As Fate sits down beside me, the dynamic in the room seems to change.

The reason we are here is still unknown to me, so I keep my eye on Fate, trying to get a hint out of him. Whatever the reason is, it's serious. All the mischief and play that I'm used to seeing is barren from his gaze, as he concentrates on who sits in front of him. It takes a lot for me to drag my gaze to see who he is concentrating on. It's fascinating seeing him as clear at a blank slate, but I'm curious to see who can make him look like that.

Karma.

Perhaps Fate is just as shocked by the pureness of her eyes as I am. Or maybe he sees what's behind it, that suggests her abilities, her namesake.

"Considering we haven't all been in the same room for such a long time, you would think we have a lot to talk about," Sinful comments, clearly attempting to slice the tension in half. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere, though. That's what happens when there is immense amount of power in one room.

"This was Fate's idea, wasn't it?" Death remarks from her end of the table. T remains quiet beside her, although, he looks less amused by everything.

I glance back at Fate, who doesn't give anything away.

"It's not my relation that this concerns," he replies tightly, and everyone's gaze swoops over to Sinful. He raises his eyebrow in response, yet doesn't look offended. Maybe family to these people doesn't mean the same as it does to mortals. Well, considering they are all millions of years old...Are any of their family still alive?

"So, this is about my sister, then?"

Death makes some noise of amusement, leaning back further in her chair. "As if there is any other reason for us all to come together. Unless of course, you would have preferred us to do this behind your back?"

I would have preferred it, but then again, I have no reason to voice my opinions. Plus, the reason why I don't want him here is because I'm afraid of him. It's not hard to tell, even just from his presence, that he is terrifying.

"Maybe I was foolish for thinking Fate wanted us to get together for a few drinks and a catch up," Sinful mutters. There's nothing serious in his statement.

"You know this has to happen," Fate says slowly, sweeping his eyes across the table to encompass everyone into this. Death continues to look nothing but bored, while Karma gives nothing away. Both of these females look silent and deadly, listening to the argument between Fate and Sinful, seeming to take away what they want from it.

Sinful shrugs, stealing back my attention. "She is getting a little problematic, isn't she?"

"You could say that," T say shrewdly.

I feel even more useless in this situation, not knowing what Sinful's sister has to do with anything. From looking at him, I can only imagine the woman who grew up beside him. By the way they discuss her, she does seem just as fear inducing to them as he does to me.

"Well then, if you see her so much as a threat, then what's the plan from here?" he questions, tracing his finger over a small scar on his hand, as if out of habit. From where I sit, I can't see definitively what it is from.

"She's your sister," Fate says, "we were hoping that perhaps you knew. You did grow up next to her."

Sinful chuckled, shaking his head.

"You're asking the wrong sibling for help. I may sympathise for you immortals, and work with you, but when it comes to the rest of my siblings, I have to step back. If I could spend the rest of my life away from them, that would be lovely," Sinful says across the table, even coming to look at me at one point.

"That's exactly why you're necessary here, idiot," Karma suddenly snaps. "You think we all actually want you here? Those stupid kids are your younger siblings, so be a good big brother and reign them the hell in."

We all sit there for a moment, absorbing her words.

I lean over to Fate in the moment where everyone is too stunned to question anything. "What is going on right now?"

"We are discussing Sinful's sister," He replies lowly. "She has a particularly bad influence over many of the immortals that live in these lands. We are meeting here to discuss how to stop her, if you hadn't figured that already."

I frown slightly as I return back to the conversation they are having across the rest of the table, feeling more involved in what is going on. I'm glad I don't know who his sister really is, while another part of me wants to see the kind of influence that she has. Especially since it's more than the immortals at the table, who I consider to be the most powerful in existence.

"I'm not talking to Ira," Sinful continues, his voice as tense as his shoulders. "Not only does she get on my nerves, but she wouldn't want to speak to me either. In her opinion, I'm old and cranky - she won't listen to me."

Karma's voice drags my attention to her, to find she is looking straight at me. "Her name means wrath. If you ever meet her, call her that. She needs a slap in the face sometimes."

I'm left stunned, unsure of how to answer that.

