Ronin Pov

Me: Are you sure you can watch over them?

Ms. Adler: Of course I can. I raised two differently aged children Ronin! I am sure I can handle these littles muffins.

Ember: Hey!

Luna: We are not little!

We all chuckled.

Me: Of course you're not kids, its just a little tease.

Luna: Its not funny.

Ember: Yeah, it isn't.

Me: I know girls, but grandma didn't mean it ok?

Ember: Ok.

Luna nodded along with Ember as I sat down on the floor before hugging them.

Me: We'll be back soon.

Ember/Luna: Ok papa.

They kissed and licked both my cheeks after we let go of the hug. Kass knelt down as well but they only hugged and kissed her cheeks. We both stood up and turned to walk out the door. It had been 4 days since our first family bath. Whilst I can't say I am exactly comfortable being in those baths, I'm getting used to it.

Me: Thank you again for taking care of the girls Ms. Adler.

Ms. Adler: Its mom.

Me: Yeah, yeah, welp times a tickin', gotta go! Love you!

I said before sweeping Kass off the floor and running out to the car. A mad Ms. Alder is a scary Ms. Adler.

Kass: You know you don't have to carry me everywhere right?

She said, a light tint of pink draping her cheeks.

Me: I know, but its cute to see your blush and I know you like it.

The tint turned to a splatter as it very quickly spread to the rest of her face. I laughed a little as she scooted closer to my body.

Me: Dont get too comfortable, we're almost at the car.

She huffed and stopped scooting closer but that didn't rid her of her blush. Soon, we got to the car and I put her down, seating her inside.

Me: Alright, let's hope this day goes by well.

I said before revving the car up, reversing out of the driveway and driving towards the school.

Whilst Kass aggressively held my hand.

We had just pulled into the school parking lott and I turned pulled the keys out of the ignition and hesitated walking out.

Me: I really don't wanna go. Do we really have to?

Kass: Unless you wanna see my mom angry, yes.

I did not want to see that any day during my life.

Kass: Darling, it won't be that bad. We just have to go to class, listen to the teachers, have breaks where we can see each other, and then go home.

Me: You make it sound so simple.

Kass: Because it is simple. You don't have to give them any sort of attention.

Me: Yeah, lord knows I already give you girls too much of it.

She wanted to punch me but stopped herself, resorting to tightening her grip on my hand.

Kass: Thats really mean.

Me: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Kass: Hmph, that's not enough. How about a hug?

I rolled my eyes but eagerly obliged giving her a very tight hug.

Me: Alright, let's go get this over with.

We both got out of he car and walked to the front desk together, continuing our aggressive hand holding.

Me: M'lady.

I said before opening the door with a small bow.

Kass: Oh shut up and just hold my hand already.

I smiled at her and quickly grabbed her hand, intertwined fingers.

???: Such raw love. Hard to see nowadays.

We quickly separated and started blushing as we turned to see who had spoken. It was none other than Mrs. Aguilar, the office lady.

Mrs. Aguilar: Oh, sorry did I interrupt?

We both shook our heads before naturally scooting towards each other before grabbing each other's hand again. Mrs. Aguilar smiled again as we blushed harder but didn't let go this time.

Mrs. Aguilar: Oh, Kassandra, you're schedule changed. Let me get it for you.

She went to the printer that was down the small hall as I was abit puzzled.

Me: You had a schedule change? Why?

Kass: W-well i-ts because -

Mrs. Aguilar: She chose to have choir this semester and had to change the entirety of her schedule. But its not all bad, you two are now in all of the same classes.

I looked towards Kass and pulled her into a spine crushing hug, nearly suffocating her.

Me: Thats amazing! Now I can hear you sing!

Kass: I already regret this.

She whispered and I pouted at her as she laughed at my dumb attempt to guilt trip her.

Kass: I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I get to sleep with you next to me every class, how could I not love that.

I looked at her with a, "really?," type of face as both Mrs. Aguilar and Kass laughed.

Me: No you're not, I ain't gonna let you.

Kass: Oh really, I know you don't have the heart to wake me up.

Me: You're mom don't.

She shut up real quick after that.

Me: Well it was nice talking Mrs. Aguilar, but we better get going to P.E. now. Have a good day.

Mrs. Aguilar: A good day to you too! And try not to be very lovey dovey all the time.

We blushed a little but were getting used to Mrs. Aguilar's teasing, as it was not the first time she had done this. I opened the door to the outside cafeteria area and it was a good idea to come early, only a few people were here.

Me: We should probably head to P.E. then.

Kass: Why so early?

Me: So that we don't have to see anyone, and they don't see us.

Kass: I thought we were here to get it over with?

Me: Well we will probably be completely alone in there too but I guess not.

She instantly perked up and started dragging me off.

Kass: Why didn't you mention that then? Come on let's go!

Me: Do you even know where you're going?

She stopped suddenly, nearly dropping me to the ground.

Kass: Uh, yes?

Me: Ugh, why are you so dumb?

I said playfully.

Kass: Hey! That hurts!

Me: You know I didn't mean it. Now let's get going. You're the one that's wants us to be alone in that room so much.

She gained a small blush as we walked side by side, arms, hands, and fingers intertwined. She is weirdly bipolar sometimes. It was kinda freaky to see the halls of this school near empty since I never came this early before. Either way, we soon got to the classroom and found Coach inside the room.

Coach: Hey how's my top athlete doing? Its good to see you again.

He said putting down his book and taking off his reading glasses.

Me: I've been doing well, although I did miss a couple workouts here and there.

Coach: Oh thats not good, you gotta keep a schedule. Keep those gains up!

