*2 PM*
The day had come, Kyle's first Takeover was there and it was none other than arguably NXT biggest show of the year. was just finished having lunch when he saw a number popping up in his screen
Incoming call: Triple H

Kyle's mind: Holy shit what now?

Kyle: Hello?

Hunter: Matthews? This is Hunter speaking

Kyle: Oh yeah, hi! Anything I can serve?

Hunter: Actually yes. We want you to do a diary of your day of Takeover for the PC Youtube Channel, can we count on you?

Kyle: Sure! I love it but if I may ask, why me?

Hunter: Well you're kinda the less known name in the match and considering the plans for your future I think it's good people can get more familiar with you in every aspect

Kyle: Sounds good. Just one more thing, you got it?

Hunter: We're working on that. I'll tell you later

Kyle: No problem, goodbye!

*Two hours later*
Kyle made it nearby the arena and started recording himself

Kyle: NXT Takeover New Orleans..... This is going to be insane

Kyle: To think that just three months..... No scratch that just a bit over two months literally nobody knew who I was to know getting to compete in the next Takeover for a title it feels...... BOOM *chuckles*

Kyle: But for real I think it just shows how much a match can change things for you how 3 seconds can change things because who knows where I'd be if I lost to Dream in my first match? I hope my case just inspires other guys and girls in the PC to keep working their backs off because your moment will eventually come and you want to be ready for it

The video then transitioned to inside the arena as Kyle was in a room in front of the camera

Kyle: I know I'm not the favorite to win tonight, I don't think anyone is actually expecting me to win which in some way is kinda relaxing because I know I have some leeway and that will allow me to do some crazy stuff I'm willing to do *giggles*. But this isn't something new for me at all, happened to me before I signed with WWE happened to me when I started training to become a wrestler and even happened in my debut here. I think if you asked the, what was in 20 thousand people? That were there in Philly who was winning between me and Dream pretty sure everyone would have said Dream. Even me *chuckles* but that's the beauty of the Underdog right?

Kyle: I know tonight is going to be painful I know it's gonna be a bumpy road, never a better time for that saying, but I also believe no matter how many ladders I go through no matter how much pain I have to endure, if I get to unhook that belt at the end of the match it'll all be worth it

Kyle: Winning today would mean...... The world really. I'm keeping it honest with you this is what I've worked for to finally get here and now that I get this kind of opportunity it feels...... *Deep breath* it feels unreal

He then walked into another room to see Tegan talking to the camera

Tegan: I know how big of a deal this is for him, I'm so excited and happy and all the good things you can think off because I know how much effort he's out to get to where he is now and he deserves it. And being honest with you I think I'm more nervous than he is right now *giggles*. But I know he'll be fine, he's great. Tell him I said that, actually don't tell him.....

Kyle then sneaked into the frame and hugged Tegan from behind

Kyle: Too late for that

Tegan: *giggles* How much did you hear? - she blushed

Kyle: *chuckles* Everything. You really mean that?

Tegan: Absolutely. Look I even got a shirt to support you - she showed her shirt to the camera

Kyle: Awwww - he planted a strong kiss on her cheek - she's the best

Tegan: Just promise me you won't get killed in that match

Kyle: I don't want to make any promises I can't keep. Do I have your blessing to go mental out there?

Tegan: *Giggles* You have my blessing

Kyle: Thank you thank you thank you! - he showered in kisses - *whispering to the camera* She's great

*An hour later*
Kyle was already in gear, his usual pants now in dark red and gold to match the design of the Championship accompanied by dark red suspenders, a colorful zip sweatshirt with a bunch of badges and kick stamps and a pair of golden and blue Jordans, as the ladder match was set to open the Takeover. He was starting to warm up when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was none other than Johnny Gargano himself

Johnny: Yeah, the first one always hits hard

Kyle: Hi man, how's everything going?

