I took a deep breath, said a quick prayer and went towards Mordred's table, hoping that I just might survive the encounter. As I neared the table Mordred's eyes locked onto me and she was completely surprised when I sat down next to her, distracting her from her food. Jeanne leaned from behind Mordred with her raised eyebrow.

Mordred : What are you doing at our table, loser?

(Y/N) : As I said before, we've started off wrong. I was hoping we can somehow lower the agression between us.

Mordred : The only thing I'll lower is the amount of teeth in your mouth!

??? : Come on, Mordie, this one's a cutie.

Mordred : Shut up, Em, this got nothing to do with you!

Emerald : I've read quite a bit of manga since I came here and... Are you perhaps a tsundere?

Mordred : I told you to shut up, Choco-Girl!

Jeanne : You are too easy to tease, 'Mordie'.

As girls started bickering between each other I looked at the final person at the table and I was struck. She's very cute and her color scheme reminds of an ice cream.

She looked up from the ice cream she was enjoying and smiled at me before pulling out scroll. Wow, those are rare. Only some people have them since it's relatively new technology. She typed on it for a few seconds before shoving it in my face.

Neo : Hello! My name is Neopolitan! Don't mind them, if you're gonna stick around you'll better get used to it. Emerald likes to tease everyone but she doesn't mean anything bad.

(Y/N) : It's nice to meet you, I'm (Y/N) Minamoto.

Neo : Minamoto? I had a girl with that last name in my previous class.

(Y/N) : She's my twin. Her name is Ushiwakamaru, you can just call her Ushi. She doesn't mind.

Neo : I'll be sure to remember both of you. Oh, others are staring.

Emerald : We turned just for a second and you're already flirting with Neo~?

(Y/N) : N-No! I was just saying hello!

Emerald : Aren't you cute, all red like that~? Isn't that your favourite color Mordred~?

Mordred : Hmph!

Jeanne : You're all getting annoying. I've had enough of it all.

Once Jeanne was up and about to walk away Mordred quickly got up and followed her. I looked between Neo and Emerald who both had smirks as they looked behind the two. I sigh and was about to walk away too but I then Emerald and Neo walked past me. Em ran her finger across my jaw before winking and walking off...

Wow. Well, I should get myself a drink. I reached for my wallet and opened it but...

(Y/N) : What's with the paper?

I unfolded it and scan over the words before my face lighten up. I could feel my face growing warm.

'Call me sometimes, Cutie

Emerald'

What? I looked throught my wallet, seeing that the change I kept to buy myself drinks is gone... I have to be more careful around her next time. Anyway, I should head to class in that case. Hmmm, I have a combat class now. I'm sure it's something Mordred and Jeanne will enjoy the most.

I entered the 'Combat Classroom - Arena' and noticed a large arena in the middle with rows of seats all around it. Arena had two entry points on opposite sides, probably leading to changing rooms and a single staircase in one of the walls at the middle point of the large circle. I took a seat to the side and waited, as classroom was slowly but steadily filling up with students.

??? : Do you mind if we sit here?

(Y/N) : No, not at all!

She took me by surprise so I didn't even notice all of her features until she sit down along with her friend when I scoot to the side. I took a closer look noticing their... features. The girl with a shy expression that blushes each time our eyes meet has bunny ears. The other with rather cold look has a bow... that twitches each time there's a louder sound.

??? : Why are you staring like that?

(Y/N) : Are you both faunus?

??? : Do you have a problem with that?

(Y/N) : No, just wondering why are you hiding your ears under that bow...

Blake : There are people who are less open-minded about my kind. I am Blake Belladonna and this is Velvet Scarlatina.

(Y/N) : It's nice to meet both of you. I'm (Y/N) Minamoto, I hope we can be friends.

Velvet : I-I'd like to. There's a lot of people who give us cold stares...

(Y/N) : Yeah... I get that too.

Blake : What do you mean?

(Y/N) : Look behind me.

She turned behind but I don't have to. I saw Mordred walking around and the cold, hard stare that could snap my neck just from the intensity is enough for me to know that it's her behind me along with Jeanne. Suddenly someone entered the arena and looked around.

Glynda : Welcome to Chaldea Highschool. I am Professor Glynda Goodwitch. I will be teaching you how to fight properly and minimize your reliance on the powers you how while fighting.

??? : Isn't this counterproductive?

Glynda : What is your name?

Lucina : I am Lucina Exalt.

Glynda : That is a good question. There will be another class where you will be learning solely about using your powers but - what if you can't use them? There are many diffrent ways that your powers work, some require combat focus for a long time others require mana and the list goes on. Here you will be learning on how to battle when you're unable to use your true strenght that lies in your power and have to depend only on your combat prowess.

Lucina : Thank you for your explenation, forgive me for interrupting.

Glynda : Do not worry about it, I suspect that many people didn't understand the importance of this class until I've explained it.

Loud whispers followed her simple explenation as everyone agreed that it makes more or less sense. She pulled out a scroll and looked throught it for a few second before a pair of hands appeared behind her and clapped loudly, silencing the class.

