In shock Jaeyun stared at his ex. The evening was perfect but of course the reason for his problems had to appear right now.
"Are you seriously on a date?"
It took Jaeyun a few seconds to show a reaction. To find the right answer. "I am. You got a problem with that, Jiwoo?"
Jiwoo looked back and forth between Heeseung and Jaeyun. Then his expression suddenly changed and he looked disappointed and sad. "I want you back Jaeyun. I still love you and I know I made a mistake, but please, you have to forgive me. Please, I'm begging you."
Jaeyun scoffed. "You should have thought about that before cheating on me." He took a deep breath and grabbed Heeseungs hand. "And now, if you excuse me. My date is not over."
And with that said Jaeyun dragged a confused Heeseung to the park.
Heeseung wasn't sure what he just witnessed. But he knew it hurt Jaeyun. It was like someone turned a switch and his whole emotions turned into anger and sadness in the same moment. But the happiness was gone.
"Jaeyun, wait. Hold on.", Heeseung said and stopped.
Jaeyun turned around and looked at the older one, still holding his hand.
"Who was that guy?"
The grip on Heeseungs hand loosened and Jaeyun sighed. "My ex."
These words were the beginning of their talk while walking through the park. Jaeyun told Heeseung everything. About how he found his best friend with his ex. How he didn't show up to work. And how he didn't even want to go to the date.
He expected Heeseung to be mad but instead he was very understanding. He even assured Jaeyun he wouldn't have blamed him for not showing up. Knowing what has happened he was actually surprised the younger showed up.
After a while they just stopped talking but instead laid down on the grass near a small lake in the park. They just looked up at the stars and let their thoughts wander around. Minutes passed until Jaeyun spoke again.
"I thought something about Jiwoo and my best friend was off. They were acting weird whenever we've been meeting for months now.", he let out a sigh, "Do you think it was meant to be like this?"
"Meant to be like this? What do you mean?"
"I'm just saying, I ignored all the signs and then I meet you at the same day I break up with my boyfriend. Is it just a crazy coincidence or was it meant to happen this way?", Jaeyun turned his head to face Heeseung.
But he just stared at the sky. Almost sad. "I would've said it's just a coincidence but given the fact that I broke up with my fiancee on Friday as well... I believe it's meant to be..."
Jaeyun was visibly shocked and taken by surprise. "Are you serious?"
Heeseung didn't answer but it wasn't needed. The sad expression on his face was enough.
Jaeyun had questions. But he knew asking them would be wrong in that moment. So he stayed quiet.
Just like earlier they were in silence. No words were needed. And just like that they both thought about how meeting each other must have been meant to be.

I'm sorry for uploading this chapter just now. I've been busy yesterday and actually forgot to update.
And I'm sorry, this chapter isn't the way it was supposed to be. I'm just very tired and wrote this while having a headache.
