Ronin POV

I was walking into the bathroom and went to take a leak. Put up the toilet seat, cause I'm not a caveman, and finished. I flushed it and went to the sink to wash my face. Tap on, I cupped my hands and let the cold water build before splashing my face and looking into the mirror. Ears?!

I jolted awake and let out a scream, but I wasn't the only one. Someone in front of me did as well.

Kass: Ronin, are you ok?

Me: Huh, oh, yeah. I'm good.

That's when she got serious.

Kass: Good, now why did you leave late at night and who was that, "honey," you were talking to?

Is what she said. She was trying to interrogate me, before the door I was sleeping on opened.

Ember/Luna: Dad, are you ok?!

They looked at me and then looked at Kass before taking their claws out.

Ember: No one hurts papa.

They were going to run at Kass before I grabbed both of their arms, restraining them.

Me: Kids, I'm fine. Just a bad dream. She came out here to check on me.

Luna seemed to put two and two together because she then asked me.

Luna: Were you sleeping here?

I sheepishly smiled.

Me: Maybe?

They karate chopped my head before screaming.

Both: Dad!

They were about to reprimand me before Kass cleared her throat.

Kass: Explain.

Me: *sigh* Kids, go have a shower, change, and unpack. I'll be back after explaining. Hopefully.

They nodded wearily and still eyed Kass. I got up and took Kass back to our room, and after closing the door, she got serious again.

Kass: Who are they?

Me: Long or short story?

Kass: Long.

I proceeded to tell her the entire story again, leaving out the blood and broken glass part from New Years.

Kass: So, they aren't biologically yours?

Me: No, but that doesn't make me think of them less.

Kass: Is that who you were talking to last night?

Me: Yeah, they said they broke he microwave. That was bad since I precooked food for them to eat, and they now had no way to eat anything.

Kass: Oh.

Me: They hadn't eaten since two days ago in the morning, so I went to pick them up and brought them here.

Kass: Why did you not come back to the bed?

She crossed her arms over her chest and, "Hmph,"-ed after doing so. I only laughed, then kissed her neck, causing her to moan a little.

Me: I'm sorry, I was just so exhausted that I couldnt even move, after seeing them be safe.

She nodded and kissed my cheek, causing me to lopsidedly grin. That's when I knock came through the door.

Luna: Can we come in dad?

Me: Of course honey.

They opened it and immediately started to glare daggers at Kass.

Me: Now girls, dont be rude.

Ember: Did she hurt you?

Me: Of course not. Here, come closer, both of you.

They came close and I whispered into their ears.

Me: This is the girl that might be your mom one day.

Their eyes widened and they blushed of embaressment. I chuckled.

Kass: What did you tell them?

Me: Something I dont want you to know.

She frowned and glared at me playfully.

Me: Now girls, introduce yourselves.

Ember seemed to perk up at this point.

Ember: Hi, I'm Ember, though dad sometimes calls me Em-

Me: Or my little flame queen.

Ember: Dad!

She said dragging out the word. Kass and I laughed at this, while I picked up Ember like a baby.

Me: Is flame princess better?

Ember: Put me down!

She tried to thrash around but she knew full well that she couldnt escape.

Luna: H-hello, my n-name is L-Luna.

She said shyly. Kass picked her up, to which, Luna went stiff as a statue.

Kass: Aw, aren't you a cute one.

Luna turned her head to me and reached her arms out.

Luna: D-Dad!

I laughed and set Ember on one of my shoulder and grabbed Luna, setting her on the other.

Me: Is that better?

She leaned herself against my head and rested her head against mine. Ember, soon did the same, except laid her head on Luna's.

Kass: Awww, they really do love you, dont they?

Me: They aren't the only ones.

I winked at her and she blushed immediately, before walking up to me and kissing my lips.

Kass: No they aren't.

That's when both Luna and Ember made a gaging noise.

Me: Hey! Rude.

I crossed my arms while the other three laughed. But that's when I noticed something very critical.

Me: Wait, do you not care?

Kass: Hm? Care about what?

I proceeded to gently take Ember and Luna's tails into my hand.

Me: About this.

Kass: Why would I care? They are still human children at heart.

I smiled brightly at this. I dont know what I would've done if she said otherwise.

Me: Good lord. That was basically the deal breaker.

I heaved a heavy sigh of relief before going blind.

Me: Girls.

Ember: Hehe, you cant see papa.

They covered my eyes with their fluffy tails so I could hardly see anything.

Me: Girls, do you want me to tickle you again?

They immediately removed their tails.

Both: N-NO!

I chuckled.

Me: Thought so.

I slid them off my shoulders and began to tickle them regardless.

Me: But too bad!

Ember: D-dad *gasp* s-top!

Luna: P-papa.

They were giggling non-stop and I only stopped after a half minute. They puffed their cheeks and glared at me, to which I smiled in response.

Me: Oops.

I shrugged whilst replying.

Kass: Are you gonna make breakfast or is Azula gonna burn the pan again?

I laughed heartily.

Me: I'll do it. But while I do it, can you round up the others into the living room. My little babies will stay with me in the kitchen

I was lightly jabbed in the side.

Both: WE ARENT BABIES!

Me: Right, you're my babies.

I was jabbed again.

Me: Ok, ok, come on let's go.

I grabbed their tiny hands and led them downstairs and into the kitchen. Which hurt my back, because I was so much taller than then but that's not important. Is soon began to prepare food and in an hour it was ready.

Me: Been sometime since I made this, hopefully ita good, or at least decent.

The aroma excreted by the Pozole was decent but it wasn't as good as my others.

Me: Girls does it smell good?

Luna: Amazing dad.

Ember: Smells spicy. Can we try it? It's making me hungry.

Is what she whined making me and Luna laugh at her, to which she joined.

Me: You guys can start eating, but I have some business to attend to.

I served them bowls and gave it to them. They grabbed my hands with both of theirs and licked the back of it.

Luna: Be safe papa.

Ember: We will hurt them if they hurt you.

Me: Girls it's fine, I'll be okay. I promise. Now hurry and eat, but blow on it first, we dont want you burning your tongues off.

I kissed their foreheads and headed towards the living room.

Well, it went a lot better than expected.

Me: You guys really dont care?!

All: Nope.

Me: Ok then. I did not expect this. Except from Kesh and Kass.

Takeshi: Gotch' you man.

Kass: They are attached to you. I cant exactly get rid of them even if I wanted to.

She said while wrapping her arm around my waist.

Me: Welp, guess we can eat now, but, there are now some knew rules in place.

They all brought their attention back to me.

Me: First; Did not, unless given permission by me, enter their room. Second; Do not yell, touch, or try to harm/punish them in any way. Leave that to me, as I am their father.
Third; Do not touch their tails or ears without my and their approval. They are very sensitive and they say it hurts to be touched or pulled.

They all nodded.

Me: If any of you break these rules, I will immediately drive you back, with all your stuff. Forcefully or not. Nothing will be tolerated, they have been through enough, and I dont want them going through more. Got it?

I asked like a drill sergeant. They all nodded.

Me: Oh, and try to not swear near them. Now, let us feast.

I waved for them to follow me and headed to the kitchen.

These next weeks will be odd.
