Chapter 12: You asked for this pt. 2

I saw the fear in Apple's eyes as I barreled towards her. She must've been frozen in shock and fear because she didn't even try to get out of the way.

I jumped on top of her and started beating the shit out of her. All she could manage to do was put her arms up in a defensive position.

I went to hit her nose, but then someone shouted. "Stop!" I looked over at who was trying to intervene, and saw the one person I did not want to see right now.

"Go away Parker and let me finish her. I'm sick and tired of her constantly making fun of me and calling me names. She deserves this."

"She may deserve this, but that doesn't make it right," he responded.

He reach forward to pull me off her, but I pushed him off which made him fall into a rack of clothes behind him.

As he tried to get up, he slipped on a piece of fabric and somehow managed to knock down a nearby shoe display as well.

If I wasn't in the middle of beating up Apple, I would've stopped and started videotaping so I could embarrass him in the future. Parker looked like a baby horse trying to walk for the first time, tripping over all those clothes.

After a couple more failed attempts, he finally managed to get up and walked over to me and Apple who's fight had paused. I still had the upper hand though, considering I was still straddling her.

"Come on Blaze. She's not worth it!" He exclaimed. Apple looked up at him and was begging him with her eyes to help her out, and when that didn't work, she started to whine. "Parker! Help me!"

Instead of helping her, he ignored her and bent down to get me off her. "Leave me alone," I shrugged his hand off my shoulder.

But, I must've shrugged too hard, because he fell backwards again and hit a worker in the chest, causing them both to fall down.

Oh god! This shopping trip was a disaster!

Just then, my mother walked back in the store (I hadn't even noticed she left) with a security guard by her side. "Oh thank god!" I mumbled to myself. I scrambled off Apple and ran over to my mom.

"Thank god you brought security. That girl needs to be arrested. She punched me and called me a bitch for no reason!" I exclaimed.

Apple scoffed. "That is so not what happened. Officer, I was just trying to start a conversation with my classmate, then she went crazy and started attacking me. I would never start a fight with someone."

Now it was my turn to scoff. "That's bullshit. I've seen you instigate fights at least 15 times at school. You're a mean, self conceited rich girl who thinks she can get away with whatever she wants. I've watched you trips kids in the hall and then act hurt just so you could get them in trouble."

Her nostrils flared in anger. She stepped forward, about to say something else, but the security guard interrupted her. "I don't care who started it, but both of you guys were fighting which means both of you have to be detained for an hour at least."

"WHAT?" I shouted. This was so not fair. This is all Apple's fault. If she hadn't called me a bitch, I wouldn't have attacked her. "Mom, aren't you going to do anything about this?" She had been silent during the little exchange, hadn't even bothered to defend me.

"No, I'm not. You need to learn to control your anger, especially around someone who's only goal is to start a fight. Maybe being detained for an hour will teach you a lesson."

"She's right you know," Parker butted in. "Oh shut up. No one asked for your opinion. What are you still doing here anyways?"

He had no reason what so ever to still be here watching everything go down. Although, this is a good opportunity for him to tease me more.

Great, I just gave him more ammunition to use against me. "I just wanted to watch you walk away in handcuffs, but I don't think that's going to happen so I'm going to head out."

Parker didn't make it out of the store. The security guard had put his arm out stopping him from leaving. "Excuse me, but I need to go," He said.

The security guard smirked. Weird.

"And where do you think you are going? You were involved in the fight too, so you have to be detained as well."

"Come on! How was I involved? If anything, I was trying to break up the fight."

"You knocked over a shirt display, shoe display, and hit one of our employees. That's enough cause for me to detain you."

"But that was all an accident! I didn't do anything!" He yelled.

"Let's go!" the security guard declared. Slowly, we all started following him, none of us saying anything. We were all too pissed off at each other to do or say anything. "What crawled up his ass and died?" Parker mumbled.

The guard turned around to glare at him. Despite the anger boiling inside of me, I let out a small chuckle. Seeing the security guard get angry was pretty funny, even though it was Parker that made him like that.

"He look's like he hasn't gotten laid in years. Maybe that's why he's angry. Nobody wants a short, old, fat guy," Parker whispered in my ear.

