over at him. "I'm mad that you were put in a position where you had to defend yourself. I'm mad you hurt your hand on a piece of shit who doesn't know what the word no means." Each word out of his mouth had a bite to it. When he looked over at me I almost fell back against the couch with the intensity of his stare.

"I'm mad that I wasn't there to protect you." He leaned forward, elbows on his knees as his gaze pierced right through me.

"I..."

"I'm not a fan of someone touching what's mine." He said it so matter of factly.

"Yours." It came out more as a question. My heart pounding in my chest at the mention of me being his.

The feeling that filled my chest at his words scared but also thrilled me. I didn't think I was capable of feeling something like this again. For a second I thought about denying it. It's been a long stressful day and could easily write it off. But I didn't want to. Didn't want to deny this feeling growing inside of me.

As much as I wanted to tell Landon I liked him, that I wanted this to be more than just friends with benefits I couldn't get the words past my lips. I wanted to tell him but not yet. I'll tell him soon.

Until then I can give him something else.

"There is something else I wanted to talk about." I said a moment later, changing the subject. Abandoning the rest of my onion rings I sat back on my couch, drawing my legs up and putting the pillow holding my hand on my lap.

As if sensing the subject was going to be serious Landon moved closer on the couch, giving me his full attention.

"I didn't exactly drop the bomb about growing up in the foster care in the best way." I winced as I remembered how I babbled on the ride home, drunk as hell and unable to stop my mouth.

"You don't have to-" Landon started to say but I cut him off.

"I'm not ashamed of it." I really wasn't. Being in the foster care taught me a lot of things. Some the hard way but without that I'm not sure I'd be the person I am today. "It wasn't the best years of my life by any means but strangely enough I'm grateful for it."

"Was it.." Landon trailed off as if he wasn't sure what he could ask. I knew what question he was going to ask. It was the same question most people ask when they find out.

"Nothing bad happened." I reassured him. The tension in his shoulders easing slightly. "The couple that took me in were nice enough. They were spread thin taking in five kids when there really wasn't room in the house for all of us. But they fed us, clothed us. They let me stay until I graduated and got into Uni."

"Do you still talk to them?"

"No. Once I left and they stopped receiving money for fostering me they no longer contacted me. Not that they ever really did in the first place." It's not uncommon for foster parents to lose contact with the kids they foster after they are no longer around. A lot of foster parents only do it for the money the government gives them, which can be a lot per kid they foster. It's sad but true.

"What about your real mom?"

"I tried to find her when I was 16." Even after all these years the thought of my mom made me chest ache. Not because I missed her, I stopped missing her when she didn't come back to get me a few months after she left. No, I missed the fact that I never got a normal upbringing with a family. Missed what could have been.

"No one had heard or seen from her in months. For all I knew she had passed away." I shrugged. "I stopped looking because she clearly never wanted to be found."

I looked away from him so I wouldn't see the look of pity on his face. It was one of the reasons why I don't tell anyone about my upbringing. I hate the pity and sympathy looks I get. People's sympathy does nothing to fix or undo my childhood. I don't want it or need it. Least of all from Landon.

"Sometimes it would be easier if they died, even if that makes us shitty people." Out of everyone Landon knew what is was like to have an absentee parent. Both of ours left because they didn't want us. Our stories were a tiny bit different but we both knew how that felt. I should have known better than to think Landon would pity me. He was the last person who would do that.

"We are pretty shitty aren't we." I looked over at him, a grin playing at my lips.

"The shittiest." We both shared a look that had us chuckling.

"Thank you for telling me." He said a minute later.

"Yeah well, thought I'd return the favor since you told me yours." I shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. There was still something big from my past I need to tell him but I couldn't get the words out right now. Today's already been a lot and don't need to add to it. Soon.

The silence that stretched between us was surprisingly not awkward. It was nice to sit here and not have to say anything. Only a minute passed before Landon stood up.

"How about I clean this up and we can start a movie." I didn't even try to argue with him or make some excuse to get him to leave. I wanted him to stay more than I wanted anything else.

"I'll go change." While I may be wearing somewhat comfy clothes I really wanted my PJ's, especially after spending almost the whole day at the hospital with these on. "I'll be right back." I cradled my hand to my chest, not bothering to use the sling the doctor sent me home with.

"Let me know if you need help." His words made me smile as I headed for my bedroom.

