Chapter 22

October 21st

The White House

Jack spent his day at the Oval. "Hey big brother!" Bobby squeaked, as his older brother entered his office. Jack laughed. "Not today Bobby. I've got a headache" Jack sighed, falling into his chair. Bobby laughed before taking a seat on the sofa.

After ungoing important business, Bobby and Jack discussed the final campaign plans and Election Night. "Listen, you coming up to the Cape for Election Night?" Bobby asked, checking his notes. Jack shook his head. "Sorry brother but me, Jackie and the kids are going up to Oak Springs" Jack explained. Bobby snorted.

"What's so funny?" Jack asked, slightly smiling.

"You need to get the name of that place changed. It sounds like a place where horses are the only residents" Bobby explained, giggling like a little girl. Jack snorted. "Well, you've seen it. It's pretty impressive" Jack commented on the wonderful new residence. Bobby nodded. "Why don't you just rename it?" Bobby suggested.

Jack wondered. What would he call it? "Nah" Jack replied, casually. Bobby shrugged his shoulders. "What about Mellon Farm? After those folks you bought it from?" Bobby suggested. Jack sighed. "No Bobby. Why should we?" Jack asked.

"Please" Bobby pleaded. Jack stood up. "No!" He shouted. "Mellon Farm sounds like the name of a fruit plantation!" Jack yelled jokingly. The brothers laughed before Jack headed upstairs.

Jackie was there to greet him. "How was your day?" Jackie asked. Since she had told Jack and Lee, she was back to her normal self. "Well Bobby was here. How do you think it went?" Jack joked. Jackie laughed as she helped him with his suit's jacket and his back brace.

Deep down they both knew, Jack and Bobby were best of friends.
