That's The Tea!

Muffled noises began to fill Pin's head as she furrowed her eyebrows together. She opened her eyes sleepily, and could barely make out anything that was around her. All she could see was blurs; so many grey blobs and, every now and then, fuzzy blobs moving around. She let out a dazed mumble, as she slowly lifted her arm. She began to try and shift so she could lay on her side, but a wave of pain soon crashed onto her. She let out a yelp, as she collapsed back onto her backside.

The noises began to fade in more clearly.

"Pin! Pin, take it easy..!"

"I think she needs more anesthetic. TB!"

"Guys, relax. She's simply waking up. Let her readjust to everything, you've drugged her up enough to a point where she could pass out again."

Pin felt a pair of hands rub her arm gently. She let her eyes flutter open, and as her vision began to clear up, she looked up.
Coiny's eyes greeted hers as he let a sad smile grow on his face.

"Hey.." he whispered, moving his hand to her cheek and stroking it gently. This made a wobbly smile grow on Pin's face, as she closed her eyes and sighed.
She liked this; really liked this.

"Well? Is she getting up, or what?"
Ugh.

Pin blinked a bit, and looked around the room, dazed.
Golf Ball was sitting on top of Tennis Ball, a clipboard in hand. Fries was beside them, holding some rubbing alcohol and cotton balls. He gave her a smile.

"Glad to see your up. We thought you'd slip into a coma, with the amount of medicine they put in you." He placed the bottle and bag on a side table.
Pin could already feel the effects of the medicine crawling in her, as her words quickly became more slurred and sluggish.

"Wha..." was all she was able to mumble out.

Golf Ball jumped down and walked to the side of her bed.
"You're in the lab. We figured we'd patch you up and give you some medicine; the injuries you had weren't fatal, but we had to do some work on them. Especially..." she made a gesture towards Pin's face.
Pin lifted her hand up, and her fingers brushed against a soft, bundle of bandages that was wrapped around her eye. She blinked even more; confusion eating her away with the antibiotics.
"How did...why..." she looked down at her wrists. Bandages hugged them, the white slowly fading to a light shade of pink from the blood. Bandages were on her legs, covering the scratches and cuts she had before. She looked at Coiny; fear slowly starting to eat at her as she was realizing what was done.
Coiny put a hand on her cheek, and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Hey...it's okay, you're okay.." he whispered. He let his forehead touch hers, as she felt her throat tighten.

Memories began to flood back into her dull mind, as she began to realize what she had done.
Woody.
The plants.
The message.

She had to make up an act; she had to make one up now. There was clearly enough evidence that could lead to them finding out that it was her. She closed her eyes for a moment, before she suddenly sprung up, putting on a small act for the others.

"No..no NO, HE- HE's GONNA FIND ME, HE'S..." Her voice was panicked yet slow, still not being able to speak well from the side affects of the medication. She looked around and began to get up quickly, wincing in pain.

"He's GONNA KILL ME..." she wailed out.
At this point, Coiny and the others were all around her, concern and suspicion growing on their faces. Coiny gently grabbed Pin's shoulders as he laid her back down onto the cot.
"Woah, Pin, take it easy..." Coiny gave GB a worried look as she sighed.

"She has to explain what happened back there. That was no accident this time, and she is our only witness." Golf Ball looked towards Tennis Ball.
"That was clearly planned and carried out."

"But are you sure we should ask her in THIS state? She can barely speak for coin's sake!" He made a gesture towards Pin, who's eye was closing, and then snapping back, wide awake. Her mumbled were incoherent as her body trembled in fear. Golf Ball looked down at her, and rolled her eyes.

"I guess...you're right." She mumbled. Tennis Ball looked at the notes GB had, and looked back towards Coiny.

"Make sure she gets plenty of rest so the effects of the anesthesia can wear out more quickly. Don't mention anything about what happened back there either; we all need to know what happened, and we don't want her to either forget, or give it all away and not speak again." He instructed. Coiny nodded, as he held Pin's frail hand, rubbing it slowly.

"I'll do my best.." Coiny sighed out. Golf Ball let out a yawn, as she looked over at the clock on her wall.

"Perfect. The day is coming to a close; I think we all could go for some sleep right now."

Fries walked over to Coiny, and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Keep an eye on her. I'm gonna head back before it gets too dark out there." Fries looked at Pin, who was still mumbling, but had her eye closed. Coiny nodded, and looked at him.

"Thanks Fries..be careful out there." His voice has a sad tone to it, as Fries sympathetically patted his back, before making his way out of the room. Golf Ball led him out, rambling on about how if he were to see anything, to haul ass back to them.

Tennis Ball began to walk out, but was stopped by Coiny's weakened voice.

"This is my fault."

Tennis Ball turned around, a confused expression on his face.
"What?"