Glynda : We will start by a simple duel of two people that don't have to strongly depend on their powers. Nero Claudius and Camilla Nohr, go change and come to the arena. Your equipment is waiting in the changing room.

I didn't notice the latter girl but it turns out that Nero is the girl sitting in front of me. She stood up with a large smile and looked as everyone's eyes landed on her.

Nero : Everyone's eyes are on me! I should give them a beautiful spectatacle as to not disappoint them!

She took a step back before jumping and landing on the arena. She looked around with a smile one last time before heading for the changing room. I just a little while both of the called out fighters stepped out... And now, both are breathtaking...

Camilla : Ara ara, aren't you cute~?

Nero : I accept your praise but it's time for our weapons to speak in theatre of sparks and symphony of clashes!

Camilla : Well put, little lady~!

Suddenly Camilla swung her giant axe - with one hand, might I add - at Nero, who swiftly dodged the incoming attack. She did a spin attack but Camilla simply raised her axe and the blade bounced off of it but Nero moved with the sword and aimed for Camilla's arm. She, however, expected follow up and locked the blade with her axe before backhanding Nero and foiling her plan of attack.

Camilla : So, are we done playing around~?

Nero : Let us go all out then!

Suddenly I saw just colors moving and clashing. Nero was on top of Camilla almost instantly, not letting her opponent to block her again she did a quick thrust taking quite a bit off of Camilla's spirit shield but Camilla swung her axe again at the same time. I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for the Nero's spirit shield her arm would be gone from that attack.

Suddenly, the all too familiar axe moved up and then down but Nero threw herself under the blade instead of dodging away cause quite a few people to gasp until a true waterfall of sparks ensued... Nero slid under the blade of the axe and used her sword to negate the possible hit before slicing at Camilla's undefended form.

Crack. The spirit shield was gone and Camilla lost the match against Nero's incredibly dangerous move.

Nero : That was good match, I had to put a lot of effort into closing in to even attack you. I'm sure that if we were allowed to use out powers I'd be done for.

Camilla : What you did there was very dangerous!

Nero : It had to be done in order for me to break through your iron defence!

Glynda : While I agree that it was rather effective I also have to agree with Camilla, it was incredibly dangerous of you to throw yourself under attack like that! Change back and I'll finish the explenations.

When girls went back to join everyone else I noticed that Camilla sat next to Kamui and Robin. Kamui was checking with Camilla is okay and before I knew she was trapped in Camilla's arms who locked her in place and started smothering Kamui with her breasts...

Glynda : Next class we will have in a room next to this one where it's a simple classroom. I will be explaining more about everyone's battle stance once we'll see them. You are dismissed.

The class all flooded the exit and some jerk with brownish hair started to push everyone out of the way. Suddenly I felt someone falling on top of me as people were being pushed aside. I looked down and noticed someone I already saw at the table with Jaune. We were also joined by a white haired girl, probably a friend of hers.

Ruby : Thanks for catching me! I'm Ruby Rose!

Weiss : I'm sorry about her. My name is Weiss Schnee.

(Y/N) : No worries. Those people and just straight up jerks, pushing everyone aside like that. The name's (Y/N) Minamoto.

Weiss : I've met your sister, she's really nice and dignified.

Ruby : She also looks so cool and is super smart!

??? : Hey Rubes! Second day of school and you're already falling for some guy when I turn around?

Ruby : Yang!

Yang : No worries, Rubes, I saw what happened. Thanks for catching her. I'm Yang Xiao Long, your friendly firecracker and party girl! I saw you talking to Blake, by the way.

(Y/N) : Oh yes, we sat together and the small talk just came along...

Yang : Trust me when I say that she's more than meets the eye. Anyway, we must go, it's our last class!

Ruby : See you later, (Y/N)!

She gave me a quick hug before running after her friends. I smiled and checked the schedule. Arts? Ugh, like I have any talent... I mean I might have but I've never spent time painting or making anything artistic unless you count making stuff from blocks. I headed for the class hoping that the teacher will be at least a little bit understanding of the situation...

Leonardo : Hello everyone! My name is Leonardo Da Vinci and I'll be your Arts Teacher!

Jeanne : What's the point of art for us? We're here to be fighters.

Leonardo : Little Jeanny, the point of art is to express yourself! Many people can get to know you just by what you're going to make. It's also a good way to get your thoughts away from troublesome things and relax a little.

Leonardo gave us all some paper and told to draw the first thing that comes to mind. 

I saw Mordred making her mom with an annoyed expression, Jeanne was drawing a burning church and people being eaten by dragons, I notice that not too far was Nero who made Old Rome picture. More to the side was Ruby who drew cookies and Weiss drawing a knight... Neo drew ice creams. Camilla drew Kamui with hearts around her... She might have a slight problem. I felt better once more people starting showing their pictures, the class had good laugh and I belive we've bonded at least a little bit more...

As of now there will be a picking phase at the end of 'normal' days. There won't be any choice if there will be an event next day. I will be informing if there will be an event in advance so no worries.
