*Five days later*
*10 AM*
Tegan and Kyle were in their flight to Oakland, since they were visiting Kyle's family as he had promised. As they were still in the plane an announcement was made

Pilot: Ladies and Gentlemen we're soon to land in our destination of Oakland...... - Kyle stopped paying attention to it, knowing the rest and saw Tegan still asleep on his shoulder

Kyle: *whispering* Tegs, love we're about to land

Tegan: Ugh, but I'm knackered. Can I sleep a bit longer? - she said, sleepy and resting her head on his shoulder

Kyle: *giggles* Come on love, I'm not going to carry you around like a kid - he planted a soft kiss on top of her head

Tegan: *yawns* Why not? - she pouted, still sleepy and messy haired

Kyle: *Giggles* Because you're not a five year old anymore

Tegan: Right now I wish I was, I want to sleep! - she kept the pouty act going

Kyle: *giggles* Awwww, but then I wouldn't have my little wizard - he kissed her again making her giggle

Tegan: Okay fine you win I'll walk, but for now - she wrapped him in a hug and snuggled on him

*40 minutes later*
They made it to the city, got their baggage and went to the arrivals gate,  looking for familiar faces until Tegan saw Kyle's mom holding a sign with their names

Tegan: Luv, I don't know if my vision is blurry because of how sleepy I am but I think your mom is over there

Kyle: Oh yeah you're right! Come on luv move your legs

Tegan: I wish I could, they are sleepy too - Kyle put his arm around her and helped her

Kyle: Come on sleepy beauty - they then met his mom

Kyle: Mom! - he embraced with her for a moment

Allie: Hi mommy's boy!

Kyle: Mom you really? *Sighs*

Tegan: *giggles* Mommy's boy

Allie: Hi Tegan! - she hugged her daughter in law - how's everything going?

Tegan: Hi Ms Matthews *yawns* Everything good

Allie: You're exhausted aren't you? - Tegan nodded and leaned on her boyfriend - Awww poor you, I told you Kyle you didn't have to get the earliest flight

Tegan: I second this - she hugged his arm

Kyle: *giggles* Jesus you're knackered, here give me your bag I'll carry it for you -

Allie: You're what Tegan? Everything fine?

Tegan: Oh yeah, I've been teaching him some British Slang for whenever he goes to the UK - Kyle gave her a cheeky goofy smile with two thumbs up -  Knackered means exhausted by the way and yes, waking up at 5 AM does that to me

Allie: *Giggles* I see, and you woke up at 5 AM? How are you not exhausted either Kyle?

Kyle: It's called sleeping, you should try it love - he teased his girlfriend

Tegan: True - she then let herself fall on him and Kyle catched her

Kyle: In case you wonder mom, this is completely normal - Tegan nodded while pretending to be asleep

Allie: Seems like you like it as well

Kyle: I love it - he then got hugged by Tegan and he kissed her forehead in return

*A few hours later*
After getting to the hotel and having some extra sleep, Tegan and Kyle went to Kyle's family home as they were invited for lunch and Tegan was, once again, visibly nervous about it during the cab ride

Kyle: Love calm down, you already know my mom and I can tell she loves you, and my sister thinks you're awesome too - he placed his arm over her shoulders trying to comfort her

Tegan: Awww, but I still don't know the rest of them, what if they don't like me?

Kyle: Again with that, there's nothing not to like about you, just be yourself, people love you, Specially me - he kissed her in the cheek getting a smile out of her

Kyle: Well here we are - he then paid the driver and they got out of the cab

Tegan: *deep breath* Here we go

Kyle: *giggles* Aww poor baby wizard - he teased - it's all good, trust me - he hugged her as much as he could before ringing the doorbell and being received by Kyle's little sister

Amy: Tegan! Big Bro! - he hugged them both - mom they're here!

Allie: Hi guys! You had some extra sleep?

Kyle: Yep, at least she's not a zombie anymore - he joked

Tegan: Shut up - she elbowed his arm - but yeah I needed a nap and badly *Giggles*

Allie: It shows, come in the rest of the family is here - she invited the couple to enter and they were met by Kyle's father

Kyle: Tegs this is my dad, dad this is Tegan

Tegan: Nice to meet you sir - she shook her father in law's hand

Dad: Same goes for you Tegan, please call me Daniel

Allie: Well now that we're done with the introductions the food is almost ready so why don't we go take a seat? - they all went to take their seats at the table and Tegan couldn't help but notice what looked like a little Kyle in his football gear, holding his helmet under his arm with a big smile on his face

Tegan: Love is that you?

Allie: Back in his middle school football team days

Tegan: Awww you look so adorable! You never told me you played American football

Daniel: Tegan you watch football?

Tegan: American Football? Yeah. Sorry didn't mean to correct it's just the habit - she blushed

Daniel: *chuckles* It's all good

Allie: So Tegan, you're Welsh am I right?