"This is my fault." Coiny looked at him, his face darkened and exhausted.

"I should've went with her to the garden, I shouldn't have let her go alone with this situation.." His voice began to wobble, as he looked back at Pin.

Tennis Ball walked back, and stood by Coiny, a sympathetic expression on his face.

"Coiny, none of us knew that this would happen." He looked up.
"Although with this situation..." he stopped, as he noticed Coiny glaring daggers at him. Tennis Ball let out a nervous chuckle as he stepped back.

"B-But look on the bright side!" He exclaimed.
"She wasn't terribly hurt! And she isn't dead!"

"But what if SHE WAS?!" Coiny yelled back at him. This made TB jump.
"I can't imagine what would've happened if we decided to look for her later, what if we found her and it was too late?!" He hid his face.

"I can't believe someone as frail as WOODY would do this!" He let a tear slip out of his eye, as his hand balled up into a fist. Tennis Ball sighed, and stood up.

"Listen, let's not think about that right now. She's here, and she's alive. She's breathing. We all did what we could.." he stopped.
"But don't blame this on yourself Coiny. This kind of craziness would have happened anyways; and who knows. Maybe it wasn't Woody who did it." He closed his eyes, in thought.

"Maybe someone else did it; and tried to kill Pin-"

"DON'T." Coiny put a hand up, silencing Tennis Ball mid-sentence.
"J-Just..Don't remind me." He mumbled.

"Sorry..." Tennis Ball looked over at him.
"But, for now, let's just focus on her well-being. She's going to be okay, she just...needs some rest. We all need rest, after this craziness of a day." He yawned.

Coiny looked down at Pin, and sighed.
"I guess you're right..." was all he was able to mumble. Tennis Ball gave him a kind smile, and Coiny exchanged a smile back.

"TENNIS BALL!" Golf Ball's voice echoed through out the building.

"COME HERE! I NEED YOU TO DO SOMETHING FOR ME!"

Tennis Ball sighed as he looked back towards Coiny.

"You rest up too; she'll be out like a light soon. I'm gonna lock the lab down, and we'll be upstairs if both of you need anything." And with that, Tennis Ball left, shuttling the door behind him.

Coiny looked down, and frowned at Pin. She was continuing to mumble, but her eye was still closed. He held her hand, and gave it a squeeze.

"I'm sorry Pin..." he whispered.
"I'm sorry I couldn't do enough to help you..."

Pin's mumbling soon came to a stop, as she heard Coiny's voice. The room doin fell into a silence, besides the soft chirps of the crickets outside.
And soon, a sniffle.

Coiny angrily wiped his eyes and held her hand.

"Ugh; I feel terrible. Angry? Confused...." he spoke to himself. Pin let her eye slowly drag open as she looked over towards him.

"It's all my fault..I'm a terrible...b..Boy.." his voice faded as he tried to say the word. He wasn't used to it; he never imagined he would be dating such a heroic leader like Pin.
His eyes soon darted towards Pin as he felt her hand brush against his cheek. She smiled weakly as her eye began to sparkle with tears.

"Hey..." she whispered.
"I..It's ok..."

Coiny put his hand on hers, as he shook his head.
"I-It ISN'T Pin! I should've went with you! Or looked for you earlier! Or- Or-"

He was suddenly shushed by Pin, who put her hand on his mouth.

"I'm...I'm okay..alright?" She mumbled.
"I'm hurt...sure...but..I'll be ok...don't..blame yourself..."

Coiny sadly embraced her, giving her cheek a kiss. She smiled even more, feeling herself melt into the warmth of his arms. She felt so...safe. She felt like nothing was ever going to hurt her, when she was with Coiny.

But that was the issue. No one would be able to hurt her.

Except herself.

"Flower, please stop, Book didn't do anything-"

"BOOK CAN KISS MY ASS!"

Ruby sighed angrily and crossed her arms. Arguing with Flower is like fighting with a fire-breathing dragon, especially when she was in a bad mood.

"Flower, me and Book were just hanging out! We just wanted some time together since we barely hang out, singe they're "alternates"." She used air-quotation marks at the word "alternate". Flower rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"And you guys were out for HOURS! I was worried!" Flower stomped her foot. Ruby's hands soon balled up into fists, as she leaned on one side.

"And what is THAT supposed to mean." Ruby gritted through her teeth.

Flower opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She stood there, and stayed quiet, trying to find the words she could say to Ruby. Ruby tapped her foot impatiently.

"Well?"

"I just didn't want you to leave me for her."

Ruby's eyes widened as she stared at Flower in disbelief.

"Huh?!"

Flower glared down at her. "Do you REALLY want me to repeat myself?!" She snapped. Ruby simply stared up at her, confused and oblivious to what she meant. Flower rubbed her temples and sighed.

"I didn't want you going with Book...because I feel like you're gonna leave me for her."

