Rick's blue eyes widened when he saw Felicia running towards Imhotep, who was trying to kill Evelyn. " Felix!" He shouts, watching his younger sister grab the other male's arm and hug it.

" Stop! Please, stop!" Rick heard Felicia beg Imhotep in Modern Arabic with tears falling from her bright green eyes.

' Why?' Rick internally asked, looking at Felicia in disbelief. He couldn't believe his younger sister was willing to risk her life for Evelyn.

" Bahiti." Rick heard Imhotep call Felicia that name while looking at her with sad and loving light brown eyes.

' Why is he calling her that?' Rick internally asked, feeling conflicted.

Rick's blue eyes blinked when he saw Felicia and Imhotep converse. He noticed that the other male would look at Evelyn with hatred as though she was the one that cursed him with eternal death.

" My father was a talented, respected Archaeologist! He was not a murderer! He was not the type to sentence someone to eternal death! You must have the wrong person!" Rick heard Evelyn shout at Imhotep in Modern Arabic. He knew well what everyone was saying since the Medjai taught him the language during his time in Egypt.

" Of course, you will defend your precious father, Your Highness. You were not there in that chamber when your father sentenced me to eternal death that awful night. Because of him, I could not be with the love of my life for many centuries! If it were not for my Lord and Father, I would not be here standing next to my beautiful Desert Flower!" Rick saw Imhotep look at Evelyn with fury in his eyes. However, he noticed that the other male looked at Felicia with tender and loving eyes when he mentioned the beautiful Desert Flower.

' He is looking and talking to Evelyn and Felicia as though he has known them for centuries? But, with Evelyn, it's with hatred while Felicia is with admiration.' Rick internally speaks.

Rick's blue eyes narrowed when he saw Imhotep wrap his arm around Felicia's waist and hold her close. He felt helpless when he watched his younger sister beg the other male to let her go. He heard his voice shouting at Imhotep to let go of Felicia. And the sound of gunshots caused his vision to focus clearly.

" Rick! Isa!" Felicia cried, looking scared. She held her hand to Rick and her loved ones, feeling helpless.

Rick felt paralyzed when he saw the massive sand heading in his and the other's direction. He looked forward and saw Beni grinning like the Chesire Cat while disappearing with Imhotep, Felicia, and a guy he didn't know.

" Ricardo! Come here right now!" Rick heard Isabella cry. He felt himself getting control of his body and turned to see his older sister looking at him with a scared gaze while clinging to Ardeth. Not wanting to lose another sister, he ran towards her, held her close, and disappeared with the others before the sand swallowed them whole.

Rick gasped for air when he realized he was drowning in the bathtub. He sits and leans against the tub. He rubbed his face and sighed, looking at the water with mixed emotions.

" Felix," Rick murmured. " I am so sorry." He lifts his head and stares at the ceiling. " First, Mom died because of me. Second, Dad is in a coma because of me. And third, because of my foolish actions, you got kidnapped." He hits his head against the bathtub and winces.

Rick's stomach growling grabbed his attention, letting him know that he is starting to get hungry. He gets out of the bathtub, unclogs it, and watches the water gets drained.

A knock on the door caused Rick to raise an eyebrow. He grabbed a cream-colored towel and wrapped it around his waist. He takes his clothes and throws them in the dirty basket.

" I'm coming," Rick mumbled. He turns around and walks towards the door. He unlocks the door and opens it, seeing Serena standing in the hallway.

Serena's bright blue eyes intently stared at Rick's dark blue eyes.

" Hey." Serena cracked a smile. " I got these clothes for you." She held the clothes in her arms while eyeing Rick's abs.

Rick's blue eyes gleamed, and he smirked. " You like?" He teased and chuckled when he saw a blush on Serena's fair cheeks.

" I didn't notice those before. Did you get those recently?" Serena teases while giving the clothes to Rick. " Those belonged to my Dad. I think it would look good on you." She winked and turned around.

