Kyle and Tegan were in her apartment, waiting for the clock to strike twelve when he went to look for something the kitchen

Tegan: Luv were are you going?

Kyle: Wait a minute! Oh and close your eyes

Tegan: *Giggles* What do you have in mind now? - she covered her eyes with her hands

Kyle: Now you can open your eyes - she uncovered her eyes and saw him  back with a silly birthday hat and a chocolate pastry with a candle on it

Tegan: Awwww thank you so much! - she gave him a tight hug

Kyle: Now ask for three wishes - Tegan took a moment and then blew the candle

Kyle: And? What did you ask for?

Tegan: If I tell you it won't become true - she said in a teasing tone

Kyle: Aww. Okay that's fair

Tegan: Although I will say I saved one because I have a lad better than I could ever wish for with me - she nuzzled her head on his shoulder

Kyle: I guess I could say the same - he caressed her cheek before noticing a goofy although cute smile on her face

Kyle: As for your first birthday act is there something you'd want to do? - he jokingly tilted his head

Tegan: Actually I do - she teasingly walked her fingers on his abs

Kyle; And what would that be? - he played along

Tegan: This! - she cuddled on him and wrapped her boyfriend in a big hug

Tegan: Love ya - she planted a kiss on his neck

Kyle: Love you too - he kissed back - you're going to love this day, I'm making sure of that

Tegan: Awww! Mind if we have a good ol fashioned Harry Potter marathon?

Kyle: Sure! Mind if we take a selfie?

Tegan: Right now? I'm kinda a mess luv

Kyle: Don't worry, we both are and that's exactly why I want to, plus messy you is still adorably hot

Tegan: *giggles* Don't lie now!

Kyle: I swear I'm not! - he threw his arms up in defense - I actually think that

Tegan: *giggles* Okay then - she then snapped a picture and Kyle put it on his Instagram

@prezkmatt: Happy Birthday to my wizard powerpuff girl. You know how much you mean to me but just in case you forget here's a reminder: I love you from the very bottom of my heart

He then showed her the caption for her opinion

Kyle: And? Pretty good in it? - he asked with a nervous smile on his face

Tegan: Aww it's lovely! - she pinched his cheek - now what do you say, shall we start the movie?

Kyle: Can't think of a better way of starting the birthday of the little wizard than doing this- he hugged back as they watched movies until falling asleep

Kyle: Sweet dreams Tegs - he kissed her forehead - *whispering* You're the best thing in my life

*10 AM*
Tegan woke up, still in her couch, when she heard the sound of boiling oil in a pan

Tegan: *sleepy* Huh? What are you doing luv?

Kyle: Making you a full breakfast to start off your day, want to join me?

Tegan: *sniffs* That smells nice, can I have a bite? - she leaned her head on him and opened her mouth

Kyle: *giggles* Awwww sure! - he then put a fork full of white pudding in her mouth

Tegan: Delicious! Thank you so much luv - she then took a seat in the dinning table and started eating her breakfast

Kyle: And? Verdict? - he waited until Tegan finished eating

Tegan: Amazing! Thanks chef

Kyle: Always a pleasure to put a smile on that face - he pecked her cheeks and kissed her in the lips - is there anything special you want to do?

Tegan: I was thinking of going to the Bay for lunch and staying around, sounded like a neat plan for me

Kyle: I think it's a great plan indeed, anything else?

Tegan: Well my family is coming by at night but that's about it, I have to admit I miss Kota, Candice and the rest - she sighed

Kyle: Aww I get you, we'll contact them somehow okay? - he put his palms on her cheeks

Kyle's mind: Don't worry, I got this in the bag

Tegan: I hope so, but for now you want to get your arse handed to you in Tekken?

Kyle: I'll almost feel bad when I make you lose, key word almost - he teased

Tegan: Oh yeah? Get in here you're getting Molly whooped - she fired back

Kyle: *chuckles* What the fuck was that?

Tegan: *giggles* Dunno, sounded better in my head - she blushed - but regardless get over here you're going down!

*2 PM*
After having lunch at a pasta restaurant near the bay they went for a walk by the seashore when Kyle put his arm around her and kissed the top of her head

Tegan: *giggles* That was unexpected but thanks!