While Landon cleaned up the living room I pulled out my PJ's. I told myself I could easily get myself dressed but found out moments later it was not going to be that easy. Taking my clothes off was the easy part, getting them back on was another.

Getting my shirt on wasn't too hard since it was Landon's shirt from earlier and it fell down past my thighs. Putting my pants on was another story. I glared at the fuzzy bottoms sitting on the floor. I was going to have to learn to get dressed with one hand but right now was not the time.

Using my foot I kicked the pants off to the side to deal with later. Going into my bathroom I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and cringed. The bags under my eyes were anything but designer. My hair was sticking up in every direction. I have a feeling it's looked that way since we got to the hospital.

Grabbing my brush with my left hand I tried to brush my hair but I clearly don't know how to use my left hand. I silently cursed that I wasn't left handed, would make this so much easier. Seeing that I wasn't going to be able to pull my hair up on my own I felt tears prick my eyes.

Nothing could stop the tears from running down my face. I've never been a crier so seeing the tears made me angry which just made me cry harder. I leaned against the counter silently crying as I tried to get myself together.

"Blondie?"

I lifted my eyes to the mirror, finding Landon standing behind me. As soon as I met his eyes I started crying even harder.

"I can't pull my hair up." I cried, although it came out a bit more jumbled. I really needed to get myself together but clearly my body had other ideas. "And I can't wear pants."

In two long strides Landon came up behind, gently turning me around before wrapping me in his arms. His chin came down onto of my head as I buried my face in his chest. His cologne making me burrow even closer.

"It's okay." He whispered against my head.

It took a few minutes but the tears finally ebbed. Landon keeping me wrapped tightly in his arms as I calmed down. Now that the tears had dried I felt stupid for being so emotional. I'm Lydia Ellis I don't get emotional.

"Sorry." I sniffled, pulling away wiping my face.

"Hey," Landon's hand came up to cup the sides of my face. Those beautiful blue/green eyes staring right at me, framed in the most gorgeous thick lashes. Lashes he had no right having. "Don't apologize." His thumbs softly brushing the top of my cheekbones.

"I got your shirt all wet." My eyes found the darker spot on his shirt where my face had been.

"Not the worst place you've gotten wet." The way the corner of his lip quirked up I instantly knew he was meaning something dirty. "Pretty sure you've gotten my face wet a time or two."

"You are such a perv." I said but my words held no heat.

"Don't see you complaining when my head is between your legs." He was purposely changing the conversation to get my mind off of crying in front of him. He wasn't wrong though, I'll never complain with his head between my legs.

His lips twitched at my lack of response. He loved finding ways to make me speechless. Whether that be something dirty or something so out of pocket.

"Let me help you with your hair so we can go watch a movie." Giving him a small nod he let me go, grabbing my brush from my hand. Gesturing with his finger for me to turn to face the mirror he moved behind me.

I watched through the mirror, my heart feeling like it was going to burst, as Landon gently ran the brush through my hair. He was doing it so softly like he was afraid it was going to hurt me. As he started to gather it in his hand to make a ponytail I couldn't help but snort.

"You're gripping my hair like you're about to fuck me." He had my hair gripped into one hand close to my head, holding it like he does when he's sliding in my mouth or behind me. It was definitely not how I pull my own hair up.

Without a word he yanked my head back by my hair, making me crane my neck backwards until I was looking at him upside down.

"Maybe I am."

Something's wrong with me cause the grip he had on my hair and his tone was enough to make my thighs squeeze together.

"I could easily lift this shirt and slide inside of you." Even upside down I could see the look in his eyes that said he'd do exactly what he just said.

"That would make me feel better." I said breathlessly.

"Oh yeah? You want to be bent over this counter and watch as I take you?" Landon bent his face over mine, lips barely grazing mine.

"Yes please." It's exactly what I needed right now. I needed him like I needed air. His eyes searched mine as if trying to see if I really meant it. I knew the moment he saw I was serious as his lips crashed against mine.

How can someone kiss so good upside down?

Landon didn't stop the kiss as his other hand came around and slide beneath his t-shirt. He pulled away as soon as his hand got between my legs. I smirked at the way his eyes darkened.

"You are naked under here."

"Couldn't put them on one handed." My grin fell off my face as he cupped my bare sex. Going without underwear has turned out to be the best decision I've made today.

"Already so wet for me." Landon groaned as he released my hair. "Look at the mirror." His voice whispered next to my ear.

