"I'll never leave' ... 'nevermind'
our field of dreams, engulfed in fire
your arsons match, your somber eyes
and I still see it, until I die
... you're the loss of my life"
"somewhere in the haze,
got a sense I'd been betrayed"
FATAL LOVE
" i know what it's like to love what ruins you"
𝔅arty ℭrouch 𝔍unior was presumably not a nice guy ( or that's just what everyone thought ), he was a shattered mirror, reflecting only broken pieces of the truth. On first impression he was unpleasant and too honest for some people's liking; he said what needed to be said without the fear of hurting others. Barty was unpredictable; no one could ever be sure what the boy's true intentions were, it was as if pieces of him were scattered, unable to be pieced back together. Barty was far from simple, his mind was a tangled mess of thoughts, there was almost always some sort of inner conflict and conflicting feelings.
His mother, Farah Crouch, wasn't present, she was a ghost that never seemed to haunt him, she had died during childbirth. Barty was never upset about it; Farah was a stranger, how could he grieve someone he never met? The boy never spoke about his mother; he rarely even spoke about his father. Family was always a touchy subject for Barty, a locked chest he never wanted to open.
His father, Barty Crouch Senior, worked for the Ministry of Magic, he loved control, and he loved the control he had over his son. He pretended he cared, though the control he had overshadowed his support. The warmth was rare, out of reach for Barty Jr to grasp, leading to the young boy living a quite miserable life.
Maybe that explained why he joined Voldemort.
Voldemort, the dark lord, or he who must not be named. Wizards and Witches feared his name, as if it would curse them for eternity. The dark lord and his army, the Death Eaters, were a black hole, consuming and destroying everything in their way, no matter who or what it was. Muggles (non-magical people) were nothing more than a simple sacrifice for the death eaters to prove their loyalty to their lord. To become an offical death eater, Voldemort's followers each had to kill a muggle family to prove their loyalty. Once the family was completely wiped out, they were marked as Death Eaters, forever loyal to their Dark Lord.
It was on his eighteenth birthday when Barty was assigned his muggle family, the Noonans. They were nothing more than sacrifices; their fates were sealed without them knowing, their deaths would be nothing but proof of someone else's loyalty. They were just a small, innocent family, two children and their parents, living in the quiet town of Portree, Scotland. Along with their names and location, Barty also received the deadline, the family must be killed by the 29th of July, or he would be seen as disloyal.
Most Death Eaters had finished a week after receiving the assignment; it was a simple task for them. Most Death Eaters' loyalty was strong enough that they didn't have to think before they killed. Barty had never been frightened at the thought of taking someone's life. Death happens, and that's part of life, life goes on, and people move on, it was that simple.
But as soon as he turned 18, the earth shifted beneath him; the realisation of the fact that he actually had to kill someone was overwhelming. Ever since he decided to follow the dark lord, his loyalty was strong, it was a deep rooted tree, which no matter how fierce the winds tried to bend it, it remained the same. But somewhere in the back of his mind he had to ask himself, would he really kill an innocent family?
The eldest of the two children, Adelia Noonan, was a sweet girl. She was always eager to talk to whoever, whenever. For Adelia, making people happy was like a ray of sunshine during a thunderstorm. Making people smile was far better than any other gift she could receive, it was a treasure way more valuable than gold.
Barty was terrified to do what must be done; the thoughts gripped him like cold hands dragging him under the water. He was scared because Adelia was his age, still young, still innocent; she hadn't yet been touched by the darkness of the world. She had nothing to do with magic; she didn't even know it existed—yet, it would be the thing that claimed her life.
Barty was conflicted: would he stay loyal to his lord, who cast a shadow over him, or should he question his path and do what is right?
Adelia Noonan ( Emilia Clarke )
don't let this darkness fool you
all lights turned off, can be turned on.
Barty Crouch ( Maxence Danet-Fauvel )
nothing happened in the way I wanted,
every corner of this house is haunted.
"we've traveled the seas, we've ridden the stars
we've seen everything from Saturn to mars
as much as it seems, like you own my heart,
It's astronomy, we're two worlds apart."