Me: I know Coach, I doubled the next workouts to make up for the ones I missed.

Coach: Thats more like it!

After that small conversation Coach finally seemed to notice Kass, as she shuffled awkwardly during our conversation.

Coach: And who is this?

Me: Oh, this is Kassandra, she changed schedule and will be in this class for the rest of the semester I believe.

Coach: Thats great! I get another rook that I can work to death.

Kass got a bit spooked as she moved to hide behind my back, only peeking her head out. Coach and I both laughed.

Me: C'mon Kass, weren't you the one that wanted to come here SO quickly?

Kass: N-no, I-I d-didnt s-ay a-nything l-like that.

It was adorable to see the quiet and shy side of her that I hadn't seen in so long.

Me: Yeah, sure. Well, how about we sit down.

Coach: Still hogging the corner?

Me: You know it! Although I don't expect to be left alone nowadays since she has the exact same class schedule as I do.

Coach: How is that bad? All the teachers ever talked about was how the only time you talked was when you were forced to.

Me: Cause what was the point? People suck, especially most highschoolers. Also, you don't know her, she can be annoying at time-

I was slapped across the face, although it was rather soft. I looked at Kass, her adorable as ever, flustered and blushing quite brightly before looking back to Coach and saying.

Me: Point proven.

Kass huffed and puffed before stomping towards the corner of the room, leaving Coach and I by the door.

Coach: I assume she does that often?

Me: More than often. Welp, I'll leave you here. I have to deal with the child.

Kass: I CAN HEAR YOU YOU KNOW!!!

She said, lifting her head from the desk before slamming it back down into her arms.

Coach: Yeah, I'll leave that to you.

Me: Afraid?

Coach: Possibly.

We laughed a little before he started towards his desk, and I towards Kass. I stood behind her, leaning over and wrapping her in a hug. She shrugged me off, which surprised me a lot. She usually always hugged back or just let me hug her. I screwed up big time.

Me: Kass?

I poked her shoulder. No response.

Me: Love?

I poked her cheek. She buried her face deeper into her arms.

Me: Darling?

I sat down in the seat next to her and put my arm around her, trying to undo her arms. I cracked them open and could see her mouth but nothing more.

Me: Darling, can you talk to me? Please?

I saw her mouth open a tiny bit, as if she were going to talk but nothing came out and it soon closed.

Me: Sugar?

Nothing again.

Me: I'm sorry hun, I know what I said was wrong. I shouldn't have said that and I see how hurtful it is now. I'm sorry.

I saw her purse her lips for a second before she opened her arms enough for me to see her eyes. They were tearful but hadn't yet fallen.

Me: Baby please talk to me? You know how much I hate it when people are mad at me.

Kass: I'm not mad.

She whispered through her now closed arms.

Kass: Its just that it hurts to hear you say that.

She tightened her arms more completely sealing herself inside.

Me: Is there anything I can do to make you forgive me? I will do anything. I don't was you be hurt.

She untightened herself a little before saying.

Kass: Sit on the floor.

I was confused but moved the chair I was sitting on backwards and sat on the floor.

Me: Ok.

She got out of her chair and moved to sit on my lap, and I grabbed her by the hips, guiding her down.

Kass: Tails.

Me: All?

Kass: All.

I popped all of my tails out and encased us in a ball of fluff hugging them tightly around her sides but giving her space in the front.

Kass: Hug.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and hunched over to hug her tight enough as to not suffocate her.

Me: I'm sorry Kass.

Kass: No, call me darling. For the rest of the day.

Me: Wh-what?

I said gaining myself quite the blush.

Kass: You heard me.

Me: B-but Kas-

Kass: Hmm? Who's Kass?

I took in a shaky breath.

Me: D-darling.

She jumped a little when I said it and leaned a bit further back into my arms.

Kass: B-better. But you're still not forgiven. Not yet.

We just sat there for God knows how long before I asked very shakily and hesitantly.

Me: W-would doing IT make you forgive me?

She rotated her entire body to face me but she didn't look happy.

Kass: No mister we are not doing that. Don't you dare think that doing that would make me happy if you don't even wanna do it yourself. Understand?

I looked her in the eyes and saw she was genuinely furious that I had even offered such a thing.

Me: Kass ca-

Kass: Darling.

She said flatly.

Me: D-darling. Can you close your eyes?

Kass: I thought you said, "You would do anything?"

Me: Darling, please?

She huffed but closed her eyes either way.  I took a shallow breath before kissing her on the lips. Sure, it was really only a peck, but we hadn't done that for almost a week. At least, without me being comfortable with it. She went wide eyed after realizing what I did.

Me: I'm sorry darling.

I pulled her back into a hug and rest head onto her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around me as well, tightly embracing me as well.

Kass: Are you sure?

Me: Darling, of course I'm sure. Seeing how you didn't want to do it because you knew I didn't want to.

We sat in a small silence 'till she asked.

Kass: One more?

Me: Of course darling, just, no tongue yet. Only lips.

We separated from the hug as we kissed each other again. It felt alleviating to do this again. After what felt so long.

Me: Do you forgive me now darling?

Kass: Yes I do. Just please don't do that again.

Me: Of course, if I ever go to far just tell me, or slap me. Whichever seems better.

Kass: A-also, you c-can stop c-alling me th-at.

Me: I don't think I will.

I leaned into her ear and whispered.

Me: Darling~

She cooed a small bit before pushing me away. I laughed a bit before finally releasing the small cocoon of fur we were in and leaving only a single tail out. The moment I did that though we heard a scream.

???: Oh my god!! YOU'RE RONIN O'BRIAN!!!

Kass and I looked at each other before saying a single thing.

Fuck.