Flower stared towards her side in shame, before she heard quiet snickering. She looked down at Ruby, and saw her laughing into her hand. Flower felt her cheeks turn red as she crossed her arms.

"H-..Hey! What's so funny?!" She screeched out. Ruby laughed a bit more, before wiping her eyes.

"Flower, are you serious?" She giggled. "I would never do that! I'm not that type of object to do that, thats just really low!" She gently took both of Flower's hands, and held them in her own.

"I love you, and only you. You're beautiful, and I would never leave you for someone else..." She looked down though.

"But I want you to let me do things on my own. Like, let me hang out with my alliance, and my friends, without worrying so much. I just want you to trust me, because..." She looked towards her side.

"I just don't think its right to control my every move, y'know...?"

Flower gave her a saddened look, and sighed, sitting down onto the sidewalk. Ruby did the same, as she crossed her legs and looked towards her way.

"...I'm sorry Ruby." Flower put a hand on her head. "I really have to check myself, I can't do that to you...." She looked down.

"I want to become a better person, I really do; hell, I want to be apart of your alliance with you, and be friends with everyone! But its just..." She sighed.

Ruby patted her back, and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Hey, I understand...I know change is hard, and I know your trying your best to become someone even better. But there's gonna be times where the others just...don't believe you." She looked across the street, towards the woods that were a bit distant.

"Trust me. I try my best to not slip up and make mistakes anymore; for the sake of the alliance. But sometimes, I slip up and just..." She sighed heavily.

"I have to deal with everyone yelling at me."

Flower looked at Ruby, and put a hand on hers. Ruby looked down, and a small smile crept up onto her face. Flower giggled.

"You're cute when you're flustered."

"Mmmm, aw stop..." Ruby gushed, and giggled even more. She looked back at her, beginning to focus once again.

"But, yeah. Change takes time, but in the end, it'll be fantastic. There will be slip ups, but with your non-slip shoes, I'm sure you'll make it through!" She gently punched her arm, and Flower laughed, wrapping her arms around Ruby and letting out a relieved sigh.

"...Thank you Ruby." She whispered.

"I promise I'll try my best to be more better with you."

"You're welcome-"

"GUYS!"

The two looked up, and saw a few figures running towards them.

The alliance.

"Oh, hey guys! What's u-"

"Like, there's no time for greetings, Ruby! You've got to hear, like, what we saw!" Match prated on. Pencil nodded.

"Ooh! So is this gossip, then?" Flower questioned.

"Nono! I think the right term is 'tea'!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Is this tea?"

"Oi, guess so..." Bubble shrugged. Book peered over at the two, waving towards Ruby. Ruby waved back, and Flower gave Book a kind, yet crooked smile. Book chuckled a bit.

"SO! Our little alternates decided to head out into the woods, just because they wanted some time out.." Pencil made a gesture towards Ice Cube and Book, who made their way to the front.

"And, like, you HAVE to hear about what they saw!"

Book coughed a bit, and looked up.

"We were heading up to the mountain because Icey wanted to see the sunset, right?" Book told the others. Everyone nodded.

"And as we were heading up, I hear some noise..." Ice Cube added on.

"So I decided to check it out, but because of that, I kinda drifted away from Book. But, as I went to see what the noise was, I saw..."

"Yes?" Ruby was eagerly listening.

"I saw..."

"YES???" Everyone yelled out at once. Ice Cube felt a mischievous grin grow onto her face, as she leaned in closely.

"I saw Pin and Woody, and I think they were kissing."

Ruby and Flower gasped, before looking at each other.

"But isn't Pin dating Coiny? How could she do that?" Ruby asked, pity filling her voice.

"Oooooh, Coiny is gonna be soooo mad..." Flower sneered.

Book cleared her throat, and got the two to look at her.

"But, as you guys know, Woody is dead, and Pin is hurt. So, our guess is that they were murdered by Leafy."

"But are you sure it was Leafy?" Ice Cube's tone changed.

"She couldn't have done that..."

Book sighed, and looked back up.

"I....don't know Icy. I heard Golf Ball say that Woody was the murderer, because there was a message on the ground saying 'I'm so sorry, it was me.'. But that could've been easily forged." Ruby looked at Book, and raised her hand. Book laughed a bit.

"Yes, Ruby?"

"Um, haven't you guys suspected Pin? She wasn't killed, she was only hurt..."

Book thought for a moment, and looked around, meeting everyone's eyes.

"Maybe it could be. But I don't want to assume anything until we find proof. So listen here."

Everyone leaned in close.

"Tomorrow we're gonna question her about it. We'll take her out of the science lab, or we'll just make sure she's all alone. If she's the culprit, well...we'll turn her in. If she tries any funny stuff...." She paused.

"Let's just say that Coiny won't be very happy, to hear what we saw."