Tegan: Loud and proud - she couldn't help but smile and Kyle kissed the top of her head

Amy: That was on the east coast right? - everyone laughed at the kid's mistake

Tegan: *giggles* Nope, that's in Europe

Kyle: Which is in the East so you're half right Ames

Amy: Yay! And sorry Tegan, didn't want to sound offensive - now she blushed

Tegan: Awwww it's okay you didn't mean to - she smiled, being heartwarmed

Allie: I never knew, how exactly did you two meet? - Kyle and Tegan started giggling

Kyle: Well.... Remember when I called home to say I got the contract?

Allie: Yeah, what's with that?

Kyle: Right after I hung up I turned around and I bump into this girl and there goes her lunch as well, I felt terrible and offered to buy her another.....

Tegan: One thing lead to the other and here we are - she kissed his cheek

Daniel: Now that's what I call a happy accident - he joked

Kyle: Dad.... - he glared at his father

Tegan: *chuckles* He's not wrong tho. It was a very happy accident - she wrapped her boyfriend in a hug

*A few hours later*
After having lunch at Kyle's parents place they went to a park by Kyle's request, wanting to show Tegan one of the places he grew up in. They then took a seat under a tree and next to the basketball playground

Tegan: Are we waiting for someone luv?

Kyle: Yes and also I wanted to bring you to one of the places I grew up in

Tegan: You really were one hyperactive toddler - she teased

Kyle: *giggles* Kinda. Playing with the older guys was no joke, it really toughened me up - just after he finished that sentence he heard a voice calling him from behind

?: Old man! - Kyle turned around to see his brother

Kyle: Sup bro? - they hugged - Tegs this is my little brother Jackson...

Jackson: Oh come on I'm 22 for fucks sake! But nice to meet you Tegan

Tegan: *giggles* Nice to meet ya mate

Kyle: How did you know we were going to be here?

Jackson: Mom told me you were going to go home for lunch and since I couldn't go I asked her if she knew where you were going next, and here we are. Also couldn't help but hear you were talking about the good old days here, want to go one on one to 21 for old times sake?

Tegan: Uhhhhh that sounds like a Challenge

Jackson: I already like you. What do you say old man? I have a ball right here

Kyle: Let's do it. Just don't go crying to mommy once I mop the floor with  you again - he teased before they got into the Court

Kyle: You're ready? - he passed the ball to his brother, who drove to the basket and got blocked

Kyle: Get that out of here! - he waged his finger, getting a response from Tegan watching on the sidelines

Tegan: *Giggles* Cut the crap showoff!

Jackson: I agree with her, still my ball - he drove again and this time made Kyle jump on a fake before scoring

Jackson: How many times do we have to teach you a lesson old Man!

Kyle: Give me that. It's over now

*20 Minutes later*
Score was now tied at 19 and Jackson had the chance to win it as he had the ball

Kyle: You score you win, no pressure little boy - he teased

Jackson: Fuck pressure, watch this - he shot a 3 pointer that went in and out, Kyle grabbed the rebound, went out of the line and started trash talking his brother

Kyle: Cool effort, but this ain't ending different than any other time - Jackson got intense on defense and Kyle had no other choice than to shoot a step back jumper that somehow went in before he let himself collapse on the ground

Kyle: What now huh? - he gloated

Jackson: Shut up that was a BS shot

Tegan: I barely know anything about this, but I agree it was bollocks

Kyle: You've never played? - he then got up and passed her the ball

Tegan: It wasn't the most popular sport back home so nope - she shrugged and tried to dribble the ball before trying to shoot it with both hands

Kyle: *giggles* Let me help you there - he got behind her and put her arms in position before she shot and it went it

Tegan: Woohoo, yes! - she happily high fived her boyfriend

Kyle: Awww I think you just melted my heart - he clutched his chest

Tegan: *giggles* Dummy. I love you

Kyle: Me too love - he kissed her forehead

*11 PM*
*Hotel room*
Tegan and Kyle made it back to the hotel they were staying in and both just let themselves fall in bed

Kyle: Exhausted aren't you?

Tegan: Pretty much. I really needed more bed time

Kyle: *giggles* Good we can share this  time around, we really should start making this a habit

Tegan: Yep, we should. Speaking of things we should do more often - she then rolled over him and laid on his chest

Kyle: Oh! W-what are you doing?

Tegan: Shhhh, it's all fine - she planted a kiss on his pec before starting to go up and ending in a heated make out session

A few minutes later they stopped and Tegan just stayed laying on him

Kyle: Was that good enough for you? - he teased

Tegan: And then some *yawns* but I really want some sleep now

Kyle: Not alone in that sentiment - he kissed her again

Tegan: Can I sleep here? You're really comfy - she said in a cute voice

Kyle: Awww of course! - he hugged her tight - *yawns* good night love

Tegan: Good night panda, love ya too - Kyle kept his hug on and Tegan stayed on him as they started to fall asleep
