Is Love Even Real Anymore?
Pin clenched the soft blanket tightly, as it fluttered in the cool winter breeze. The sky was beginning to darken with storm-like clouds, slowly approaching the city in the distance.
Her eyes were heavy and wet with tears, as she stared down at the pavement below her feet.
She couldn't believe she did that.
It wasn't his fault.
But..why didn't he believe her..
She sniffed, as she trudged back towards her home. But a familiar voice caught her off guard, and quickly made her head pound with rage.
"Golf Ball, SERIOUSLY. LET US GO."
"We're not letting you leave until we know WHY you did it, Pencil."
"SERIOUSLY?! WE AREN'T MURDERERS GOLFBALL! WE ONLY WANTED TO QUESTION HER!"
"And investigate!"
"But that doesn't excuse WHY you TIED HER DOWN IN THE GODDAMN BASEMENT!"
Pin turned around, and saw a small group of objects. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball were leading the Freesmarters towards the lab, Needle following and making sure none of them decided to escape.
"Well, until we hear why, you're staying with us." Golf Ball growled in a low, angry tone. Pencil flinched, and slowly interlocked her hand with Match's, who was following close beside her.
Pin's fists were clenched, and her arms were trembling. She felt her heart slowly begin to break, as she remembered her fingers interlocking with Coiny's.
Oh, How sweet! Look at them, all happy with their significant other! Look! Look at how perfect they're life is! You envy them, don't you.
You took him away from me.
Pin couldn't take it much longer. She darted towards the team, and tackled Pencil down to the ground. A shout of pain echoed through the winter air, as Pin hit her sides. Both of them tumbled around the grass before Pin pinned her down (haha, Pin, pinned) and stared deeply into Pencil's eyes.
Pencil only felt pain. A slight pressure from where Pin was, but a heavy pain from the impact. She opened her eyes, and looked up to see Pin's deathly glare, her eyes suddenly shining with tears.
"You......." Her voice trembled. Pencil suddenly felt fear overwhelm her as she began to struggle from her grip, trying to get her off of her.
"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Pin screamed out angrily, as she slapped Pencil. Pencil let out a quiet whimper, as she felt the harsh sting from Pin's slap.
"YOU TOOK HIM AWAY! YOU FUCKING LIAR!" She slapped Pencil once more, feeling nothing but burning rage in her heart. Everything was blocked out; she couldn't see, she couldn't hear...
The only thing she could feel was rage. And the only thing she could see was the backstabbing a-hole who ruined her life. Hot tears trickled down Pin's cheeks as she repeatedly slapped Pencil, her slaps becoming more harder and harder. Her hands were balling up into fists, as she sobbed angrily.
"I HATE YOU!" Were the only words that came out of Pin's mouth. She repeated them as she continued to beat the light out of Pencil, but quickly felt a pair of hands yank her away. Pin's arms trembled violently as she stared at Pencil, her eyes fixated on her. She continued to growl out menacing threats towards her, as everything slowly began to fade back in.
"Pencil! Pencil, are you okay?!"
"Hold her down! She's gone mad!"
"Not again! Pencil!"
Pin suddenly felt the burning rage in her chest, slowly freeze up and turn into heavy icicles of pain. She didn't know who held her in her arms; but she hugged the pair of arms and began to let out painful sobs and weeps, remembering...
Him.
She felt her legs give in, as she collapsed onto the ground, letting her tears stain the ground below her. The arms stayed wrapped around her, but soon loosened, and embraced her in a more comfortable position. She held a hand to her chest, as her sobs began to quiet down.
Needle looked up towards the duo.
"Take them to the lab; I'll talk with Pin." She reassured the two, and they nodded, leading the girls towards the lab. Pencil held her red, burning cheeks as she weakly turned and looked at Pin, before entering the lab.
Needle turned back, and cautiously removed her arms from Pin. She sat down, and crossed her legs, as she rubbed Pin's back soothingly. She waited patiently, until all she could hear were quiet sniffles and whimpers.
"Pin?" Her soft voice broke the silence. Pin stared at the ground, not bothering to turn and look towards Needle.
"Pin."
"They ruined it."
Needle looked at Pin, tilting her head curiously.
"What?"