" I have always had these abs!" Rick retorts, watching Serena walk away. He amusingly shakes his head and smiles, feeling happy to have a familiar face back in his life.

Unbeknownst to Rick, Serena was blushing since seeing him with only a towel on reminded her of their time back in the Amazon jungle. She headed to her bedroom and stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She walks toward her cabinet and opens it, pulling out an envelope.

Serena's blue eyes dimmed. She opened the envelope and pulled out a letter.

" 99.9% positive. You are pregnant." Serena silently read the letter. After, she and Rick went their separate ways. A month later, she felt sick, and a friend took her to a clinic, where she found out she was expecting.

However, something horrible happened. Serena received news that the Museum she was working at wanted her to be the head of the Expedition Unit, which her father used to do. She told her sister, Evelyn, about it, but an argument broke out between them.

" I do not know why they chose you to be the head of the Expedition Unit when they could have chosen someone with more qualifications than you," Evelyn speaks while reading a manuscript.

Serena looked at Evelyn in disbelief. " Who do you have in mind?" She sarcastically asked.

" Me," Evelyn lifts her head and looks at Serena.

Serena's blue eyes blinked, and she started to laugh, causing Evelyn to glare at her.

" Sorry! Sorry! You are always stuck reading manuscripts or conversing with the tourists about facts about the Museum and such. I have never seen you as the exploring type." Serena speaks.

Evelyn bit her inner cheek, looking annoyed. She stands up and walks toward Serena.

" I have explored. You just never noticed." Evelyn speaks.

" You have? Where?" Serena asked, looking curious, but to Evelyn, she thought the other female was mocking her.

" I went exploring with a group of friends in India when I was in college," Evelyn responded, feeling proud.

" Are you sure it was exploring? It seems more like a vacation to me." Serena rubbed her chin. " Exploring comes with equipment and documentation or proof like finding a treasure or something." She remembered her first exploration and finding an Ancient Book of Languages in Jerusalem.

" I did explore!" Evelyn shouts, causing Serena to look at her. " I am an explorer! And I will show you that I am better than you when it comes to what father loved!" She shoved her twin, unaware she was standing at the edge of the stairs.

Serena's blue eyes widened, feeling gravity pulling her to the bottom of the stairs. She wrapped her arms around her stomach region, but once her back hit the stairs, she started rolling down the stairs, and her head hit the wooden floor.

When Serena woke up, the doctor and nurses looked at her with a saddened gaze.

" Is my baby?" Serena asked, but seeing the doctor frown answered her question. " No. No. NO!" She whispered and shouted with tears falling from her blue eyes.

" I am so sorry, Ms. Carnahan. The impact of the fall caused the womb to rupture with the fetus, causing your lower abdomen to bleed." The doctor explained.

Serena's gaze darkened, feeling so much anger and hatred towards Evelyn because she was the one that pushed her down the stairs.

" Would you like us to contact the father of the child?" The doctor asked.

" No need." Serena shakes her head. " The father wasn't even aware of their existence." She mumbled.

A knock on the door grabbed Serena's attention, causing her to wipe her tears away and put the letter with the envelope in the cabinet.

" I'm coming," Serena mumbled. She turns around, walks towards the door, and opens it, seeing Rick dressed in her father's attire smiling at her.

" Everything alright?" Rick stopped smiling when he saw tears in Serena's bright blue eyes.

" I'm fine." Serena faked a smile, which caused Rick to eye her warily. " Seeing you in my father's clothing made me feel emotional." She looked at him.

Rick's gaze softened. " Thanks for letting me wear this." He fixed the shirt, unaware that he had missed a button.

" You welcome." Serena softly smiled and giggled. She takes a step forward and buttons the shirt for Rick.

Rick blushed when he saw how close Serena was to him. " Thanks." He cracked a smile. " I'm starving. Let's go eat," He chuckled.

" Okay," Serena laughed. She walks out of her bedroom with Rick, and the two head towards the dining table, where everyone eats a very early breakfast since it is the next day.