Kyle: Just wanted to give my beautiful girlfriend a little thank you

Tegan: Aww, but why? - she tilted her head

Kyle: Because never in my wildest dreams I could have hoped to end with a girl like you. After many shitty relationships it gets to a point where you don't know if "the one" is going to come. But then you showed up in my life and that's the best thing that could ever happen to me - Tegan then wrapped him in a hug

Tegan: I feel exactly the same, I had so many relationships go down the shitter I was ready to give up on them

Kyle: I can't believe guys let a girl like you walk away - he then noticed Tegan playing with a lock of hair - what's up love?

Tegan: Well, this is pretty big to tell.....

Kyle: It's okay, no matter what it is I'll still love you..... - Tegan then cut him off

Tegan: It wasn't just boys. I dated girls as well and both genders sucked in relationships as much as the other

Kyle: So what you're saying is you're bi? - he asked, pretty surprised

Tegan: Yes. Does that change anything in how you see me?

Kyle: Not at all - they then took a seat in the sand - Tegs I love you exactly how you are and this doesn't change that at all, to me you're still the same sweet girlfriend I had before you told me this. If anything I feel even more honored now

Tegan: How come? - she asked in slight amusement

Kyle: Because you could have chosen about anyone in this world and still went with me - he dragged her down and showered her in kisses

Tegan: *giggles* And I wouldn't change it for anything in this world - she curled a ball on him

Kyle: Anything? - he teased

Tegan: Absolutely anything you humpty - she booped his nose

Kyle: Awwww love you too - he booped back

Tegan: Hey that's my thing! - she looked at him with a cute pout and folded her arms like a spoiled child

Kyle: *giggles* You stink cuteness you knew that? - he playfully stirred her hair before planting a kiss on her forehead

Tegan: My mum says I'm very sweet - she said in s childish tone

Kyle: Your mum is spot on. Speaking of your mum and co, when are they crashing your place?

Tegan: Around 6 PM, why?

Kyle: Because I was thinking of going to my apartment to get cleaned up for the party, want to be presentable for the family

Tegan: You'll be fine. Want me to join you over there?

Kyle: I'm sorry but I'll have to pass on that one

Tegan: Aww, why not?

Kyle: Because if you come with me it'd ruin a surprise I have saved for you, you got me? - he put two fingers on her chin as she nodded

Kyle's mind: And you're going to freaking love this

Tegan: You got enough money for a cab? You're going to need it

Kyle: Oh yeah yeah, see you late mate?

Tegan: Late mate. Can't wait for that surprise! - she said in clear excitement before Kyle stopped a cab and got in

Kyle: To the airport please

*5:45 PM*
Kyle made it back to Tegan's apartment but this time he wasn't alone, instead he was joined by a group of people. He was about to ring the doorbell when he felt a tap on his shoulder

?: So how do we do this?

Kyle: I enter, tell her my surprise is on the way and you come ring the bell then, got it?

??: Got it. She's going to love this so much

Kyle: Yup. I really appreciate you could come

???: Hey man, what are friends for?

Kyle: Best friends we could ever wish for. Now go hide - he then rang and Tegan rushed to open the door

Tegan: Hi again luv! - they kissed - how's everything?

Kyle: Pretty neat. I just came earlier in case you needed some help with anything, anyone else arrived yet?

Tegan: Nope, just the two of us. I haven't forgotten about the surprise you told me about before - a smile showed in her face

Kyle: It should be arriving now, just wait - they then heard the doorbell ring again

Tegan: Huh? More people already? - she asked, clearly surprised

Kyle: I say we go open at least - they then went to the door and Tegan opened to see Dakota, Candice and Johnny

Dakota/Candice/Johnny: Happy birthday!

