Gene's P.O.V

I laid in my room watching the ceiling in my thoughts.
Is Y/n okay? Is Cathy okay? When I saw both of them they looked bad...especially Y/n....
A voice interrupts my thoughts.
"Do you wanna go to the hospital with me and Sasha? We're going to sneak into Y/n's room to see her!" Zenix says his tailing wagging.
Sasha laughs, "Zenix we don't have to sneak in anymore. Her dad is letting us see her willingly today. So today is a pass"
"...should I go..." I say sitting up
Zenix looks at Sasha then me, "Uh DUH why wouldn't you?! Y/n missed us! I'm sure she would-"
"No I mean..Yeah I wanna go but...would she even want to see me?" I say putting my hands in my face.
"I mean I'm sure she would." Sasha says sitting next to me and putting her hand on my shoulder, "Look I know she is being a bit cold towards you but...she uh has her reasons...Like her dad!"
I look at her, "You're right...I just hope she doesn't go all beast on me heh."
Zenix pouts, "That's an awful joke."
"You're right. Well I should get ready then..." I say while getting up and going to the bathroom.

Zenix's P.O.V

"Man Is he really that fucking dense?!" I say throwing myself on the bed.
"It's not his fault Zen. Cathy has him wrapped around her finger." Sasha says patting my head.
"Do we really have to hang out with Cathy. I don't like her aura. She's mean." I say pouting
"You're not the only one. Every time we have our "girls night" she always says 'Do you think Gene likes this' or Is bet Gene would LOVE me in this' Plus she always tries to make me see the "bad" side of Y/n." Sasha says petting my ears.
"Well then why do we hang out with her?! She's a big meanie! I don't know why Gene accepted her friendship." I say punching my pillow.
"Honestly I don't know either. She seems to be nice when she's around Gene. Ugh honestly her crush is starting to become obsessive. It's creepy." Sasha says getting up.
"Well maybe Y/n can help! Alpha always knows what to do and-"
"D-Did you just call Y/n...Alpha?.." Sasha says looking at me with a smile.
"N-NO I JUST-"
"Hahaha guess your really a werewolf now Zenny?" Shes says touching my ears.
"Saaaashaaaa! Don't tell Y/n! She'll never let me live it down!" I say snuggling my face into her chest.
"No promises Zenny! Now hurry up and get your stuff. We don't wanna be late" Sasha walls to the bathroom door and knocks in it, "YOU TOO GENE HURRY UP! WE DONT HAVE ALL DAY!"

Later

You're P.O.V

"OH MY GOD HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS!?" I say being beaten in the video game for the millionth time.
"Cause I'm a gaming genius duh." Aaron says with a smug look on his face.
"I'm THIS close to hitting you!" I say growling.
"Hahahaha you're just mad that I keep beating you!" Aaron says sticking his middle finger at me.
"YOU LITTLE-"
"Ms. Lycan?" A nurse says knocking lightly on the door.
"Huh? Uh yes miss?" I say putting my laptop aside.
"There are some people here to see you. They say they're your friends." She says opening the door slightly.
"Oh! Um send them in then!" I say sitting up.
The nurse leaves and comes back a few minutes later.......with Zenix and Sasha.
"Hey guys!" I say
'That's weird....Gene's not with them? They told me he'd be here.'
"What's up Wolf buddy!" Zenix says
"Hey girl! Glad to see you're doing well" Sasha says sitting next to me.
"Yeah! The doctors here are surprisingly really helpful! Honestly it's so much more at home here then at the dorms! So anyways how are you-"
"Where's Gene?" Aaron says standing up.
Sasha and Zenix look at each other. Then back at Aaron.
"Well?..." He says crossing his arms.
"He's...with Cathy..." Zenix says scratching the back of his neck.
'of course he's with her...why wouldn't he be?..."
"I'll be back Y/n." Aaron said getting up and leaving the room.
"Wait Aaron I- never mind he's gone. So anyway how have your classes been going?" I say looking at Zenix and Sasha.
"Great! But there's someone...." Zenix says looking away.
"What do you?-"
"Ugh that werewolf again?" Sasha says in an annoyed tone of voice.
"Huh what werewolf?" I see looking at her.
"There's his werewolf in our class who would not leave Zenix alone! She's asked him to hang out with her alone like on some date! No matter how many times he says no she STILL asks!" Sasha said clenching her fists.
"She's even...stroked my tail once...I told her I that I'm with Sasha but she said that It doesn't matter. I'd be happier with her..." Zenix says pouting.
"What's her name?" I say
"I think it was...Diana?...She's not hard to miss. It's that goth chick with the red streaks in her hair." Sasha says rolling her eyes.
"Hmm maybe if you put your scent on him Sasha, she will learn to back off. I'm sure she won't like the fact that your scent is one Zenix. Hah it would kinda be like you're marking Zenix!" I say laughing
"You're right! Zenix from now on you are wearing MY perfume got it?" Sasha says pointing at Zenix.
"HUH?! But I love my watermelon scented cologne!" He says pouting.
"Do you want this girl to continue bothering you? Anyway is there something wrong with MY perfume, dear?" Sasha says glaring at Zenix.
"NO! NO! NO! NOTHING AT ALL SUGAR! I WOULD BE MORE THEN HAPPY TO SMELL LIKE YOU!" Zenix says waving his hands.
Sasha and I both start laughing.

