Jungkook's pov

I had reached the building where the meeting was. the guards took me to a conference room. I was now waiting for the other people to come. the door opened and about 5 to 6 people came in. The CEO of the company sat in front of me... mr. Lee with whom I wanted to collaborate was sitting beside him. besides him were the important people from the company.

me: hello, mr. Lee, mr. song.

after all the formalities, I told them that I wanted our company to collaborate with mr. Lee and sponsor his next drama too. after discussing the deal, we fixed it. the deal was made.

me: can I talk with mr. Lee for a few seconds? in private?

they were unsure but mr. Lee ensured he was okay with it. everybody but us both left the room. I closed the door and sat in front of him.

mr. Lee: so, mr. jeon... what did you want to talk about?

me: call me jungkook.

Mr. Lee: then you should call me Jong Suk.

me: Jong Suk, I know this is a really personal question and it could make you awkward but... are you single?

jong suk: yeah. currently, I am not in any relationship.

me: okay. thank you. I hope to see you in our company soon.

jong suk: why did you ask me if I was single?

me: it's just that I would have to take extra care of our collaboration if you were in a relationship. you know the rumors and all.

jong suk: you couldn't have asked me this in front of others?

me: I wanted to ask you something more but I decided against it.

jong suk: Okay... can I ask you something?

me: yes...

jong suk: nothing... I'll take my leave now.

me: no, please ask. feel free, I won't feel bad or anything.

jong suk: how's your wife? is she happy?

I smiled. so he did still care about ji-eun.

me: you know her?

I knew he knew her but wanted to listen to his excuse.

jong suk: she was my psychologist a few years ago.

me: she's good. she's happy. would you like to meet her? you know, for sake of old times?

jong suk: no. it's alright.

me: okay. anyways, let's meet for the shoot.

and so, I went home...  HOME. I love that word. I had used that word after 4 years. I always went to my house. never home. but now that bun is there, waiting for me... it is home.

when I reached, he welcomed me with a hug and a kiss. we went and I freshened up. we sat down for dinner.

me: what do we have for dinner?

taehyung: I made japchae!!!

me: I bet it's really tasty.

we started eating. while chatting, he asked me something.

taehyung: who was the meeting with today?

me: lee jong-suk.

taehyung: why suddenly? isn't he an actor, why would you collaborate with him?

me: his collaborating with us has two reasons. firstly, it would be great advertising for our product. he is really famous after all.

taehyung: what's the second reason?

me: don't you think ji-eun should get her happily ever after as well?

taehyung: you are gonna make them together?

me: nope. that's fate's job. my duty was to make them meet somehow. which they are. ji-eun is the head of the project and will be handling everything. they are bound to meet. whether they end up together or not is up to fate. 

taehyung: but what if something goes wrong? like jong suk may not be single. ji-eun would be even more heartbroken.

me: jong suk is single. he himself told me so. and he still cares about her.

taehyung: I hope everything goes right between them.

me: me too. She deserves it...