Tegan: Oh my! - she then buried her face in her hands and started crying tears of joy

Candice: Aww don't cry! - seeing her friend cry got her emotional too

Dakota: Look what you've done! - she told her best friend in a joking tone

Tegan: *sobbing* I'm so sorry it's just i can't believe you're actually here and.... - she then got choked up by her tears

Johnny: I say someone needs a group hug - everyone embraced Tegan in a hug

Tegan: Thank you so so so much guys you have no idea how much this means - she tried to stop tearing up

Dakota: Of course we do ya dummy! That's why we had been planning this for a while now

Tegan: Really? - she then glared at her boyfriend - and you didn't tell me about it?

Candice: *giggles* Don't do him like that! This was all so we could make your day a bit more special

Johnny: Yeah, plus I had never been here either so bonus points

Candice: Johnny! - she told her husband

Johnny: What did I say now?

Tegan: *giggles* You don't have an idea how much I missed y'all

Kyle: We do, and this is exactly why we're doing this

Tegan: Aww you guys! - she then stood on her tippy toes waiting for a kiss - any help here?

Kyle: Oh! Didn't see you there - he joked and picked her up before they kissed

Dakota: Get a room!

Tegan: *chuckles* Shut up Dakotski! - she then turned her attention back to her boyfriend

Kyle: Safe to say you liked the surprise   right?

Tegan: I love it, thank you so so so much! - she tightened her hug on him

Kyle: Anything for you - he couldn't hold back a smile from sheer happiness and hugged back

*2 hours later*
Kyle was chatting with the Garganos, Getting in touch after not seeing each other for a while now, when he felt a tap on his shoulder

Tegan: Luv?

Kyle: What's up? Having a good time?

Tegan: Lovely time. There's something who wants to meet you

Kyle: Oh! Sure - he was a bit surprised by Tegan's words but still accepted

Tegan: Neat. Where are you Noah? - a little child showed up

Noah: I'm here auntie Tegan! What's up?

Tegan: You told me before you wanted to meet my boyfriend so here he is, say hi Noah!

Noah: Hi!

Kyle: Hi buddy! - he offered a fist bump that the kid accepted - I'm Kyle, your Aunt's boyfriend

Noah: So you'd be my uncle then? - the boy tilted his head

Kyle: Awww. Yes you could say so

Noah: Neat!

Tegan: *giggles* Noah, please tell your uncle what you were telling me before - a smile showed in her face, knowing what was coming next

Noah: Oh yeah! Auntie Tegan let me choose what tattoo she gets next

Kyle: Really? That's so sweet! And what did you choose Noah?

Noah: A superhero dino!

Kyle: *chuckles* That's awesome! - he said in amusement and saw Tegan also smile due to the silly yet sweet nature of the encounter before feeling another tap on his shoulder

Kyle: Everything alright? - he turned around to see Dakota waiting for him

Dakota: Yeah. I got it, shall we put it now?

Kyle: You really got it?

Dakota: Pinkie promise. Shall we do it now?

Kyle: Of course - he then walked to the TV as Dakota plugged her phone in the TV - May I have everyone's attention for a minute?! - the rest of the people turned their attention to him

Kyle: Thank you. As we all know we're here to celebrate the birthday of a wonderful person today, dare I say my special person in this world

Everyone: Awwww

Kyle: *Giggles* Yeah. But back to the point, since we're honoring such a special person today, here with Dakota, say hi Kota

Dakota: Hi! - she sheepishly smiled and waved

Kyle: With Dakota we thought, what could be a proper gift for someone we love like you? To make things short and sweet we know how much of a Captain Marvel fan you are so we decided to reach out to her, via Cameo, to wish you a happy birthday. Now Dakota if you will

She put play to the Cameo and none other than Brie Larson was in the screen

Tegan: Oh my fucking God - she had to try her hardest not to cry in joy again

Brie: Hi Tegan! I was contacted by your friends earlier and they told me you're a big fan of Captain Marvel and how it's helped you to push through your injury and I was moved by it, it means the absolute world. Anyways i just wanted to wish you the best birthday possible for you to spend with your loved ones because I'm sure you deserve it. Happy birthday Tegan! - the video then ended and Tegan was sobbing again

Tegan: This is so amazing! Thank you so so so much guys this is the best birthday ever! - she jumped into Kyle's arms

Kyle: And you Absolutely deserve it. Happy birthday love - they kissed one more time as everyone cheered