I did my best to stifle my laughter, but the guard still managed to hear me. "What did you just say?" he fumed, snapping his head around to look at us. His face was turning redder by the minute.

"Nothing," Parker and I shut up after that, but I could still tell he was struggling to not make another joke about him.

I was struggling not to laugh.

---

An hour later and I was standing outside the mall, in the parking lot, waiting for my mom to come pick me up. Apple had already left, and I don't know where Parker went, but it's not like I care.

Being detained with Apple and Parker was sickening and I swear to god I almost threw up 5 times because of Apple's outrageous flirting.

She was in a cell and still had the balls to flirt with Parker, when it's pretty clear that he wasn't into it. Apple kept pulling her shirt down and leaning forward to make her fake boobs look more appealing but parker backed away every time.

Don't even get me started on the innuendos she kept throwing Parker's way. Part of me feels bad for her, because she thinks the only way she can get a guy is by throwing herself at them, but then I remember all the things she's done to people at our school and suddenly I don't feel so bad anymore.

I'm just glad I'm free now. I couldn't handle being trapped in a cell with Apple and Parker for another 5 minutes.

I texted my mom a couple minutes ago to see when she was coming, but she said she wouldn't be here for another 20 minutes. I was playing Candy Crush when a shadow loomed over me.

"Watcha doing?"

"Shit!" I screamed, dropping my phone on the ground, making it crack more. "Great job Parker. Not only did you scare the shit out of me, you also made me break my phone."

"You're welcome!" he replied cheerfully. I scowled at him. "What are you still doing here?" I asked.

"I'm waiting for Scottie to come get me."

"Cool," I stated then turned my attention to my phone. Luckily, it still worked. There were just a few more cracks so I guess it's okay.

"I'm going to get you back you know," Parker said, breaking the silence I wish he would've kept. "Why? I didn't do anything to you?"

"Didn't do anything, really? That's rich!" he laughed. "First you shove me into a clothing display, causing it to topple, and then you push me into a worker and I get in trouble for 'hitting' them." he said the last part with air quotes.

I stood up so I could argue with him better. Arguing while looking up at someone hurt my neck, although standing up didn't change anything. He was still over a foot taller than me.

"That clothing display falling was completely your fault. I only lightly shoved you, you're the one that fell into it and same goes for the worker you it. It's not like I pushed you into her, that's all on you."

"Yea, but if you hadn't pushed me away I wouldn't have fallen into them."

"You're just mad that you got in trouble. You could've walked away. So, this is really all your fault," I replied.

"Shut up, no it's not!" he whined like a little kid.

It was silent for a few moments before Parker spoke again.

"You know, Apple really isn't that bad, she just has attachment issues. And I know she can be crazy at times, but I'm sure there's a reason for it."

I snorted. "Please, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There's never an excuse for bullying. Even if something is going on with her, it only explains her actions, it does not excuse them."

My mother's car pulled into the parking lot then, giving me an escape from Parker.

"You know, it's still your fault," I shouted out the window as my mom drove away.

"What was that all about?" she asked.

"Oh, nothing."

———

My parents were surprisingly calm about what happened at the mall. My mom was still mad at me for getting in a fight, but I explained to her what happened before the fight and she was somewhat understanding.

My dad in the other hand, was practically cheering me on (which earned him a hard look from his wife). He told me once my mom left "Next time hit them in the neck first and you're almost guaranteed to win the fight."

I first bumped by dad before going upstairs. My dad was really chill with things like this, it's why I liked him better than my mom.

Instead of grounding me, he's gives me tips on how to fight better. I love him.

It was currently Saturday morning and I was outside preparing for the party. My mom made a list of everything we needed to get done before people started arriving.

1. Mow the lawn
2. Clean the pool
3. Set up all the tables and chairs
4. Prepare the food

It wasn't that much when you think about it. But mowing the lawn and cleaning the pool would take me almost 3 hours.

I was currently halfway done cleaning the pool and it was already almost 12.

I had been working for 2 hours already. Time flew by the rest of the day.

