Ronin POV

Walking out of my car and into school ground, greeting the school receptionist, and walking through the door were now instinct. I could've taken the quicker route but it was nicer this way. At least, I thought so. On my way out the door I turned and was jump scared by Kass, standing mere inches away from my face.

Me: "Gah! What the hell Kass!?"

She giggled and smiled at me, instantly warming my heart from the cold winter that had taken over the area.

Kass: "Scaredy pants. Cant I say hi to my favorite person?"

Me: "I guess, but not scare them. So, what about the vacation?"

Her eyes widened and lit up at the same time.

Kass: "They said I can go!!"

She wrapped her arms around my neck and threw her body at me.

Me: "That's awesome!"

She then put her face, waaaaay too close to mine. This caused my face to heat up.

Kass: "Aww, little Rony getting flustered?"

Rony? That's an odd nickname. Not that it mattered since it just made me blush even more.

Me: "N-no! Y-You're j-just too c-close."

She moved even further closer and our noses were touching and our lips were only an inch apart.

Kass: "What about getting too close? Dont you like it when I get close?"

Me: "I d-do! I-I mean, I don-t! Argh, stop messing with me!!"

She giggled and kissed my cheek, which didnt help my blush in the slightest. Unfortunately though, she did end up pulling away.

Kass: "Maybe, we can get closer at the cabin."

She winked at me and I felt my hair stand on end and electricity flow down my spine.

Me: "Wh-what?!?"

Kass: "I'm just joking. . . Or am I?"

Me: "KASS!!!"

She started laughing hysterically and I only stood there blushing and pouting at her. She will be the death of me someday.

Takeshi: "So, the cabin? Again?"

Rene: "You've been there before?"

Me: "Yeah, I've taken him there,but it was during the summer."

Takeshi: "Well, yeah I'm in."

Rene: "Let me call my dad."

He stood up and walked to the other side of the rooftop. The girls were talking to one another and were having a good time. They seemed really excited.

Me: "Just like old times huh Kesh?"

Takeshi: "I wonder how they'll react when we get there. By the way, wasn't it your birthday yesterday?"

Me: "Yeah, the girls made me a cake. I brought some, you want a piece?"

Takeshi: "Nah man. It was specially made for you."

Me: "Suit yourself."

I had taken the cake out of my lunch bag and started to eat some. And that was when the girls had finished their talk.

Elizabeth: "Whatcha got there Ronin?"

Me: "Cake."

Azula: "You bought a cake?"

Me: "No, someone made it for me."

Elizabeth: "Why?"

Me: "It was my birthday yesterday."

Kass: "What!? Why didnt ou say anything?"

Me: "Cause it's nothing too important."

She walked up and slugged me in the arm.

Me: "Hey."

I whined before getting kissed. Again.

Kass: "The first was for not telling me. The other was your birthday gift."

She then leaned in and whispered into my ear.

Kass: "Although, I might give you something else, at the cabin."

She pulled away and pecked my lips again before sitting down in front of me and smiling innocently. I just started to eat the cake faster because of the new found embarrassment.

Me: "S-so. Can you g-guys go?"

I stuttered trying to change the topic.

So. Everyone can go. Not that it's a problem. The place is built for 10. The problem is whether I want to take my little girls there.

Me: "I'm back!!"

This time, I heard their pitter patter of footsteps. Except the suprise waiting for me was a bit different.

Luna: "Papa, papa! Look!"

They ran up to me and hugged me. Except their ears and tails were gone. Poofed out of existence and erased off their body.

Me: "What? Since when could you do this?"

Ember: "We found ot by accident today! Luna got scared and hid her ears and tail!"

Me: "That's amazing!"

They looked like regular children, the only oddity was the coloured hair. However, with hair dye becoming more and more, "hip," nowadays, it's easy to explain.

Me: "You dont look as adorable as you were with your ears and tails but other than that you look like me when I was younger."

Luna: "Silly papa, you weren't a girl when you were younger."

Me: "Of course not. I meant you look like most children at school and on TV."

They smiled and hugged me tighter, their purring chests vibrated against mine.

I would protect them. No matter what it cost me.
