Taehyung's eyes bore into Jungkook's, a mix of desire and restraint evident in his gaze. "You don't know what you're doing to me, Jungkook," he murmured, his voice barely more than a breath. "But if you keep pushing, I might just show you."

Jungkook's pulse quickened, the intensity of Taehyung's words and the closeness of their bodies making his head spin. He swallowed hard, his own breath coming in shallow gasps as he tried to maintain his composure. "Maybe I want to see," he whispered back, his voice trembling slightly but filled with determination.

Taehyung leaned in closer, their lips just a few millimeters from each other. Jungkook closed his eyes, trying to enjoy the kiss that seemed inevitable. But it never came. Jungkook opened his eyes a few seconds later to find Taehyung had again made some distance between them.

Taehyung was looking at Jungkook with a mischievous grin. Jungkook pouted, "Why didn't you kiss me?"

Taehyung smiled, his eyes twinkling with a mix of affection and restraint. "Because, once I kiss you... I won't be able to stop. One kiss won't be enough. Just kissing won't be enough. The beast in me is asleep right now. Let's not wake him up before time."

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red, his heart racing at Taehyung's words. He bit his lower lip, trying to hide the small smile that threatened to appear. "You're such a tease," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his hand gently caressing Jungkook's cheek. "Maybe I am," he admitted.

He then offered his hand to Jungkook. "Let's go? You don't want to be late for your own event."

Jungkook took his hand and entwined their fingers as they walked to their car. Both of them sat in the backseat as the driver started driving towards the venue. The whole time, Taehyung was looking outside, a small smile playing on his lips, while Jungkook was looking at his lap, playing with Taehyung's fingers. His cheeks were a bright blush, and a genuine smile lingered on his lips.

As they arrived at the venue and the car stopped in front of the bookstore where the event was being held, Taehyung got down from the car and opened the door for Jungkook. Jungkook took the hand Taehyung offered with a shy smile and got out.

He linked his arm with Taehyung's, and they walked inside, the crowd's eyes following their every move. The audience was diverse; people of all ages read Jungkook's books. Teenagers, middle-aged fans, and even a few senior citizens had gathered to meet their favorite author.

Jungkook smiled at all of them, genuinely waving as they made their way inside. The warm reception filled him with a mix of excitement and nerves. As they entered the bookstore, Jungkook was guided to the stage while Taehyung let go of his hand, moving to one side of the room to watch, admiration clear in his eyes.

Jennie, his editor, stepped up to the microphone and began her introduction. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for being here tonight. It is my great pleasure to introduce the author of the evening, a truly talented storyteller whose words have touched so many of us, Jungkook!"

The audience erupted into applause and cheers as Jungkook made his way to the stage. He smiled brightly, his heart swelling with gratitude. The stage was set with a comfortable couch and a coffee table, creating an inviting atmosphere.

Jungkook went and sat on the couch, taking the mic in his hand. He smiled at everyone and started speaking, the crowd falling silent, eager to listen to his words. "Good evening, everyone! Thank you for attending this event and making my life brighter with your presence. Today, before the book signing and reading an excerpt like I do every time, I want to tell you guys something very, very interesting which I think you'll like."

The crowd leaned in, hanging on to his every word. Jungkook paused for dramatic effect, enjoying the anticipation that built up. "Another book is being added to the 'Obsessed' series."

The crowd broke into a loud cheer! "Obsessed" was the most popular and best-selling series Jungkook had written, with "Forbidden Allure" being one of the standout books in the series. Jungkook smiled as the excitement in the room surged. He waited patiently for the noise to settle down.

"As many of you know, 'Obsessed' holds a special place in my heart," Jungkook continued, his voice warm with affection. "This new book will delve deeper into the lives of our favorite characters, exploring new dimensions and uncovering secrets that have been hidden for too long."

The crowd murmured in excitement, exchanging whispers about what the new book might entail. Jungkook could see the enthusiasm in their eyes, and it fueled his own excitement for the project.

He continued, "I can't give away too much just yet, but I promise you, it's going to be a rollercoaster of emotions, with all the twists and turns you love."

Jungkook took his latest book, 'Paper Hearts,' in his hand and began reading the excerpt, his voice resonating through the silent room.

"...And as I sat by the window, longing for that comforting embrace, I was met with nothing but cold around me. I hugged my knees, looking at the snowfall, reminded of all the moments we spent together. Snow was his favorite.

I still remember our snowball fights, the first time I made a snowman—he taught me how. Making snow angels, trying to learn ice skating, only to crash into him, dragging him down with me...

I chuckled at the memory, wiping away the lone tear that fell across my cheek. Perhaps some loves are not meant to last. They are just there to show you what love actually is, how it is more than expensive dates and luxurious flowers.

Love is about making memories, feeling safe in somebody's embrace. Right now, I am in a warm, luxurious house, surrounded by all the things I ever wished for. The luxurious life I always craved... Yet... I'm not home. With him, I was home even when we were sitting under a tree, trying to cover ourselves from the rain, both freezing... Yet, I was home then. For I was in his warm arms."

Jungkook paused, his voice filled with emotion, and looked up at the audience. The room was silent, captivated by his words. He could see the empathy and connection in their eyes, and it made his heart swell with a mixture of vulnerability and pride.

He took a deep breath and continued reading, his voice shifting to match the poignant lines. "Yet... amidst missing him so deeply and wishing he were here with me, I hoped that he was happy with his life. I hoped that his wife brought him happiness. That she played with him in the snow, listening to the sweet giggles he always let out when hit by snow... That she kept him warm after they went inside, both cold from the snow. I hope he's happy with her. I hope he's home... I hope he feels with her as I felt with him. Safe...

Despite all that happened and everything that led his wife to have the rights and moments that belonged to me... I hope he's happy with her. I can't bring myself to hate her... How can I? It was my foolish heart that ruined everything. Not hers."

The audience was silent, the weight of Jungkook's words hanging in the air. He looked up, seeing the myriad of expressions—some were teary-eyed, others thoughtful, and all deeply moved.

Jungkook smiled softly and closed the book. "I hope you all will like the book. It's about letting someone you love go and finding the strength to wish them happiness, even when they are no longer with you."

The room remained hushed, a collective breath held in the shared emotional space. Jungkook could feel the connection he had made with his audience, a silent understanding of the universal pain and beauty of love and loss.

He continued, "Writing this story was a journey for me. It taught me a lot about acceptance and the different forms that love can take. I hope it resonates with you and perhaps brings some comfort to those who need it."

The applause that followed was both gentle and powerful, a testament to the impact of his words. Jungkook's heart swelled with gratitude and pride as he took in the sight of his supporters, each clap a shared acknowledgment of the human experience he had captured.

After a few moments, Jungkook moved to the signing table, where he began signing the fans' books. Each person in line held a copy of his latest work, their faces alight with anticipation and admiration. Jungkook made a point to have short but meaningful conversations with as many fans as possible, cherishing the opportunity to connect with them on a personal level.

One young girl approached the table, her eyes wide with excitement. "Your books have inspired me to start writing my own stories," she said shyly, clutching her copy of 'Paper Hearts.'

Jungkook smiled warmly as he signed her book. "That's wonderful to hear. Keep writing and never give up on your dreams. Your stories deserve to be told."