Before I knew it, my party was only an hour away and I had to get ready. There was a knock on my door and it opened to reveal my best friends. "Let's get this party started!" Stephen screamed when he walked in.

Sophia slapped him on the back of his head. "The party's not for another hour yet dipshit/ Be more careful next time."

When he got close to me, I could smell the alcohol on him. Looks like someone did a little pre-party celebrating. My parents would never allow me to have alcohol at my parties, which is why they always hung out in the kitchen so they could keep an eye on us.

"I know it's a pool party, but I brought over some of my waterproof makeup for you to use," Sophia said.

The neon pink makeup bag was in her hand looking like it was ready to explode. Some my ass. Knowing my friend, she probably brought her entire makeup collection with.

I took the bag from her and dug around until I found the mascara. This was the only makeup I was planning on wearing today. Anything more would make me look like I was trying too hard. My hand flicked the wand over my eyelashes a couple times before handing it back to Sophia.

I wasn't bothering with my hair since anything I did would be undone by the water. My fingers raked through my hair to make sure I was knot-free before going into my closet to change. The swimsuit I bought was on a hanger on the back of my closet door.

I carefully put it on and then threw on an oversized t-shirt over it.

Then, the doorbell rang.

Shit! People shouldn't be arriving already. I was supposed to have another hour.

I raced out of my closet and down the stairs to answer the door, my 2 best friends trailing behind me. There standing at my door was Andrew.

"Andrew? What are you doing here so early? The party doesn't start for another hour almost."

I was surprised to see him here, to say the least. Ever since I hung out with Parker and his friends a couple weeks ago, I had kept in contact with some of his friends, but mainly Andrew.

The more I talked to him, the more I realized he was a nice guy, despite calling me babe. He just liked to joke around like that.

"I can't stay as late as everyone else so I thought I would get here earlier to make up for it," he responded, popping a grape in his mouth. Wait a second-

"Where did you get that grape from?" I asked. He wasn't carrying anything except a gift for me I assumed. "I carry some in my pocket in case I get hungry. Want one?" He pulled another one out from his pocket and offered it to me.

"No thanks," I declined in mild disgust, but I wasn't going to question it. I've learned that Parker's friends are just as weird as him, if not more.

"Well, since you're here early, what do you want to do to kill time?"

"Video games?" Andrew suggested.

"Oh you're on," Stephen butted in. Oops, I forgot my friends were here too. Stephen gets competitive playing games. Andrew doesn't stand a chance.

I followed Stephen and Andrew into the living room where they were arguing over what game to play. Andrew wanted to play GTA5 and Stephen wanted to play FIFA. Like the grown men they are, they settled the argument with rock paper scissors.

"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" Andrew had scissors and Stephen had rock. "HA! Take that. We're playing FIFA, I hope you're ready to get your ass kicked."

Andrew snorted. "Oh please, like you're going to beat me. I am a beast at this game. No one's ever beaten me."

"We'll see about that," Stephen said. They got out the controllers and hooked everything up and started playing.

Sophia and I went to hang out in the kitchen since we weren't interested in gaming. We sat on the island talking about random things while the boys shouted in the background.

I almost forgot how loud Stephen gets when he plays games, almost.

In the midst of all the yelling and cussing, the doorbell rang again. I glanced over at the clock we had hanging on the wall and realized it was time for people to start arriving.

When I answered the door, I saw that it was Scottie and Parker, each with a gift in their hand. "Welcome guys. I'm still waiting on people so you guys can go in the living room in the mean time."

Once they took their shoes off, I grabbed Parker's arm and dragged him into the kitchen. "Why are you here? I only invited Scottie," I whispered.

"Scottie wanted me to come as his plus one, if that's even a thing here. I guess he was nervous about coming here by himself."

"He was nervous?" I asked excitedly. If he was nervous to see me, does that mean he liked me back? I hope he does.

"Yeah, he doesn't like coming to parties because of all the unknown people. He gets a little shy around new people."

Awww! That's so cute! Scottie is so sweet, but I would've never guessed that he hated meeting new people. He's always super social and friendly with everyone.

Sorry the ending was kind of lame, but I promise the next chapter will be more exciting (or at least I hope that's what you guys think).