"They told Coiny." Pin choked out, letting a few tears roll down her cheeks.
"They told him a lie. Now he..." Her voice trailed off, as she covered her face with her hands, taking shaky gasps and letting out quiet sobs. Needle's eyes widened, as she reached out towards Pin.
"Y...You mean, you and..Woody..?" She stuttered out. Pin slowly nodded as she lifted her face from her hands, her eyes still letting tears pour down her face.
"He...he broke up..." she suddenly collapsed, as she felt her heart break into two. Needle gently put a hand on her back, and rubbed it gently.
"Pin...I'm so sorry..." her gentle voice soothed Pin, as she looked up at her. She suddenly threw her arms around Needle, as she sobbed heavily into her shoulder. Needle, on the other hand, didn't mind; she wrapped her arms around Pin as she let her cry. She continued to rub her back, as she tried to soothe her.
"It's gonna be okay Pin...we're gonna fix this, okay..?" Needle gave her a gentle squeeze. Pin sniffed, as she lifted herself off of Needle, staring into her grey, shimmering eyes. Pin nodded slowly, as Needle gave her a sympathetic smile.
"Here, let's head down to the lab. I could make you some tea if you'd like.." Needle suggested. Pin nodded, as she slowly stood up, still holding the blanket that was covering her. Needle giggled a bit, and led her down the steps into the lab.

After a nice cup of tea, Pin sat in her garden, the blanket giving her warmth. She held it close to her body, as her eyes began to water.
Why couldn't she stop thinking about him.
Why does she feel empty..
Cold...
She shivered, and looked at the plants beside her, letting her tears spill down on the soil, turning some bits to mud. She let her hand brush against the petals of a bush of Lillies of the Valley's, as she began to space out.
What she didn't expect, was to hear footsteps from afar, which were getting louder as they came closer. She shivered, as she clenched her fists, and held the blanket tighter in her arms.
The footsteps stopped as the object stood beside Pin, Pin refusing to look up.
But what made her jump, was when she felt a hand on her shoulder, rubbing it slowly.
"Hi Pin~".
"Why didn't you believe her?!" Golf Ball's voice was filled with dissapointment as she stared at Coiny angrily. Coiny's face looked brim and dark, as he stared at the ground. He mumbled something incoherent, and Golf Ball raised an eyebrow.
"What was that?"
"I didn't know who to believe."
Golf Ball scoffed.
"Are you a MAN?! WHY would you believe the idiots that held her hostage in the first place?!"
"Well what if they were RIGHT?! I don't know who to trust.." Coiny sighed in defeat as he put a hand on his head. Golf Ball rolled her eyes.
"She's gotten worse without you." She stated. Coiny gave her a blank stare, his eyes cloudy with tears.
"I miss her..." was the only thing he could say before he began to cry. Golf Ball looked away, and sighed.
"Listen." She turned towards him.
"Talk with her. Listen to what she has to say. I'm no expert with relationships, but based on my research, communication is key when it comes to your significant other..." she paused.
"Especially when it comes to times like this." She Pat his back with sympathy.
"Talk things out; I'm sure she'll tell you the truth. And if what was said about her is really true..."
She shrugged a bit.
"It's up to you."
Coiny stared at her, a small smile creeping up on his face. Golf Ball gave him a confused stare.
"What?"
"Why do you know so much about this?"
"I-...oh." Golf Ball went quiet, as she quickly looked away.
"It's classified." She grumbled. Coiny leaned in towards her, grinning.
"GB, TB, sittin' in a tree,K-I-S-S-"
"IT IS PLATONIC!" Golf Ball screeched out, a light, pink blush spreading on her face. Coiny snickered as she saw Golf Ball, Who was beginning to touch her face in confusion.
"W-What is this." She mumbled, looking up at Coiny.
"What did you do?!" She felt the warmth grow all over her face. Coiny began to laugh.
"You seriously don't know what blush is?!"
"No, I don't! What is this?! Am I ill?!" She began to panic as she grabbed Coiny, and yanked him to her level.
"Whatever you did to me, you better tell me how I can find a cure." She mumbled angrily. Coiny smirked.
"Do you really want to know what the cure is?"
"YES."
Coiny sighed, and put an arm around her.