"As I was saying, the answer is no, I'm not speaking to her. You will have to find another way to convey your messages," Sinful muttered, falling back into his chair as if a signal of finality for this conversation.

For whatever reason, I open my big mouth. "Are your sibling's immortals?"

"Not quite," Sinful replies, with slightly narrowed eyes.

"They are what we call spirits," Death says for him. "They are living, but not in the way we are. They have access to untouchable realms outside of this place, and also, to the minds of large groups of people, which is what our problem is with Ira, one of Sinful's sisters."

Oh. How does one go about killing a spirit? I want to ask, but I'm too afraid of the answer.

When I look across the table, everyone seems plagued by the idea of this Ira girl. T is looking down, tracing his hand across the wood of the polished table, Fate's jaw is clenched beyond belief, Death still looks perpetually bored and Karma...who knows. By the sounds of it, Ira isn't Sinful's only sibling either. More of adaptations of him? Sounds like a nightmare to me.

I'm the only one in the room that slightly jumps when I hear the door opening. When I glance up, I see an unfamiliar figure coming through the door, adorned in a beautiful white gown, which completely contrasts to her glistening dark hair that she has braided back until it reaches just below her ribs.

My jaw drops open without my consent.

"Apologies for being late," she says airily, closing the door after her. "It was hard to get away."

Another figure follows after her, with short, cropped hair, and hardened eyes. This woman has seen a lot, I can tell, without even having to hear her open her mouth. What I notice, is her hand brushing against her hip, where she has some kind of black handled weapon on show.

Fate seems all too happy to see his female.

"Millicent, it's great to see you," he says, swiftly getting to his feet. "I apologise for starting this early, I wouldn't have if we had known you would make it."

I know Millicent. Well, I know of her, and her influence over certain Pack's in the Quarter. People pray to her, as the Moon Goddess. She answers people, giving them what they wish in ways completely unique to each individual. Apparently, she does anyway. Not everyone believes in her. It's either her, Fate, or nothing at all. I choose the latter growing up.

No immortal is good.

As she sits between Karma and Death, I see her glance at Sinful. Following her gaze, I'm surprised at his reaction. Almost all the blood has run from his face, as he stares back at her, his mouth slightly parted in utter shock. I'm confused seeing it, until Fate leans over to whisper in my ear again.

"Millicent is Sinful's mate. He hasn't seen her in a long time. Usually she remains trapped by the Moon, doing her job of course. Even though they are mates, he tries his best to avoid her," Fate murmurs, before he repositions himself in his chair.

Oh.

"This is Lucy. She looks after me," Millicent says gently, speaking about the staunch woman who stands behind her. Lucy doesn't look as if she wants to sit at all, all the ready to fight anyone who even touches her Goddess.

"This is my assistant," Fate says, nodding to me. "She will be keeping her name to herself."

Millicent nods, understanding. "What did I miss?"

"Sinful disagreeing on meeting with his sister. All we need is for her to go back to the hell place she came from, yet, Sinful is too afraid of her to talk to her for just a few seconds," Karma growls, ensuring Sinful understood how much she detests him.

Sinful is quick to cut in. "I'm not afraid of my baby sister."

Millicent seems to find this amusing, smiling slightly behind her hand. I hate myself for doing the same, seeing clearly how worried Sinful is that something like that would be said in front of his mate. From what I have observed from him and Millicent's relationship is that it seems fresh and completely untouched. These two aren't used to each other, and it's amusing.

Even for Millicent.

"Well then, you'll be fine with meeting with her then," Death says slyly, "I mean, only for a few moments."

Sinful takes a while to answer. Brooding.

"Fine, I'll contact her, but only so you can all deal with it," Sinful say irritably. "One of you can join me."

Before anyone can volunteer, which I'm sure there would be a lack of votes, Fate cuts in, smiling down at me in a taunting manner.

"My assistant will go with you," he says softly.

Everyone at the table seems just as surprised as me.

"She's been training her whole life for something like this."

So I won't be able to update Fate tonight on Radish. I'm currently away from home for the weekend and writing has been super hard to accomplish.

I can't wait until writing is super regular over the summer as it's going to be my full time job.

Luckily I only have another week before exam leave. Then it's over. Yay.
