Time

Time watched as Fear processed that little piece of information. Sure, she conceded. She tended to keep to herself, but she could have friends. She just didn't date. It wasn't that she wasn't allowed, she just didn't.

She watched him as he raised his eyes to hers and nod. She knew that look in his eye. It warned her that they will eventually find out, so it would be better to tell them now. She knew that as well, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. It would rip her friends' hearts into two. She couldn't do that to them.

Not "couldn't", wouldn't.

She knew that Fear knew how much she cared about her friends. After all, he was the first one she let into her heart. He was her second in command. He knew that those whom she cared about were the most precious things to her.

He nodded to her in understanding, and she smiled at him gratefully.

They were brought back to the present by said friends.

"OMG Claire," Healie shouted."I didn't know you two knew each other."
"C'mon, Claire," Jee giggled."We also want to talk to the new kid."

Time felt her cheeks burn a bright crimson as Fear looked between her and her friends. He smirked at her blush and talked to Jee, all the while making it obvious that he could see her blush and wasn't going to let her get away with this one this time.

"I DO have a mouth. I can speak for myself," he finally turned to face Jee.
"Yeah," Time muttered to herself. "The trick is to get him to shut up."
He got that crooked smile he always got when he was trying his best not to laugh, but it wasn't working."Fine," he looked down, completely pulling the fake guilt look."I know her."

She watched as her two friends started doing a weird little jig in excitement. Fear looked her in the eyes, tears welling up in his.

He understood why she didn't want to let them go.

Okay, before anyone complains about my "spasmodic" updates, I have exams currently and it's actually a miracle that I'm updating at all.

Don't look at me like that, I shouldn't even be updating, I'm supposed to be studying.

So, ignore my procrastination issues, but this chapter was to explain more about Time's background.
