After the incident I couldn't focus on the class at all.

Whenever I reach the class, my eyes search for him unknowingly. And ofcourse I find him staring at me. But as soon as our eyes meet, he looks away. Nervousness clear on his face. I think my eyes conjured up something, 'cause its seems like my eyes saw a pink tint on his cheeks.

Liya and Soph came to school as the bell indicating lunch time rang. For some reason, Mr. Ross was with them.

All this time, I could still feel Zay staring at me. But just like before, he looks away when our eyes meet. Ever since I came to this school, I never saw Zay acting the way he is right now. All this because of that almost k-kiss. God, my heart races whenever I'm reminded of that.

My mind was replaying the incident when someone shook me.

"KEIRA, do you know how long we've been calling you." Liya says. I look at both of them. Should I say what happened a few hours ago. I feel my face becomes hotter. "Umm, Keira... Why are you blushing." Soph asks. "God, you're turning even redder." I hear Soph laugh.

I then look at Zay, who actually heard what Soph was saying. His looks shocked and then I see him taking his coke and having a long gulp, and...

"Dude, you okay, you're face is red." I hear Jack asks Zay.

I see him stare at me and this time he doesn't take his eyes away from me even after our eyes met. I see him laying on his hand, trying to cover his red face with his arms.

What the actual hell. He is blushing... The great Zay Thomas is blushing.

And only I know the reason why we are blushing...

"What????.... He was about to do what???" Soph screamed.

Yes, in the end I did tell them. Those who have true friends will know this, a girl cannot hide secrets from her friends no matter what... It was so difficult to keep it inside for one hour. And yes this is my first time experiencing temptation to tell secrets to your friends.

So basically, our math teacher fainted and was taken to the hospital and we got proxy for the rest of the period. And that is how we reach here, sitting under the tree, when I told him what happened few hours ago. And yes, I was blushing like crazy when I was telling them about the incident. Their words not mine, but I could feel my face burning up.

"I believe this is his first time doing this kinda thing with a girl." Liya says.

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

"Well, our families have known each other even before we've born. We know him more than others. For us, he is like our brother. He hate the people who hurt his loved ones. Yes, he does hurt women but only those who deserves it. That is why we are so sure that he won't hurt you. It is also difficult do gain his trust and likeness. One of the other reason why he doesn't have any kind of rumors. He doesn't usually hang out with girls either. That is why it is difficult to believe that he was close to a girl." Liya explains.

"So close that his lips were just a centi away." Soph jokes and Liya laughs along with her.

"What are you girls laughing about." We hear a voice behind the tree.

We all look back to find the owner is none other than Ryan.

"Well, we know Zay more than others but we didn't know about these two." Liya corrects, sarcastically.

"See ... we actually came to ask something about Zay." Ryan says.

"So basically, you're saying, that even his close friends doesn't know what's wrong." Liya smirks.

"Well we heard that you both know a lot about Zay than anyone else." Ryan retorts, directing at Liya. And for a few minutes they have a staring showdown.

"Guys..." I try to avoid a fight as much as possible.

"Can we go and talk at some café. 'Cause I don't think this is the right place." Sophia says.

And of course we went to a café, but we didn't know these two boys actually booked the whole freaking café.

God these rich people. Show-off.

"HE WAS ABOUT TO DO WHAT???" Jack shouts.

Now where have I heard this fro-.....

"You mean Zay was about to kiss this girl who never shows her face." Jack rebukes.

"Hmm... No wonder he is always staring at her... not listening to our conversations." Ryan says.

"You mean he was staring at her and that's why he was not into what we were talking about???" Jack asked shocked.

"What the hell, you didn't even know that." Sophia smirks.

"Not only that, we also came to ask something else. As you know yesterday Zay just left school suddenly. And you three were also not seen. Sooo, where did you guys take him?" Ryan asks, glaring.

"Yeah, I don't know what's your deal. but we won't sit still if your playing with him." Jack says, anger clear on his tone. As if it had happened before. Wait...did something happen...

"Hey. What do you mean by playing?." Liya asks.

"Don't just say you know him more than others, 'cause you really don't know what happened and you know what, you both were not there when it happened, when he needed someone who he trusts the most." Ryan says with so much emotion that I could see Liya and Soph falter.

I knew that keeping quiet about myself can only tear down the trust and friendship that Zay have with Liya and Soph.

I look around the café, the glass walls and doors, although no one is here, it is not a good place to tell them the truth.

"Can we talk at Liya's and Sophia's house." I ask them.

"WHAT, now we have to go there, if you wanna speak, speak from here." Jack says.

"Keira, you're not gonna..." Soph asks in disbelief. I nod as an answer.

"It is something that cannot be said here. Even walls have ears." Liya tells to them and finally they agreed.

"So......... umm.... don't you think you have to go to child protection services or to the cops." Ryan asks, guilt clear in his face.

Yes, I told them everything exactly how I told to my friends. They to had the same expression when I removed my hoodie.

"Then why was Zay and you guys not at schools yesterday ?." Jack asks.

"Well, you know what Sophia said to Rachel when she first arrived." I say.

"Yeah, a. about the last season one. That was hi.la.ri.ous." Jack says munching on the snacks Soph just brought in.

"Yeah, well, Rachel told to her parents and.. well.. her dad whipped me." I explain.

Both of them sat and stared at me... still not getting the point.

"Just wait a minute." I get up and remove my jacket and turn so my back is facing them.

"Soph, Liya can you just hold my shirt up and show them." And they silently did it without questioning.

"Holy F**k" Jack and Ryan said when they saw the still bloody but healing marks.

"Yeah so basically, Zay knows that someone is abusing me but don't exactly know who."

"One more question.." Jack says still munching the snacks. I look at him.

"So 'Rachel' is related to you??" He asks. SH*T

" 'cause well.. you know you clearly said her name, and you know what Sophia said to her and all." He continues. OH NO.

Liya and Sophia's face whipped towards me. Ryan finally got the point and he too looks at me shocked. Jack stopped munching and looked at me.

"Wait a minute. 'Rachel' as in Rachel Hans." Ryan asks, still shocked.

They all stared at me, Liya and Soph knowing the mistake I just made, Jack and Ryan shocked about their new found information.

"So she and her parents are abusing you." Ryan asks again.

I sat there silently. "Please don't tell 'anything' to Zay." I tell them emphasizing. And clearly not answering Ryan's question.

He asks again clenching his jaw, "Is Rachel and her parents the one abusing you?."

I nod and look down.

I told them the name by mistake...