"All you need is one Tennis Ball. A scientist, a nerd, a odd voice, yes. A kiss should do, and bam. There's your cure." He winked.
Golf Ball stared at him blankly.
"What's...a kiss."
Coiny stared at her, disbelief in his eyes.
"You seriously don't know what a kiss is?!" He gasped. Golf Ball shrugged.
"I don't know much about what couples do. All I know is how they can maintain a perfectly healthy-"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
The two looked up, startled from the sudden scream that echoed through the city.
"What in the name of putts was THAT?!" Golf Ball looked around.
Coiny looked at her, concern and fear growing in his eyes.
"Pin."
"Shh~ it's okay~" Leafy traced her finger over Pin, who was pinned down by Leafy. She giggled, as she saw her struggling, trying to break free from her grip.
"Oh Pin, haven't you forgotten me?~ Why don't you give me a friendly greeting..." she smirked. Pin stared at her angrily.
"Go fuck yourself, Leafy." She growled.
A sudden stab into her stomach made Pin choke, before letting out a painful grunt. Leafy grinned.
"Wrong answer, Pin."
Pin growled, as she began to cough out droplets of blood. Leafy laughed a bit.
"How does it feel Pin?~"
Pin shook her head, spitting out more blood.
"I-I've...felt..worse." She choked out.
"Oh, really?" Leafy held the knife over her chest, as she slowly began to press it against her skin. Pin felt her heart race, as she shook her head.
"N-No, Wait.." she whimpered out. Leafy cocked her head.
"Oh? What's this?~" she chuckled. Pin shook her head.
"P-Please..." she choked out. Leafy looked at her, before sighing and tossing her onto the ground.
"Alright cherry-blossom. This isn't over." She growled out, as she leaned in towards her. Pin glared at her angrily.
"Tell Firey I say hello, will you please?~" she smirked, as she got up, and began to leave. Pin struggled to get back up, as she reached out towards Leafy.
"N-No..." she mumbled. She grunted, as she lifted herself off of the ground, feeling the blood gush out of her wound.
She couldn't stay out like this, she had to go back.
She picked herself up, and held her side, wincing in pain. Her arm pressed onto the wound, as she clenched her teeth. The pain was unbearable...
How was she going to make it back?
She looked down, and saw the bushes of lilies, blood staining their angelic, white aura.
Pluck one off.
You're gonna need it eventually.
Pin breathed heavily, feeling blood drivel out of her mouth. She let out a guttering yell of pain, as she quickly leaned down and grabbed a fistful of lilies. She began to loose feeling in her stomach; she had to head back. Now.
She trudged back down her secret path, one hand wrapped around her stomach, and the other carrying the lilies.
Everything began to blur out, as Pin stood in the middle of the path, confused about where she should go. Everything seemed to spin, as she felt her heart racing with panic.
Where was she?!
Who was she, why was she doing this..
Why is she here?!
"Rocky!"
A sudden voice made Pin jump. She turned around, and her eyes widened.
"Oh my oxygen, Rocky! You can talk again!" Firey squealed as he pat Rocky's head. Rocky nodded in excitement as he looked up towards the flame.
"Aren't you glad I didn't vomit on you?" His high pitched voice rang in the air. Firey laughed, and put an arm on Rocky's head, resting it there.
"And Would you look at that! It's the fighter!" He raised his arm, and clenched it.
His hand was missing.
Woody shyly trudged on over to the two, giving them a small wave.
His hands were missing.
"Aw, cmon Woody! You were so brave! I can't believe you could fight like that!" Firey's eyes twinkled in amazement. Woody let a shy smile grow on his face, and soon, he began to laugh.
First, it was Woody. And then, Rocky began to giggle, his voice ringing louder and louder. And then, Firey's laugh pitched in, raspy, yet warm. The three continued to laugh, their laughs filling the atmosphere.
I looked around. I have to get out of here, I have to get out of here NOW!
Ooze was dripping down my forehead as I turned my head, frantically trying to search for an exit.
But then it hit me;
Why was it so quiet?
I turned my head, and felt my heart stop.
Firey, Rocky, and Woody, all had their eyes fixated on me. They were pointing...
And they weren't smiling.
