Cherry blossoms gracefully fell, the sounds of birds chirping, all of this was part of my favourite spot in school.

My crush, Jeon Jungkook, was standing in front of me at this place.

My heartbeat, which was already going crazy, was now completely out of control. My tummy felt funny, and I felt light-headed.

The Jeon Jungkook was standing in front of me blushing. He nervously scratched his neck.

" Hey, I was wondering if–"

All of a sudden, my best friend, Kim Taehyung, the best guy on earth ever, appeared from behind the tree.

" Boo!" He giggled.

I had no idea to get mad or to laugh or to find it adorable.

But I was feeling a mix, so...

Jungkook stared at Taehyung.

" We thought you two went missing~" Taehyung replied.

His beautiful eyes that seemed to stare into my soul, that sounds creepy, but when you experience it you probably wanna die of fangirling. His muscles, his jawline, his hair...

Taehyung smiled at us and dragged us back to where the rest of the gang was.

" Where did you two go?" Jin asked. Hoseok laughed. " They went on a secret date~!"

" Nahh, they were standing under a tree like some dramatic movie." Taehyung said. He imitated a goodbye scene from one of the movies he watched before.
I smiled and laughed.
" Hehe, you look cute when you laugh." Taehyung said, smiling too.

I blushed. Why? I mean, he was just my best friend.

" Jungkook, did you eat yet?" Jin asked. Jungkook shook his head, and Jin immediately offered a bunch of extra food he brought.
Classic Jin, always ready for this situation though it doesn't happen often.

Jimin suddenly said, " Aish, I left something in class. I'm going to get it now."
He left quickly, Hoseok deciding to tag along. He skipped–danced happily as he caught up with Jimin.

Namjoon sighed. As he reached out to get his cup of coffee—

Whatever happened next, you should know.

" Aish, I need a broom to sweep these away. " Namjoom said, panicking. Jin sighed, making a broom magically appear.

" I'll take care of it." Jin sighed, and got to work, sweeping away the shards of glass.

Namjoon, embarrassed, quickly went to apologise for the damage he brought to this world.

Now there was only, Yoongi, Taehyung, Jungkook and me.

As Taehyung, Jungkook and I talked, Yoongi disappeared like a ninja somewhere along the line.

So only three of us was left. And it was awkward between Jungkook and I.

Thank god for Tae's existence.

" Um, I'm g-going to the b-b-bathroom for a bit..." Jungkook muttered, and quickly left.
His face was bright red, I wondered what happened to him...
And I still don't know what he wanted to say.

" You like Jungkookie right?" Taehyung asked while chewing on his food.

What's with the sudden question I don't know what to do or say someone help me should I say yes I mean he is my friend I should be honest but I may actually die if I say yes he may forcefully set us up or something but if I say no and he knows I'm lying he is going to be sad I hate it when he gets sad he looks like a depressed puppy and I just want to hug and cry with him and comfort him because Tae means so much to me and–

" Um, sorry what?" I replied, after going through LOADS OF THINKING.

He sighed. " Nothing..."

" Hm? Tae you're not like yourself, what is it?"

He shook his head.
He muttered a few words, but I heard nothing.

A few days has passed since that day. Jungkook now never had direct conversations with me, and in fact we didn't even make eye contact anymore. Heck, he doesn't even spare me a glance. During class when I ask to lend stuff, the most he says is " Okay,".
If not he just nods, or ignores me completely.
I mean, did I do something wrong?

Taehyung has been weird too. He wasn't as childish as he was, and he was getting more quiet.

Did, did those two...fight?

When we all went to seat at our usual tabke for lunch, I thought I would ask Jin.

Usually I sat with Tae, but this time, I was between Jin and Yoongi.

" Did something happen between Taehyung and Jungkook?"

He glanced at them and sighed.

" As much as I would like to tell you, I don't even know the answer myself." He said.

I sighed.

I wordlessly glanced at the two, who were quiet. Taehyung suddenly looked up.

We made eye contact, his eyes staring into mine.

My cheeks felt warm.

He quickly looked back though, and acted as if that never happened.

What was happening to my best friend?

" Hey Tae," I said, when we finished eating. Almost everyone left, instead of the two of us and Jungkook.

" Walk home with me today?" I asked. He avoided my eyes, only nodded. Jungkook seemed to stare at us, but when I glanced at him, he was stuffing his mouth with food.

There was an awkward silence as the two of us walk. Our steps crushed leaves, kicked into tiny rocks, but there were no other sounds.

Usually we would be chatting non-stop.
What happened to him?

" Tae...?" I whispered his name softly. He hummed in response, still avoiding my gaze.

" What happened between you and Jungkook?"

He froze. And I stopped along with him. I heard him sigh.

" You don't need to know."

" But I do."

I stared into his eyes. If he ran away, I'll just chase him back.

" Promise me, promise me you stay my friend. " He suddenly said, a sad look in his eyes.

What...?

" Tae... Why?" I asked.

" I'm losing everyone just because of my own selfish feelings..." He said softly. Our eye contact broke, as he stared at the ground.

Taehyung grabbed my arms gently.

" You want to know?"

I nodded.

" Jungkook has feelings for you, "

At the mention of his name, I gasped a little.
But then I lost the feeling I had. The part where my heart beat becomes faster, and the funny feeling in my tummy...
But I mean, he is my crush right?
How can I so easily lose my feelings for him...?

" But then..."

Taehyung suddenly said.

" I like you too."

The world seemed to freeze. Only time was passing for the both of us.

" W-What...?"

My eyes widened. I trembled slightly.

But then, I felt something familiar.
Very familiar.

" Yeah, but let's ignore that. We are still best friends right–"

" No, wait. " I interrupted.

" Or are we not friends anymore...?" He muttered. My heart broke.

He really was a baby puppy that just needs to be hugged everyday.

" Tae..." I began saying. He stared at me.

" Yeah, we're not friends anymore. " I said softly. I saw his eyes looking sadly at the ground.

" Because starting today, I'm your girlfriend." I suddenly blurted out.

Wait what.

WHAT IS MY INSTINCT EVEN SAYING?!

He looked at me with me shock.
But then I felt the same feeling of my heartbeat getting faster again. My cheeks felt warm.

I saw a smile, then a huge grin, and then HIS ADORABLE BOX SMILE. He giggled and gazed at me.

" Yay~!" He said, and hugged me tightly.

Looks like he was back to his normal self.

The one I guess I unknowingly fell in love with.

He didn't let go off me, making me blush even more.

" Tae, we are hugging. In the middle of the street." I said while giggling.
He let go.

" Sowwy~" He said. We continued walking back.

When we reached my doorstep, I smiled at him.

" Guess this is my stop." I said.

" Ah, before you leave..." Taehyung said.

" I love you... "

I smiled. I was feeling a mixture of feelings. Happiness, excitement, embarrassment...

So obviously I can't really talk much. And normally I can't think straight. So my instinct spoke for me again.

" And I love you too."
