Seeing the love of his life injured and in distress made Imhotep feel furious. Watching tears fall from her crystal-like emerald green eyes and whimpering in agony ached his heart.

" Find them!" Imhotep roared in Ancient Arabic while flying through the ruins as a gust of sand.

Man-eating Scarabs awakened from their slumber, and they started to follow Imhotep.

" Find the ones that harmed your Queen!" Imhotep ordered in Ancient Arabic, sounding furious.

All the man-eating Scarabs went their separate ways to locate the ones that harmed their Lord's Desert Flower.

" Do not eat them. I must meet my prisoners before I sentence them to death!" Imhotep shouted in Ancient Arabic.

With Dr. Chamberlain and his companions, they ran with a conflicting gaze while trying their best to find the correct path to the outside world.

" What was that thing?" Henderson asked, looking and sounding confused while running with his companions.

" Have you seen scary movies, man? That thing was a mummy!" David shouted in response.

" Quiet, you two!" Dr. Chamberlain hissed while turning his head back to stare at Henderson and David. " That thing could have killed the girl already, and we are probably its next target," He firmly speaks.

" I do not want to die! I do not want to die! I do not want to die!" Beni cried while running with the scared diggers.

" I only came to dig up treasure! I did not sign up for a wrathful Mummy to dispose of us all!" One of the diggers, a Turkish-Egyptian male named Demir, shouted in Modern Arabic.

" Mummies are real?!" Beni dramatically shouted in Modern Arabic.

Demir glanced at Beni, thinking that the other male was an idiot.

" We both saw that girl awakening that Mummy! We are now cursed! That Mummy is going to kill us all," Demir firmly speaks in Modern Arabic.

" You have no faith in you at all!" Beni responded in Modern Arabic, thinking that Demir had no faith for all of them to survive Imhotep's wrath.

" Ahh!" Two masculine screams grabbed Demir and Beni's attention, and they stopped when they saw Scarabs surrounding the two diggers in front of them.

" Stop!" Demir grabs the back of Beni's shirt, and he pulls him back when he realizes what kind of bugs are surrounding his companions.

" Those bugs," Beni stared at the Scarabs warily.

" Scarabs. Man-eating beetles," Demir whispered in Modern Arabic, and he held his breath while biting his lips when he saw other Scarabs started to surround him and Beni.

Beni stared at the Scarabs with watery blue eyes. His hands tightly grasped Demir's arm, looking and feeling scared.

" Oh, Lord! Oh, God," Beni mumbled while staring down at his feet when he saw the Scarabs circling him and Demir.

Dr. Chamberlain stared at the others with widening eyes when he saw the Scarabs surrounding Beni, Demir, and the other diggers. He looked at his surroundings, seeing Henderson and David catching up to him and the others. He looks away, and he immediately sees an empty hallway.

' I am saved! I do not know where this hallway will lead me. However, I am freed from that Mummy's wrath,' Dr. Chamberlain happily tells himself, and he turns and runs towards the dark, empty hallway.

" Hey!" David shouts. He looked in disbelief when he saw Dr. Chamberlain run to a different hallway while noticing Beni, Demir, and the other diggers get surrounded by Scarabs.

" I cannot believe that bastard ditched them," David mumbled.

" At least we now know where to go. Away from those bugs," Henderson shivered, finding Scarabs disgusting.

David and Henderson were about to follow Dr. Henderson to the other hallway, but they stopped when they saw that other Scarabs were surrounding them.

" The fuck, man!" Henderson cursed when he saw and heard the Scarabs by his feet.

Beni's watery blue eyes blinked, and he turned his gaze, seeing David and Henderson trapped by the Scarabs like the rest of them. However, he noticed that Dr. Chamberlain was nowhere in sight.

' Where did he ran off to?' Beni asked, sounding confused and betrayed.

" I am going to shoot them!" Henderson snapped while pulling his gun from its holster, and he aimed it at the Scarabs.

" Same here!" David responded while pulling his gun from its holster and aiming it at the Scarabs.

" These idiots are going to get us killed," Beni hissed in Modern Arabic when he realized what Henderson and David were planning to do.

Demir follows Beni's gaze, and his dark brown eyes widened when he saw what Henderson and David were planning to do.

" Your friends are idiots. Once they shoot those Scarabs, their whole bodies will get eaten alive in seconds," Demir firmly tells Beni.

" They-They are not my friends," Beni akwardly responded.

" You might as well warn them. If those friends of yours shoot those Scarabs, these beetles will also eat us out of anger," Demir glanced at the Scarabs.

Beni's blue eyes widened in horror, and he turned his gaze to Henderson and David.

" You idiots! Don't shoot! You will have us all killed if you do!" Beni shouts.

" I do not care if you lots die. I am out of here!" Henderson shouts in response, and he shoots at the Scarabs.

Beni and Demir held their breath when they heard the gunshot, but their eyes widened when they saw sand in the shape of a hand catch the bullet and crushed it with ease.

" What the?" Henderson stared at the sand-like hand in disbelief.

