The Lamp's Surprise
I was at home, drinking tea, when the doorbell rang. My mother wasn't home so I was the only one in the house. Does she have any guests today? I asked in my head. I peeped through the keyhole.
Long, red hair, beautiful green eyes, it was Kris. I opened the door and let her in. She was holding a paper bag.
"Hey Scar!" She greeted and I strained a smile. "How are you?" She asked. I shrugged and sat back down onto the couch. "I just came here to for you this," she took out a cup of yoghurt from the paper bag and handed it to me. "Thanks." I smiled and placed it onto the table. "Well, I gotta go for tuition! Bye!" She then walked out of the door and I sighed.
Should've brought her a cup of water. I thought and looked at the frozen yoghurt she brought for me. I took it and put it into the freezer.
I felt tired so I walked into my room and closed the door. Collapsing onto the bed, I sighed deeply. Soon, I let sleep overcome me.

I woke up to the sound of what I thought was fire crackling. I jumped up and screamed before opening my eyes. Weird. There's no fire in my room... I thought and looked around.
I wanted to grab my phone that was on my bedside table but I noticed something that made me scream at the top of my lungs.
My precious lava lamp was broken! I screamed in anger. I suspected that there was an intruder that tried to take stuff from my room and accidentally knock down the lamp while doing so but that didn't really make sense. If the glass broke, why didn't I wake up from the noise? Maybe I was really knocked out.
Suddenly, a loud bang came from my bathroom. I jumped and whipped my head around at the loud noise. "What?" I asked myself quietly. Maybe the intruder was still here! I quickly grabbed my baseball bat that I had bought for Halloween last year to dress up as Harley Quinn and walked slowly towards the bathroom.
The door was slightly opened so I pushed it and swung the bat. Hard. But I hit the wall instead. My eyes were closed but when I opened it, I gasped in surprise.
Standing right in front of me was a tiny orange blob thing. The head seemed to be floating above its body. It was really cute, but I had never seen it before so I yelped and backed away.
"Hey! What was that for?" it yelled.
