Avni was nervously walking in their room waiting for Neil. She heard his footsteps and hurriedly open the door.

"Didn't you hear that King Veldreith is coming ?" She asked him while he walked past her.

"Yes I did!"

"How can you come so late then ?"

"Why can I not ?"

"Huh?..He is your father ! " She told him.

"So what ?" He replied coldly making her disbelief.

"Wow!..I have nothing left to say !"

"Please don't!...Give me some peace !" He told her while Avni left the room.

The King , Neil and Avni were sitting privately. While The king was talking to Avni fondly while Neil just there for the sake.

"I hope you are comfortable here"

"Yes, Your majesty !" She replied so politely making him so happy.

"I hope my son is taking care of you well" he added

"Yes, your Majesty" she replied

"Liar" Neil chuckled while Avni looked at Neil with her eyes widened.  While the king didn't hear anything.

"I hope you will take the honor of carrying our family line...I want to have lots of grandheirs ..."  He told her while Avni looked at him and about to reply to him politely but stopped when Neil spoke.

"For what, father ?" He asked him while they both looked at him.

"Is it fine, if my children have no superpowers?" He asked him again making Avni shocked seeing him talking back to the king.

"Neil!" The King shouted making Avni jerk in nervousness

"Isn't it why you made me marry to her ?. Even after knowing that she doesn't have superpowers?" He continued making his point. The King stood from his place while Avni stood along with him being mannerful about her gestures. Neil stood without any guilt.

"You never cared about me...Why you are caring about me having children ?!" He told him.

The King came near him and slapped him hard making Avni shocked. She bowed down in response to it and continued speaking.

"I am sorry, My Lord!. I am apologizing om behalf of my husband. I beg you to show mercy on him " She told him with her eyes sticked to the ground.

The King walked out furiously while Avni looked at the King and turned towards Neil.

"Neil ...How can you .." Before she could say he interrupted.

"I am not like you ..a puppet who nods head to whatever people say !" He told her while Avni just looked at his cheeks which has the handprints.

"Is it paining ?" She asked and about to touch his cheeks but he hold her hand stopping her.

"Don't act like my wife !" He told her while her eyes met his. He just left her making her feeling empty.

......

"Lady Avni was so worried !" DD told him putting ointment on his cheeks.

"She was the one who gave this medicine to me..." He was talking as like he is talking to the wall.

"Thank God!..you were spared from the King!"

"OMG! I can't even imagine what kind of things might have happened to you..." He added letting out his concern.

"This isn't new for me" he replied in one line to all the concern he stated.

"Yeah!..One day, The King will take your life!...and that time also...you will say ...I saw this coming " DD stated annoyed by his behaviour.

"I already see that coming" he told him with a straight face.

"Master, I know I am stepping out of my boundaries as your servant!...But I really think you should give your relationship a chance..." he told him while he looked at him.

"Yeah...You always step out of your boundaries and I kinda started ignoring you...Don't worry I will ignore this as well " he shrugged off his saying while DD sighed.

......

"I am not welcomed anywhere " a tear slipped from Avni's eyes.

"Neither my father was happy about me, nor my husband " another tear followed.

"What was I even thinking? ...My life will change for good ?" She chuckled at her own fate.

"Maybe..I don't deserve love ....Maybe I don't deserve to be happy"

"I was born as a curse ...that took away my mother's life....I am no use to anyone...Neil was right...I am a loser ! " She cried sitting near the window. She cried her heart out thinking about her mother.

Neil came late night to her room to take something. He saw her sleeping on the couch. He tried to ignore her again but stopped when he saw her sleeping in the uncomfortable position. He tried thinking whether he should do something or not. He remembered how she was complaining to Sunheri about her sore neck yesterday morning at the dining hall.

He slowly went to her and took her in his arms and made her lye down on the bed.

He noticed her tear sticken face and just looked at her. He was about to leave but stopped when he heard her saying something in sleeping.  

"I am sorry father !...I am sorry!..."

"Please don't hate me"

"Everything is my fault"

"Neil is right, I am a loser "

Neil felt guilty after hearing the last statement she uttered. He wondered what's she dreaming of. He felt sad for her seeing her uttering things.

"She would have gone through the same hell as me as she and I are the same !" He felt pity for himself and her for being born this way where no one at fault but the society to blame.