The two other diggers paled when they saw the sand start to transform into a human-like figure.

" The Demon of Hamunaptra, Imhotep," The two other diggers mumbled in Modern Arabic.

Demir frowned when he heard his companions mumbling. He warily stared at the sand, which began to turn solid, and then turned into a human wearing worn linen from head to toe.

" What do you want with us?" Henderson glared at Imhotep while aiming his gun at him.

David warily stared at Imhotep while aiming his gun at him.

Imhotep's light brown eyes narrowed hidden behind the worn linen when he saw the guns in Henderson and David's grasp.

" Are you the ones that hurt my Queen?" Imhotep asked, causing Henderson and David to raise their eyebrows since they do not understand Ancient Arabic.

" What?" Henderson asked.

" Both of them. Those two shot the girl," Demir whispered in Ancient Arabic, knowing Imhotep would hear him.

Imhotep growled when he heard that Henderson and David were the ones that hurt the love of his life.

" Is it me, or did the air suddenly got chilly?" Beni asked in English, looking and sounding nervous.

Demir's dark brown eyes intently stared at Imhotep's back.

" He is angry," Demir whispers in English.

Imhotep held one arm out to Henderson. His light brown eyes narrowed, and he stared at the other male intently.

Henderson's blue eyes widened when he felt his whole body get lifted off of the ground, and he got sent flying in Imhotep's direction.

" Henderson!" David shouts while his dark brown eyes widen in horror when he sees Henderson suddenly fly in Imhotep's direction.

Beni, Demir, and the other two diggers stared at Imhotep with a conflicting gaze.

" We are leaving! You all are going to die!" The two diggers shouted in Modern Arabic.

Beni and Demir turned their gaze, and they watched the two diggers run through the hoard of Scarabs.

" Should we follow them?" Beni softly asked in Modern Arabic, sounding nervous and scared.

" I am staying. Maybe I can bargain with the Mummy to save my life," Demir mumbled in Modern Arabic.

" How are you going to do that?" Beni asked in Modern Arabic, looking and sounding in disbelief.

Demir turns his gaze to Beni, and his dark brown eyes intently stare at the other male's blue eyes.

" The easy route, which many would consider a dangerous one, is having him believe I am his slave," Demir responded in Modern Arabic.

Beni stared at Demir with a conflicting gaze.

" Ack!" A choking sound grabbed the two males' attention, and they turned, seeing Imhotep holding Henderson by the neck.

" What-What is he going to do with him?" Beni asked in Modern Arabic, looking and sounding scared.

Demir warily stared at Imhotep's back.

" Punish him for hurting the girl. I guess," Demir whispered in Modern Arabic.

" Let go of me," Henderson stuttered in English while struggling to get out of Imhotep's grasp.

Imhotep grabbed the worn linen from his other hand, and he pulled it back to reveal a face of a hungry and furious twenty-six-year-old.

Henderson's scared blue eyes intently stared at Imhotep's cold, light brown eyes.

" You have angered the son and loyal follower of Osiris," Imhotep speaks in Ancient Egyptian.

Demir's dark brown eyes widened when he heard that Imhotep was the son of one of Egypt's gods.

" What is he saying?" Beni whispered in English.

" Imhotep is telling your companion that he has angered the son and loyal follower of Osiris," Demir softly responded in English.

" You have harmed a daughter of Hathor. My fiancee. For that, I must punish you by taking your soul," Imhotep speaks in Ancient Arabic while snarling at Henderson.

Demir froze when he heard that the girl David shot was the daughter of one of Egypt's goddesses.

" That girl...she is the daughter of a goddess," Demir speaks in English while turning his gaze to Beni.

" What?" Beni asked in English, looking and sounding confused.

" Those friends of yours are dead!" Demir hissed in English. " A child of a god/goddess is considered sacred. If one gets harmed or killed, the one who did it will get punished by death," He explained.

Beni's blue eyes widened, looking and feeling in disbelief.

' It can't be. That girl is O'Connell's sister. She can't be a child of a goddess,' Beni tells himself, sounding conflicted.

' Then again, that girl is beautiful and looks and acts nothing like O'Connell,' Beni bites his lips, looking and feeling scared, thinking that Felicia is indeed a child of a goddess.

Imhotep opened his mouth wide, and he started to suck the soul out of Henderson.

" Ahhh!" Henderson screamed, looking and feeling scared for his life.

Demir and Beni watched with a horrifying gaze when they saw Henderson's body getting wrinkling.

David's dark brown eyes widened, staring at Imhotep with a horrified gaze when he saw the other male take Henderson's soul out of his body.

Satisfied, Imhotep drops Henderson's wrinkled body to the sandy ground.

" Eat him," Imhotep speaks in English now that Henderson's soul helped him regained the language.

Some of the Scarabs near Imhotep crawled towards Henderson's wrinkled body, and they started to devour him.

Everyone held their breaths when they saw Imhotep cracked his neck and then knuckles. He then snapped his fingers, and everyone watched the worn linen disappeared from his body and got replaced with royal Ancient Egyptian clothing.
