After the police had taken our statements and thrown Arnold into the back of a car, they were awkwardly sitting in their living room. Ember and Luna seemed unaffected though, probably they were playing with Ronin's tails.

Mrs. Adler: My daughter is dating a billionaire?!

She blurted out so suddenly that it caused everyone to jump from surprise.

Ronin: Yeah?

He dragged out the word.

Mrs. Adler: Im so sorry about what happened earlier! If I had known I would've made a better dinner and cleaned up a little bit better and-

She was stoped when Ronin put his hand up to silence her.

Ronin: And thats where I'm gonna stop you. Listen, I really don't care about that. The food was amazing, the house is kept cleaner than I keep my room, and stop acting like I'm above you. You're older than me byyyyyyyy. . .

He started to analyze her intently.

Me: You look less than 25 years old but that brings up some odd questions.

She blushed and he assumed that he was far off. Kass tapped his shoulder.

Kassandra: She's 35.

Ronin: Ah, well that just proves my point further. You're 20 years older than me and raised an amazing daughter.

Mrs. Adler: But you're doing the same with 2 girls at a younger age.

He raised his finger and hinged his mouth open to rebuttle but lowered it after nothing came out.

Ronin: Good point. But what I'm saying, is that I don't want you to treat me differently. Just treat me like you would if I was any other person dating you're daughter.

Mrs. Adler: Ok, and, thank you for doing that. Protecting us I mean. But jt has its repercussion. You know what I mean Kass.

She nodded glumly and left into the house.

Mrs. Adler: Ronin, this isn't our house, it belongs to Arnold, and once he comes back he'll kick us out. So you might not see Kassandra at school for a while.

Ronin's face went gloomy before lighting up with an idea.

Ronin: How about you two live in my home, until you can pick yourself up?

She was extremely suprised by this offer.

Mrs. Adler: W-we couldn't possibly do that, it would be too kuch of a hassle for yo-

Ronin: Mrs. Adler what did I say about treating me differently? It's fine. The house is big enough to hold 15 people, space is not a problem. This will let you focus on Kass and yourself without having to worry about much else.

Mrs. Adler: B-

Ronin: It is a simple yes or no question Mrs. Adler. If you don't want to live in my home, I can arrange a different living situation that I won't allow you to refuse.

She thought long and hard before replying.

Mrs. Adler: If my daughter is OK with it then yes.

Kassandra: Of course I am, its better than living out of a car and way better than that man. Also-

She rushed towards Ronin and pinned him on the couch.

Kassandra: It only means I can be closer with him.

On the outside he was composed but internally he thought.

Maybe this wasn't the best idea.
