Talk of town: Meet Shubman Gill's new girlfriend

During the DC vs GT match, a video clip emerged showing Maria cheering for Shubman Gill while sitting in the stands. Gill was also seen reacting to her video, the moment she came on the screen.

In a recent turn of events, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has made headlines with his romantic life. After parting ways with his ex-girlfriend, Sara Tendulkar, a year ago. Shubman was seen quiet a fewer times with Varisa Kohli who happens to be a model/businesswomen and also Virat Kohli's sister. 

He was rumored to be dating Varisa Kohli but it seems the cricketer has found his love. The lady luck happens to be none other than Maria Arroyog, a Spanish beauty.

The internet is buzzing with speculation about Maria and Gill! It all started when a reddit user posted a screenshot. According to the thread, Maria went to one of Gill's recent matches-and she's been following his personal instagram account. Now, this news is blowing up on social media and fans can't stop talking about it. 

I turned off my phone before entering to the Stella McCartney office to discuss about my outfit I'll be wearing in the Gala. I got an invitation for the Met like every year. It's been a week since I came from India and I might be staying for another week due to the met. 

Talking about the rumors that are surfacing these days on my absence from his matches don't make me worry but I get irritated and this time people are loving his pair with someone else which irked me badly and not to mention he's a lot busy these days. Shahneel di went back to Mohali so I can't even ask about his whereabouts from her.

We last talked yesterday in the noon and since then he hasn't called me nor picked my call up. I too got busy with the preparations for Met and few meetings. Yesterday was a rollercoaster for me, from appointments with Stella McCartney to meetings with the branch managers of my company.

For now, I cleared my mind and entered the office. We had an hour session discussing about the leftover designs, handwork and nearly everything. I came out of the office after finalizing nearly everything and headed to home. As I said before, the past few days were quiet hectic due to which I even missed few meals and now it's causing asthenia.

Entering the house I see Mrs. Steele preparing lunch. I directly went in my room and changed myself into something comfortable, not before taking a cold shower. I came out to the dinning area and sat there, scrolling through the mails. That's when I received a call from Shubman.

Shubman: hey baby! How are you?

Varisa: I'm good Shubi! How are you?

Shubman: main toh ekdum mast

Varisa: matches kaise chal rahe hain?

Shubman: we haven't lost a match since one with SRH

Varisa: that's great match toh main dekhti hi hun tumhare

Shubman: aisa kya mrs. Gill

Varisa: hanji mr. Gill

Shubman: wait receive the face time

Varisa: babe I'm having lunch

He didn't listen to me and I had to receive the face time. From the background it seemed that he is not in his room but a hall type place with voice of several peoples coming through. While talking to him, my eyes caught a familiar face, I've seen her somewhere. Just then the article from today morning struck me and I could join the dots. I put on a calm face and asked him, who's the girl behind him.

Varisa: who's the girl behind you? She's not one of the WAGs.

Shubman: oh she's a friend of mine

Varisa: oh I see! 

Shubman: btw when are you coming back?

Varisa: next week I guess!

Shubman: come back soon I want to see you in the stands cheering for me

Varisa: You already have someone to cheer for you

Shubman: what happened? Gussa ho?

Varisa: main kyun gussa hongi! Maine toh bas yeh bola ki you already have someone cheering for you

Shubman: Vari please be clear

Varisa: clear about what Shubman? What is that girl doing there?

Shubman: Vari she's a friend of mine

Varisa: oh yeah she's your friend I see! Spend time with your friend only!

Shubman's POV:

That's the last word I heard from her before she hanged up the call. Maria and I met due to Noor who happens to be my teammate and a great friend. Maria is her online friend who is here to support him for the matches and will be staying till the finals. I don't know what happened to Varisa and why all of a sudden she got ragged but this time I'm not the one at fault. She's angry because of a person she barely knows and she's already targeting her. She's not the Varisa I fell for. And this time I'm not gonna talk first or call first, she needs to understand that not every time she can be a baby.

Author's POV:

Varisa hanged up the phone and threw her phone in anger. She directly went to her room switching of the lights and turning on the AC before going on the bed and wrapping the duvets around her.

Mrs. Steele who saw the whole scene unfold in front of her, knew it would be a waste if she asked Varisa to have her lunch. She directly went to the room after having her lunch which Varisa appointed her.

In the evening, Varisa woke up and came out of the room. She looked at the broken phone and then remembered how her insecurity took over her and what all she did. She was guilty and also upset for talking to him like that at such an important time when he is having matches. But wasn't she also busy and representing her country at a huge platform. 

We don't always acknowledge models and actors who acts as great face for our country, but always see them as not so important. She picked her phone up and saw it was completely broken. Taking her laptop she texted her manager to get her a new phone asap.

In a span of 45 minutes her manager was in her house with a new model of I-phone. Handing her the phone she went away. While Varisa sat there setting up her new phone. She looked at the IST and it was currently 4 in the morning and he wakes up at 6. She thought of not disturbing him as  thought of talking to him tomorrow that will be noon in India.
