Chapter 7
//A/N: Because I'm feeling generous today, here you go :p
[Fear's POV]
"Stay calm, dude. Just. Stay. Calm," I muttered to myself. It's simple: Just stay as close to Time as I can for as long as I can. So, why do I feel like I'm walking into the battlefield? I rolled my eyes at the thoughts whirling in my head and opened the door.
The first thought I had was: There are WAY too many people in high school. How am I going to find Time in all of this?
It turns out that I needn't have worried, mainly 'cause the moment I walked in, everything went silent. I stood halfway through the entrance, and that empty corridor was calling my name, but I had to talk to Time, and I could only do it now. I quickly scanned the crowd and found her sitting by two normo's (my term for mortals) and made straight for her.
I was halfway there before I was stopped.
"Hey, newbie! The table you're looking for is over here!" A female voice hollered from my right.
When I turned to face the table, I inwardly flinched. Populars. Greeeaaat. I looked at Time out of the corner of my eye. She subtly shook her head. Evil Populars. Just my luck. I forced a smile onto my face, but it came off as a grimace.
"I actually think I'd rather sit with someone familiar," I said before I could stop myself.
The girl who had shouted to me looked like someone slapped her."What did you just say?"
"Totally dumb and deaf. What a perfect combination," I muttered to myself, though from the look on her face, she had heard it.
I smirked a bit and continued to walk towards Time. When I reached her table, I could practically hear the two normos' jaws hit the floor in shock. I respectfully addressed Time.
"May I sit here?" I asked with a look of pure innocence on my face.
The two normos looked completely floored. Time, on the other hand, was not amused at all. She glared at me for a while, then silently shifted her chair to make some space for me. I smiled slightly, grateful that she hadn't shoved my head into a blender yet, and sat down. Time looked like she had swallowed a bitter pill and motioned between me and the normos.
"Nicholas, these are my friends, Healie," she gestured to the blonde."And this is Jee," she gestured to the brunette.
"Girl, give him a break. He's new, so he probably won't even remember our names for a while."
I raised my eyebrow at Time and she subtly shook her head. So they had no idea that we weren't normals. I raised an eyebrow and smirked at her.
"Claire," I emphasised her mortal name, causing her to subtly flinch at my accusing tone."Are they friends of yours?"
She glared at me and blatantly answered,"Yes."
//A/N: Bet you guys weren't expecting that, were you?
(I'm so evil *preens self*)
Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed it as exams are coming up soon, so this might be my last chapter for a while...
Or I might publish another, you never know.
Please leave all weaponry and armies outside the door. Thank you.
Denograde out ;)