Gene's P.O.V

"Tell me the truth Cathy." I saw crossing my arms.
"What do you mean, Genie?" She says pouting.
"Don't call me- Look, tell me what really happened. Y/n isn't the type of person to just lash out without reason. I know her and she's not-"
"Well people change Gene." She says playing with her hair.
"She's not like this Cathy. What did you do?" I saw glaring at her.
"Ugh why do you keep defending her?! It's not like she's your girlfriend or something! You broke up! People tend to not talk to their exes anymore ya know." She says crossing her arms.
"She's my friend Cathy. I care about my friends okay! I just don't believe that she just saw you and decided to attack you like you claimed. She doesn't do that unless she has good reason to!" I snap
"WELL SHES YOUR EX AND FOR ANY GIRL THAT IS REASON ENOUGH! I'm telling you she's crazy! Maybe she isn't over you and she's jealous of me! I'm telling you she's like some psycho ex!" Cathy says getting up.
"W-Where are you going?!" I say seeing that she has her shoes on.
"Today is the day I'm discharged! Isn't that why you are here Genie? To make sure I'm safe and sound from your crazy ex!" She says putting her hands on my chest.
I grab her wrists, "No I came to check ip on both of you-"
"GENE GET OVER IT!" She says pulling me close.
"H-Huh?!-"
"SHE DOESN'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE! JUST FORGET ABOUT HER! You have me sweetie pie! And I love you. I've loved you for so long. Please Gene give me a chance. I promise to love and cherish you..." She says leaning into my face.
"Cathy...I-I"
"Ahem."
I quickly look up to see Aaron at the door way.
"You're gross you know that right?" He says. I can feel his glare behind his mask.
"Oh you must be Jenny's boyfriend right???" Cathy says leaning her head on my chest.
"No. I'm not. Gene." He says glaring at me.
I flinch, "H-Hey man!"
"I thought you came here to talk to Y/n. But I clearly see that that's not the case here is it?" He says clenching his fists.
"N-No! I mean! I came to check up on both of them!" I say slightly pushing Cathy off of me.
"Tch. Don't make me regret letting you come visit her. Now hurry. I'm both of you have a lot to talk about." He says turning around, "Oh and Gene."
I hummed.
"Don't even think about blaming her for anything. We both know who's at fault here.Now come follow me. I'll show you to her room." He says slowing walking away.
I gulped, "W-Well I'll see you around Cathy. I have to go now." I say following him.
"Be careful Genie. She might hurt you too. People change Genie. People change." Cathy says waving at me.

Your P.O.V

"You're kidding! Zenix you really did that?!" I say almost dying of laughter.
"ITS NOT MY FAULT! HE WAS LOOKING FOR TROUBLE!" Zenix says putting his fists up.
"YOU REALLY STARTED BARKING AT AN ACTUAL DOG FOR LICKING SASHA?!" I say still laughing.
"I KNOW RIGHT! AND ALL I WAS DOING WAS PETTING THE LITTLE GITL" Sasha said also laughing
"Why must you guys laugh at my misery." Zenix said pouting, his ears flopping.
"Oi, Y/n" I look up to see Aaron poking his head in the room.
"Hm? What is it Aaron?" I say
"You have...certain company." He says walking in the room, Gene walking slowly behind him.
"O-Oh! Hey Gene." I say giving him a small smile.
"Hey puppy..." Gene says smiling.
"Oh! Zenix! I just remembered! I- uh- LEFT SOMETHING IN THE CAR!" Sasha says running around the bed and grabbing Zenix's arm.
"But you don't own a car Sasha." Zenix says tilting his head.
"SHH ZEN! I LEFT SOMETHING SO WE SHOULD GET IT!" Sasha says trying to drag Zenix.
"I think I left something in Sasha's car too. Gotta go." Aaron says helping Sasha drag Zenix.
"BUT SASHA DOESN'T OWN A-"
"SHUT UP ZENIX!!" Sasha and Aaron shout at Zenix.
Gene and I both start laughing. We lock eyes and then it goes silent.
"So...How are you feeling..?" Gene says sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Um...better I guess. The hospital has been taking good care of me and Zenix and Sasha always sneak in and-"
"Oh my Irene what happened to your eye?!" Gene says crawling next to me and placing a hand on my left cheek.
I feel my cheeks burn up, "O-Oh! Well, Cathy ended up kinda slicing up my face a bit...Thank Irene my eye didn't really take much da...mage..."
I then realize Gene is looking away from me and his hand is no longer on my face.
"W-Whats wrong..." I say leaning a bit closer.
"Cathy told me...that she...loved me. Like love loves me..." Gene says still looking down.
"S-She...did?..." I say feeling both angry and sad, "W-What did you say?..."
"I...didn't say anything...cause to be honest...I don't know if I do love her...." Gene says looking at me.
"But...do you at least...like...her?" I say looking away.
"I'm not sure...m-maybe..maybe not." Gene mumbles.
It then gets quiet.
"Y/n.....I'm not sure that I like her because..." Gene then grabbed my face and makes me look at him, "I love you, Y/n. I've loved you for the longest time. Even after 3 long years, I still love you...because you're perfect...you're everything I ever wanted. I want you- No. I need you back Y/n."
"G-Gene..." My vision starts to get blurry as I feel tears forming in my eyes.
"Is it okay if I....kiss you...just like old times Y/n...?" Gene says slowly leaning in.
"I....I'd like that..." I say closing my eyes, but before our lips could touch....someone's voice intervenes.
"You...still love...her?"
Gene and I both look at the door to see....Cathy....
