Ronin Pov.

It was dark for much longer this time. I floated in nothingness. Or maybe I was falling, I don't know. All I know is that this time, it was cold. Very cold. I was shivering ever since I got here. Now, I don't mind the cold at all. Staying out in a blizzard should prove that, but it was unbearable here. It felt like I was dumped in a bath of liquid nitrogen. I tried to warm myself up by curling into a ball and using my tails but nothing worked. I was stuck here, freezing and floating in nothing. Until I was shocked awake.

Me: Gah!! What the hell!!

My ears rang as I sat up straight, instantly being pushed back down by the nurse. Actually. There were multiple nurses, and doctors.

Me: What the hell is going on?

They were scrambling around grabbing just about everything in the room. I looked down to my arm and saw small needles and pipes stuck into it. So I grabbed them. And yanked them out.

Doctor: WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!!??!!??

He screamed, basically in my ear, after I took them out.

Me: I'm fine, I don't need them.

Doctor: YOURE FINE?! YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A PULSE!!!

He pointed to the monitor next to me and I realized what the ringing was. It was the monitor screeching as it showed my pulse had stopped.

Me: Huh, thats weird.

He kept screaming at me but I ignored him, checking my wrists to find a pulse. And guess what I found.

Doctor: YOU SHOULD BE DEAD BY NOW!!!

I grabbed his hand and made him feel my wrist for a second. His arm went slack and he looked extremely relieved. As well as embarrassed a couple moments later.

Me: God, first its the tazers now its god damn defibrillator, what next? A powerline?!

All the nurses looked confused and scared as the heart monitor kept its no pulse screech. So I went over and hit the top of it. It fixed and showed my heartbeat as it was supposed to. My face a look of disappointment as I looked at the nurses and doctors in my room.

Me: This is the type equipment you use?

Just as suddenly as I was shocked awake, the door burst open.

???: Where is he!?!?

I saw Kass with two nurses trying to hold her back and losing.

Me: Darling!!

I pushed past every nurse and doctor in the room and put her into our tightest embrace yet. I began to purr as a tail popped out and began to wag uncontrollably.

Me: I missed you so much darling, I was so cold.

Kass: I missed you too darling.

I picked her up in a bear hug and brought her over to the bed before putting us under the sheets. I started cuddling her rather aggressively and practically snuggling into her like a lovesick puppy.

Kass: Darling there are people.

Me: I don't care.

She giggled and ran her hands through my hair, being careful to avoid my ears.

Doctor: Mr. O'Brian we need to run a couple of tests before we can be sure that you are in a stable state.

Me: Ok.

I said but didn't make a single move besides my tail still wagging back and forth.

Doctor: You need to come with us so that we can do the tests.

Me: That ain't happening.

Kass: Darling.

She said like a parent would when trying to get the truth out of their child.

Me: No! I want cuddles. I was cold, and you're always warm. You make my heart go fast.

I said pointing to the monitor which now displayed I had a heartrate of around 140 beats to minute.

Doctor: THAT SHOULD MEAN YOUR'RE HAVING A HEART ATTACK!!

I rolled my eyes and separated from Kass and everyone watched as my heartrate slowed down tremendously. I didn't watch since I was now freezing cold again. I whimpered as it was becoming unbearable.

Me: Cold.

I whined before latching back onto Kass, warming up as well as my heartrate skyrocketing again.

Doctor: What are you?

He said in utter confusion.

Me: I don't know too be honest.

I said before straddling Kass again as I purred, tail wagging. The doctors and nurses just looked at me like I was a freak of nature and slowly left the room.

Me: Darling.

Kass: Mhm?

Me: Why are we here? In the hospital.

She went flush red and looked away from me.

Kass: I accidentally made you go into heat.

She whispered.

Me: Go into heat? But thats only during winter.

I had done some research on, Kemiho's or fox-humans, as we're known, and we only go into heat during the winter.

Kass: The doctors said it was because of over stimulation.

I went quiet for a moment listening to her breathing and heart as I laid my head on her chest.

Me: D-did. Did I do something to you?

I said praying to any deity I knew of that the answer was no.

Kass: You weren't able to. You tried to put a hand under my skirt but stopped yourself and Coach tackled you off of me after. You tried to get to me but blacked out before you could.

I sighed very loudly when she explained it and I was so glad I didn't do anything.

Me: I'm glad nothing happened.

I looked up at her and she turned her head away.

Kass: *mumble*

Me: Hmm? What did you say darling?

I asked curious as to what she said.

Kass: N-Nothing.

She yelped as a blush grew across her cheeks

Me: We both know thats not true darling.

I jabbed her sides with my finger, making her yelp again.

Me: So tell me before I tickle you to death.

Kass: Y-You wouldn't.

I proceeded to give her a five second sample to prove my point.

Me: Oh, I definitely would darling. Now tell me what you said.

Her blush grew to he rest of her face and even her ears as she refused to meet my eyes.

Kass: I said I would been fi-

She started to mumble again and I tickled her for 30 seconds this time as punishment.

Me: No mumbling darling.

Kass: I said I would've been fine with it alright!!

My face went tomatoes red near instantly and I was flustered. So I decided to do what was already on my mind. I tickled her.

Me: WHY ARE YOU SUCH A PERVERT!!

She tried to rebuttle but couldn't as she could barely breathe.

Me: PERVERT PERVERT PEVERT!!

I stopped and turned around before crossing my arms and huffing. It was only a couple of moments later that I latched back to her side because I was too cold. She laughed a bit but went back to catching her breath.

Kass: Its ok darling. I would never do that without permission.

I looked up at her and raised an eyebrow.

Me: Darling you already did that.

Her face flashed with hurt as she remembered that day and its consequences.

Kass: I'm sorry I did that hone-

I pecked her lips to stop her.

Me: I already forgave you. Just don't do it again. Now, quiet. I wanna sleep.

She sighed into the op of my head and caused me to whimper a little as it brushed against my ears.

Me: H-Hey, be careful. They're sensitive.

She raised her eyes and tried to grab at my ears but since made them hide before she could grip them.

Me: No more. I wanna sleep.

I pinned her down to the bed put part of my body onto hers, my head on her chest. The slow rhythm of her heartbeat compared to the highly accelerated beat of mine. They clashed and hers won as mine began to slow down. The screech of the monitor next to us slowly became calmer and calmer as I got closer to dreaming. I looked up to Kass and met her jade green eyes which always put me in a trance and pecked her lips again before I slept on her chest.

Her heartbeat becoming a lot faster.
