Chapter One

The Past.

Hoseok stood at the edge of the cliff, staring out at the vast expanse of the ocean below. The wind whipped through his hair, sending it flying in all directions. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to calm his racing thoughts.

He had always known that this day would come. The day when he would have to pay the price for his actions. But he never imagined it would be like this. He never imagined that he would lose the one person he loved more than anything in the world.

As he opened his eyes, he saw her standing next to him. She was looking out at the ocean too, her long hair blowing in the wind. He reached out to touch her, but his hand passed right through her. Which meant one thing, she was no longer of this world. She had gotten her punishment before Hoseok did.

Hoseok knew that he would never be able to forget her. He knew that he would spend the rest of his days searching for her. But for now, he had to accept the harsh reality of his fate. He had to live with the knowledge that she was the demon who had caused him his life.

An Enternity Later.

Hoseok wandered through the crowded streets of Seoul, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling city. He had always loved the energy of the city, the way it seemed to pulse with life.

As he turned a corner, he bumped into someone, sending them both tumbling to the ground. He looked up to see a young woman, her long hair falling around her face. She looked up at him, her eyes wide with surprise.

"I'm so sorry," Hoseok said, scrambling to his feet. 'I wasn't paying attention.'

The woman stood up as well, brushing off her clothes. "It's okay," she said, with a cold face. "No harm done."

Hoseok couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. Her hazel eyes sparkled in the sunlight.

"Are you new to Seoul?" He asked, noticing her accent.

"Yeah, I just moved here a few weeks ago," she said.

"Well, welcome to the city," he said. "I'm Hoseok."

"Seol-ya," she said, extending her hand.

Seol-ya shook her hand, and Hoseok felt a jolt of electricity run through him. He knew that he wanted to get to know her better.

"Well, I'm sorry but I'm in a hurry. Have a good day," Seol-ya spoke and gave him a small smile. Hoseok nodded as she walked away, her hand grasping her bag tightly.

He looked at her disappearing figure and couldn't help but think about the handshake. He moved his hand, to take a look at it but a sudden ache made its way to his head. He stumbled and fell on the ground with a thud.

Screaming loudly, he attracted a few glances but no one helped him. Few minutes later, when he felt like he the ache was gone, he stood up. His hand holding onto the building.

He looked at his hand and frowned seeing a mark on his wrist. He turned his hand to the other side, to have a proper view of the mark.

It was a left wing. The mark looked incomplete and it symbolised the wing of an angel or maybe...A Demon.

This could only be one thing. Either the gods wanted him to appear infront of them or She was back.

And if She did, Hoseok had to be ready for a war.
