Chapter 14
"Sanyukta come home for Diwali" Anjali pleaded on call.
"Maa, I took off of a week for Kaustuki's wedding. Now I can't take more leave" Sanyukta spoke out a perfect excuse.
"Your school is closed for 10 days Diwali break, don't lie" Anjali smirked through mobile phone.
"Maa, I have some extra work too. Please don't force me" Sanyukta scowled.
"Okay don't talk to me anymore" Anjali faked anger.
"Maa...please understand.Papa hates me. What will I do if you won't talk to me?" Sanyukta spoke out, breaking down into tears.
"Relax, I was joking" Anjali spoke out immediately.
"Maa, it's a joke for you but nightmare for me" Sanyukta cried.
"This is the reason we want you to get remarried. Life is unpredictable, how long will your Papa and I live to support you" Anjali reasoned.
"The way I have spent 3 years similarly I will spend rest of my life" Sanyukta declared and disconnected the call.

"Anjali I told you, this girl will ruin her life" Kishor Aggarwal thundered.
"Sanyukta, Why did you leave Randhir? You should have given him a second chance!" Anjali scolded Sanyukta.
"Maa, he cheated ISRO. Everything is on stack. Nobody will offer us a job in engineering field after this mishap" Sanyukta replied shedding tears.

"Sanyukta are you alright?" Sarita Devi inquired as she noticed Sanyukta's foul mood.
"I am fine" Sanyukta repeated this tagline of last 3 years just like a parrot.
"You are not" Sarita Devi pointed out.
"It does not matter how I feel, nobody cares about it" Sanyukta replied.
"I care for you, Sanyukta" Sarita Devi spoke out with affection.
Sanyukta saw a reflection of her mother in Sari Devi, she instantly hugged Sarita, the latter reciprocated with love, caressing Sanyukta's head lovingly.
"Dine with me tonight" Sarita spoke out.

"Randhir how the heck this happened?" Parth blurted out worriedly.
"Parth I don't know. Buddy seriously I don't know how the rocket malfunctioned" Randhir spoke out emotionally.
"Yeah... I saw the news. They are blaming you for the failure of the space mission. How is Sanyukta?" Parth asked.
"She is mad at me. Cheif of ISRO threw us out with grave insult. Sanyukta left the house, I am screwed. " Randhir now cracked up on the phone.

"Mom try to understand it's not my fault. I didn't do it on purpose" Randhir spoke out to his mother Renuka.
"You have brought shame to the family. Dissapointed me and Sanyukta as well.Better rectify anyhow" Renuka spoke on a phone call.
"How can rectify now?" Randhir spoke clutching his hair.
"Prove your Patriotism" Renuka remarked.
"Yes, I will prove it,Mom" Randhir's eyes burned with this resolution.

" Sanyukta eat this as well" Sarita spoke, pouring a nice amount of curry on Sanyukta's plate.
"Ma'am I am already full, You made me eat so much tonight. You made delicious food. My stomach will explode now"Sanyukta pouted with a smile while Sarita laughed with her antics.
"Let us sit on the terrace" Sarita suggested.
The stars beamed brightly like pearls spread across the black sky. The moon radiated happily. A cool breeze flowed, making the night calmer than usual.
"Where do your kids live?" Sanyukta spoke out to Sarita.
"My son works in US, his job is hectic. My daughter died along with her unborn 2 years ago while giving birth to her first baby" Sarita spoke out.
"I am so sorry about your Daughter" Sanyukta spoke out sadly.
"It's alright. She must be resting now. Exploring stars with her father. Definately she is at a better place" Sarita looked up to the stars, searching her loved ones in the gleaming galaxies far away. Her wrinkled face reflecting emotions of motherhood.
"Losing her would have been tough for you" Sanyukta spoke again, her eyes searched for something among the stars.
"Yes, there were nights and days of helpless. Then lord filled my heart with patience" Sarita responded.
"How did you found closure?" Sanyukta spoke out with astonishment.
"Time heals everything but on one condition if you let go of the pain" Sarita spoke out wisely.
"My wounds are not healing. I feel trapped" Sanyukta spoke out with tears.
"That means you have not found your closure yet. Try to join dots to find a closure, introspect everything that happened in the past" Sarita advised.
What will Sanyukta do now? Will she move on? Can she let go of her misery? Randhir too suffered, but he chose not to give up, will it land him in peace or trouble? Many questions that only time will reveal. Stay tuned to the Story.
