Out, I Said!

Book couldn't move.

She was paralyzed with fear as she stared at the disembodied head, droplets of blood splashing onto the engraved message on the dirt below. A grave silence hung over the others as they realized the dire situation they are now in.

No one could find anything to say, as fear and horror coiled around their throats and strangled them, cutting off the hopeful gasps of air that could bring them to.

It stayed this way, until Ruby shakily grabbed the door, and slowly brought it to a close, quiet enough to make it seem like there was nothing. She looked up, her face now painted with excruciating fear.

"Book...?" Her voice was merely reduced to a petrified whisper. Book slowly began to move, scooting away from the door as her limbs began to tremble madly in panic. She didn't know what to do.

For the first time through out the hellbent chaos that unfolded in Yoyleland, she genuinely didn't know what to do.

"W-We lost Pencil...we lost Match, we're going to die!" Ice Cube cried out, a slick stream of tears pouring down her eyes. Book covered her face and began to sob out, curling up pathetically on the seat. Bubble was still frozen, a empty blankness in her eyes as her gaze was fixated on the floor.

She was always used to it.

Used to death.

She was used to her entire life disappearing in an instant, that it didn't really affect her anymore.

But under these circumstances...?

She was truly terrified to come face-to-face with death once more.

Ruby looked around, noticing everyone already crossing the breaking point. To them, this was it, and it seems like they're already preparing for their own demise. She also felt the same way- feeling that she should accept the fact that she'll be dead, and never to return. Recovery centers were took for granted, and now, they're permanently gone...

She should've appreciated them more.

But something told her to do...something.

Anything.

Anything to at least fight back...

But they've tried to. Three times. And look where that had led them...

...maybe something to at least let them leave in peace...?

Cruel, she knew, but the possibility of them surviving was extremely slim. There they were, two of the most fragile, weakest objects in the show. Though she wouldn't exactly call Book...fragile. She was a hard-cover...both outside, and in her personality. Standing up for what's right, you know..?

And Ruby herself..?

She's just a gem. What could destroy a gem?

....

Ruby looked up, gently placing her hand on Book's arm. Book's crying came to a quick pause as she looked up, goblets of tears rolling down her face. She noticed Ruby's expression, and slowly began to calm down, wiping her eyes shakily as she scooped her up into her arms.

Ruby just let it happen. She let Book hold her tightly, as her eyes closed. Was it..helping..?

She then felt another object's pair of arms wrap around the two, and she looked up..

Bubble.

Ice Cube huddled up beside the three, closing her eyes sadly as they all stayed in that position. Huddled closely together, a heavy sadness fogging the atmosphere around them.

Ruby didn't want to accept it. She didn't want to die.

She didn't want to die.

All she wanted was to be with her.

Flower..

Here, alive and well, wrapping their arms around each other and not letting go, just like they had told each other when they had begun to date each other. A small smile lifted on her face as she remembered her..

...she began to think about how it would be like if she was here.

They'd rebuild the recovery center. They'd bring back everyone who had fallen into Pin's ruthless hands.

And they'd punish her.

Over.

And over.

Ruby didn't feel any sympathy towards Pin. When she connected the dots, and realized that she was the reason who Flower was gone, a burning hatred replaced the dire emptiness that hummed in her chest.

The only thing she wanted besides Flower...was Pin dead.

....no.

Ruby looked up.

"We're leaving. Now." Her voice broke through the silence, making the others jump in surprise.

"What? What do y-you mean by that?" Ice Cube's frail voice trembled slightly as she looked towards the gem.

"We're leaving this van. I can't stay here and wait for her to come by again and kill us."

"B-But what are we going to do?! She's going to find us, and she's going to-"

"-Kill us, no matter where we go, I KNOW." Ruby sat up, clenching her fists tightly. "But I just can't wait here anymore..."

They all stayed quiet once more, until Book cleared her throat slightly.

"...We...could always sneak up to the Yoyle Needy.." she suggested.

"That sounds nice, but...if she finds us up there, we'll end up like Firey in no time.." Ruby placed a hand on her shoulder comfortingly.

"Whoit about the TLC? We could oilways go there.." Bubble acknowledged, wringing her hands together nervously. Ruby thought for a moment...yet, she shook her head.

"Too risky. We could run into Pin, or she could run into us."

"The path that's taken for Pin's garden I-is also the path that we take to go to the TLC...she could see us.." Book began to open herself up, flipping through pages of guidelines and hidden secrets about the land, until she stopped at a small map that showed the entirety of the city.

Ruby gently traced her finger along a path that they'd take to get to the area where the TLC was located...

She was right. Another path intertwined with theirs, leading up to the TLC, and also heading towards the garden of hell.

"We could always try to swim over the canal...when we do, we head back to the field, where we competed back in BFDIA!"

"But that's 2,763 miles away, once we cross the canal!" Ice Cube was scanning a different page inside of Book, trying to find places where they could be safe from the demon that loomed over them constantly. But as the three charred amongst themselves, there was still one who didn't join in...

Bubble was staring at the ground, towards the lower area of Book's pages. As she did, she noticed a small, folded piece of paper, darkened stains blotching each corner of it. She leaned in closer, grabbing it before inspecting it slightly...

What's this? Some kind of strange bookmark for her or something? She wondered to herself.

She cautiously began to unfold it, her eyebrows furrowing together as she noticed the darkened splotches stained more and more of the page...

"Alright, I think we could always try to go this way? It's a bit longer, but maybe we can-"

"BOOK!"

The broken cry made Book shut herself in surprise, as her eyes frantically looked around the van.

"Wh-wha?! What happened, I-I'm here, I'm here!" She stuttered out.

