Chapter 9

“Today we will visit the Army camp to thank Army men who saved Shreyas” Sarita spoke out to Sanyukta.

“But Ma'am what is the need to visit an Army camp, it's a trip for enjoyment” Sanyukta spoke out quickly.

“Kids will learn something while visiting the camp, now make excuses get ready we are going. Secondly, we will get some quality pictures for our school magazine” Sarita stated and left a disappointed Sanyukta.

“I am not feeling well, you all can go to that place” Sanyukta made another excuse after an hour.

“Sanyukta, you have to come. I can't so many students alone” Sarita glared Sanyukta shutting her up.

“Wow, these Army men are looking so great!” Shreyas exclaimed.

“OMG! Look at that Army man, isn't he looking too hot in that uniform” Two high school girls giggled looking at Randhir.

“Girls, stop ogling him” Sanyukta snapped back.

“Madamji Cheetah is looking spectacular, Do you want a husband like him?” Shreyas spoke out.

“No, I don't want anyone. Shut up Sheryas and look at those statues” Sanyukta spoke out with annoyance.

“Yeah, you will make us watch that stupid statue and ogle at him alone” Shreyas said in a mockery.

Sanyukta gritted her teeth, she looked in the opposite direction.

“Sanyukta why are looking at trash can?” Sarita asked confused.

“Nothing Ma'am, I am getting bored” Sanyukta lied.

“Let's talk to Cheetah, he is so cool” Shreyas took others along with him.

“What's your inspiration to be in Army, sir?” A curious student asked Randhir.

“Traitor just leave me alone!” Sanyukta exclaimed.

“Sanyukta try to understand my situation” Randhir pleaded with teary eyes.

“You ruined everything! People are calling me wife of a traitor. Before they start calling me an anti-nationalist, just leave my life!” Sanyukta burst into tears.

“But Sanyukta... How will I live without you?” Randhir spoke out with a sore throat.

“Think me as a dead woman, Okay Randhir Singh Shekhawat” Sanyukta spoke out removing her wedding ring.

“Give me a chance, I will prove my patriotism to the country” Randhir spoke again.

“I prefer not to see your face again!” Sanyukta exclaimed, throwing a ceramic flower pot into pieces just like Randhir's heart broken into pieces.

“Cheetah what happened, reply us?” Sheryas spoke, waving his hand in front of Randhir's eyes.

“I wanted to prove my patriotism” Randhir spoke out blankly.

“Huh… Patriotism is not a thing to prove to anyone, it's a instinct of a human” A girl spoke out.

“Young lady…circumstances make you prove everything right from loyalty to patriotism” Randhir replied, looking Sanyukta straight in her eyes.

Randhir's words pricked Sanyukta like daggers, she broke the eye contact with Randhir and pretended to be checking her mobile.

When she couldn't handle the intensity of Randhir's presence,Sanyukta made her way towards the empty mini bus.

Sanyukta gasped for air as she sat at the back seat of the bus. She felt sitting on the verge of a panic attack. She tried to call Kaustuki, but her hands trembled badly.

“Drink this water”A gentle voice spoke out.

Sanyukta gulped the water and closed her eyes.

“Is it the matter of Heart?” Sarita spoke out as Sanyukta composed herself.

“How did you know that?” Sanyukta questioned.

“Experience dear…experiences of life make you understand everything. It's like you read faces of the younger generation to you” Sarita spoke out with a chuckle.

“Did you ever fell in love?” Sanyukta asked immediately.

“Yeah, I fell in love as well. What if I am not a millennial? Our generation too had love stories” Sarita spoke cheerfully.

“Did you marry the man you loved?” Sanyukta spoke out.

“He lived in my neighborhood, he didn't have a proper earning. When he finally became financially capable, I was expecting my second child” Sarita spoke as if she was narrating a Cinderella story.

“What! You lost the man whom you loved? How did you cope up with it?” Sanyukta spoke with shock

“I realized our love wasn't strong enough to challenge barriers put forward. We were too timid to rebel for our love, Not every lover is brave enough to end in marrying the same person whom he loved” Sarita reasoned.

“What if someone loses the lover afterwards?” Sanyukta asked hesitantly.

“You mean break up…haha yeah young generation called them break-ups. Look if your love was pure and strong, you won't be able to forget the lover throughout your lifetime but if your love wasn't pure, you will forget him in seconds” Sarita spoke wisely and went away.

Sanyukta sat there trying to sink in whatever Sarita spoke out to her.

What will happen next? It's a simple break up story, or will we witness something interesting? Stay tuned to know more.