I did as he instructed, looking at the two of us in the mirror. I loved how much bigger he was than me. His chin came to the top of my head, his shoulders wider than me, making me feel small.

My breath hitched in my throat as Landon nudged me feet further apart. With one hand between my legs he brought the other up to encase my throat. He didn't put any pressure just bracketing my throat, letting me know he could easily cut of my air supply if he wanted.

"Look at you." His lips grazing my ear as he looked at us in the mirror. His middle finger slipping between my folds, spreading my wetness. It was beyond hot seeing his hand move underneath my shirt. "God, I love the feel of you on my fingers."

As he slipped a finger in me a small moan escaped my lips. I leaned my back against his chest as a single digit filled me.

"You're moans are the sweetest thing I've ever heard." The way he whispered against my ear made a shiver go up my spine. My hips slowly moved with his finger, he held his hand still so I was basically fucking myself on just his middle finger.

It should be a crime how easily Landon turned me on. All he had to do was say a few dirty words and I was instantly wet. Add in him touching me the way he is right now and I was ready to climb him like a tree. I was torn between being grateful for the past girls he's been with that taught him exactly how to please a woman, or being severely jealous that they taught him that.

When Landon added another finger my eyes started to close. His grip on my neck tightened just slightly as his stubbled grazed my ear.

"Eyes open baby." He said it softly but I heard the clear demand in it. My eyes opened, instantly latching onto the two of us. "Watch as I make you cum all over my fingers."

I couldn't look away even if I tried. The sight of his hand moving faster under the shirt, hand bracketing my throat. His eyes were staring right at me, watching as I slowly came undone under his touch.

My legs shook with each thrust of his fingers. My one good hand gripped the counter top as I felt the pressure in my lower belly grow.

"That's it. Let it go." He coach, somehow fingering my pussy even harder and faster.

I whimpered around the grip on my throat. Every passing second getting me closer to the edge.

"Be a good girl and come for me." He crooked his fingers at just the right angle and that was all it took for me to explode. Just as I came Landon tightened his grip on my neck, cutting my air off, making my orgasm that much harder.

My eyes threatened to close but I forced them open to watch myself come on his hand. Landon's eyes dark. His fingers never once slowed dragging out my orgasm until I was gasping.

Once he was satisfied he gently slid his fingers out of me and released my throat. I sagged against his front, legs feeling like jello. His hand slipped out from under my shirt moving upwards until his fingers were inches from my lips.

"Open."

I didn't give two fucks as I opened my mouth, letting him slide his fingers against my tongue. I closed my mouth around him, tasting myself. When he groaned against my neck I smiled around his fingers.

Letting his fingers go with a pop I went to turn around, ready to reciprocate only for Landon to hold me in place.

"No." I opened my mouth to protest, tilting my head back once more but he shook his head. "Not tonight." He said it gently, bending down to place a kiss on my lips. It was a simple kiss yet I felt it in my bones.

He didn't give me another chance to argue before he was grabbing my brush again, gathering my hair in his hands. While I felt bad not reciprocating I felt tiredness weighing down on me.

I stayed quiet as Landon did his best pulling my hair into a ponytail. It was a bit lopsided with some hair bubbles but I didn't care. How could I when he had a proud look on his face.

After finishing up in the bathroom Landon grabbed my uninjured hand, leading me back to the living room. I had to bite the inside of my cheek so I wouldn't cry at the sight of the living room. While I was changing Landon had made popcorn and gotten the couch all ready with blankets. Blankets I forgot I even owned. The tv was cued up on Netflix ready for us to start something.

I didn't trust myself not to burst into tears so I just let him tug me towards the couch. He was so gentle as I got comfortable on the couch, draping a fuzzy blanket on me before he moved to sit next to me on my left. I tugged the blanket so both of us were under it, getting comfortable on the couch together.

Right now all my walls were down. It's been a day and the only thing I truly wanted was to snuggle up to him and watch a movie. And I did just that. Not letting any inside voices tell me I should be running the opposite direction.

Landon put his arm around my waist, tugging me into his side. I laid my head on his shoulder letting his warmth seep into my bones as he started How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days.

As the two of us sat there, cuddled up on the couch, watching a cheesy romcom I knew one thing for sure.

I've fallen for Landon Boone.

Same Lydia Same. I'm past the point of just falling for Landon Boone.