Her gaze immediately locked onto Bubble's, and it sent a chill down Book's cover.

Bubble's eyes burned with fury, as she clenched the piece of paper in her trembling hands. She breathed heavily, as she muttered out a incoherent sentence.

"Wh-..What did you say, Bubble..?" Book spat out nervously.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THOIS?!"

Pin grasped the cold hand, letting her fingers intertwine with the lifeless ones that dangled before her. A tiny smile grew on her face as she let her eyes close.

Blood was splattered all over her, bags hanging from underneath her eyes. Her body ached, as she held a pair of limbs in her other hand...

~

"PAS DE DEUX, BITCH!" Pencil screamed out angrily, bringing the saw down with all of her might.

In an instant, Pin quickly rolled to her side, her body shape helping her escape the swing that would've dug into her skull. Her...plastic? Whatever she had.

Instead, the saw dug into the ground, and Pencil gasped slightly, grasping its handles and attempting to yank it out. Adrenaline shot through her body as she began to tug at the saw, trying to pry it out of the ground.

Little did she know, that a figure had grabbed hold of the crowbar; slowly beginning to approach her from behind...

"Cmon...CMON!" Pencil screamed out, tugging it more, and more, until...

"YES! COME HERE YOU-"

S P R A C K.

Pencil let out a pained yelp, as the saw flew out of her hands. She grabbed her "neck" in pain, her eyes widening as she turned back-

S P R A C K.

Pin swung the crowbar once more, striking for her head at the second try. This sent Pencil collapsing onto the ground, knocking her out cold as a trail of blood trickled down the side of her head.

Pin stood over her angrily, panting as one hand clenched the crowbar- the other clenching a wound on her head.

"We could've done this the e a s i e r way Pencil..." she hissed out, kneeling down and shakily grabbing the saw.

"But you...you wanted a f i g h t...the memories of your beloved M a t c h filling you with a strength that you hoped could d e f e a t me..." she yanked Pencil's head up.

Wait.

Wait.

"But no...not only did you try to break me...but you a w a k e n e d me."

Stop.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING.

"Now...it's time for me to get what I've been needing the entire time...we could've done this so much quicker, Pencil.." she pressed the points of the saw into her neck..

STOP IT STOP STOP STOP-

S h h k.

"Ah...memories...am I right, Coiny?" Pin giggled out, gently rubbing her thumb over a frigid hand...well...Coiny's hand. She waited for a moment, before she gasped out slightly.

"Of course I remember, why would you think that?!" Pin held up a pair of freshly dismembered hands, the blood still dripping down onto the soil below.

She stood up, swiftly brushing the dirt off of her legs before she looked around.

"Hmm...it only seems fair if we placed you next to the snapdragons...I feel like you'd be able to add some very nice touches to it!" A crooked grin spread in her face, as she made her way around a few plants before gently kneeling down onto the ground. As she pulled out her trowel, she scoffed, crossing her arms.

"What? No! That spot is reserved for a very special object..." she sighed out. "...she's going to add so much to my garden...more colors, more plants, more LIFE! All I have to do is get her! Besides, I know where they're little 'hiding spot' is!"

What are you talking about..?

"Hm?"

What- no, who are you TALKING about?!

"Oh, hush now dearie! You'll see once we finish up over here..." she gently placed the hands in a small hole, standing them in a upright position as she began to fill the hole with dirt.

NONO! I'm not waiting anymore! I-I want to know what you're planning to do!

"Planning?"

YES.

"You'll see soon, goodness! Don't ask me what we'll be doing, just follow me." She smiled.

NO! DO YOU KNOW WHAT PATH YOU'RE MAKING US GO DOWN TO?!

"Uh, no?" She snickered innocently, twirling the trowel in her hands.

You're going to kill EVERY OBJECT in the city! And then, a-and then-

"And what? That was your plan, you know."

WHAT DO YOU-

"Listen! Just follow what I do, you're going to be just fine!"

That's what you said last time, and the time before, and-

"HUSH! Look..." she patted the freshly dug earth, slowly standing up from the spot she was seated at before. A warm smile grew on her face as her eyes glanced over at the bushes of snapdragons that sprung in the air- hopefully, they would be thriving with life soon, with the help of Pencil's luscious hands, of course!

She looked around, letting her eyes roam freely around the garden. She smiled as she saw Golfball's legs, vines of arum-lilies snaking up the leg. Larkspurs twirled around Teardrop's hand; the blue glowing as a ray of sunlight shone upon it. Roses seemed to dance with the wind...yet...

something felt...missing.

But what could it be..?

"GET OUT!" Bubble screamed, shoving Book out of the van. Ruby watched, nodding in agreement as her eyes began to shine with tears.

Book collapsed onto the ground, grunting in pain as she tried to get back up onto her feet.

"N-No, please.." Book whispered out. "Please..."

"Were you working with her?! WERE YOU?!" Ruby stepped out of the van angrily, stomping towards her.

"No- I WASN'T, RUBY!"

"YOU KNEW! YOU KNEW IT ALL ALONG! YOU KNEW SHE WAS DEAD- THEY WERE ALL DEAD!"

"IT WASN'T ME! THAT WAS FROM PIN'S ROOM!"

"OH, SO YOU WERE WITH HER?!"

"NO, NO I WASN'T!"

As the screaming ensued, Ice Cube sat behind the two, her body trembling.

She was tired of this.

She wanted to do something.

And that something..?

"You're going to kill her, then ME, THEN-"

"I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!"

Ice Cube shoved Ruby out of the way, dashing out of the van as she began to run.

Run.

Run away.

They're calling you-

Run.

Run.

See them.

See...her...

Run.