Johnny: Besides Probably having the biggest match of my life? Cool

Kyle: *chuckles* The idea of Main Eventing Takeover sounds insane, I don't know how you do it I would have a mental breakdown if I was in your place

Johnny: *chuckles* Okay maybe not THAT big of a deal, but what about you? First Takeover and you have the honor of opening it

Kyle: We have to at least match the other Takeover openers, that's gonna be rough *deep breath*

Johnny: Kyle, relax. I know this type of matches can get to your head but just take a deep breath, clear your mind and focus on what you have to do. Nothing else matters now

Kyle: Gotcha, wish me luck

Johnny: You won't need it, but good luck! - he patted Kyle in the back before leaving

Kyle was in the center of the camera shot when his girlfriend came by and put her arm around him

Tegan: Got new gear I see

Kyle: You like it?

Tegan: I love it! Does it have any reasons or just to change?

Kyle: Well the pants are Red and Gold to match with the title, the Jordans are to represent home and the sweatshirt has a bunch of meanings, but it has a little wizard for you

Tegan: Awwww. But what about the suspenders?

Kyle: Oh they looked pretty cool and thought why not - he made Tegan giggle and could help but chuckle a bit himself

Kyle: What?

Tegan: *giggles* Just go - she kissed his cheek and playfully shoved him out of the shot

The camera stopped recording and as he was walking Kyle felt how someone wrapped her arms around his body

Tegan: I may have forgotten to tell you something before.....

Kyle: What's up?

Tegan: Take care please, I don't want anything to happen to you! - she tightened her grip as Kyle turned around and kissed the top of her head

Kyle: I promise you'll have me in one piece after the match

Tegan: *giggles* Okay fine, go now - she let go of the hug and he picked her up for a quick kiss before turning around and Almost immediately running into Triple H

Kyle: Woah! Oh my I'm so sorry I didn't see you...... - he couldn't help but become a blushing mess

Hunter: *chuckles* No worries kiddo, in fact I was looking for you

Kyle: Really? Everything good?

Hunter: Yes, just wanted to let you know we got it

Kyle: Seriously? - his face brightened and a smile showed

Tegan: Wait what are we talking about here? - she asked in amusement and visible confusion

Kyle: You'll see now, thanks Hunter! - he then left for the Gorilla

Tegan: He's a big ball of nerves

Hunter: Can you blame him?

Tegan: *Giggles* Not at all

*In the Gorilla*
Kyle entered and to his surprise he wasn't the first there, as Adam Cole, Ricochet and Velveteen Dream were already there

Kyle: What's up? - he high fived Rico and Cole, but Dream left him hanging by pretending not to see him

Adam: Ignore that. You ready bud?

Kyle: You mean ready to die in 5 different ways? Absolutely

Ricochet: I still don't know how you signed in for all those spots, you want to prove something?

Kyle: *chuckles* Yeah, that I'm tougher than you. Hey can we get that on a shirt?

Ricochet: Not gonna lie, that would sell well

Adam: Huh, that sounds oddly familiar - he teased

Kyle: *chuckles* Okay, it may be inspired on what we did with Candice in PWG but it's still a cool concept

?: Matthews you to now!

Kyle: Gotta go, see you out there!

*In the ring*

The opening riff of Kyle's theme played but he didn't show up. Instead the music cut for a few seconds and the crowd was left wondering what was going on

Kyle entered the ramp and the pop got even louder as he got his old Indies theme back

Kyle's mind: This feels so right

He made his way to the ring and couldn't help but smile as the crowd was giving him their support. He posed in the stairs and opened his arms as he appreciated the hot crowd in front of him before entering the ring and staring at the title hanging above him before finishing his entrance and waiting for everyone else to come in

- EC3 hit Kyle with a Neckbreaker off a ladder
- Dream hit a Dream Valley Driver on a bridged ladder to Kyle
- Cole hit Kyle with a Brainbuster off the apron
- Ricochet hit a 630 on Lars
- Superkick Party by Cole stopped by a Superkick from Kyle
- Kyle hit a Sitout Alabama Slam on a ladder to Ricochet
- Kyle went for a Handspring Enzuguri off the ropes but Cole intercepted him with a Superkick
- Cole hit a Panama Sunrise on Dream on a ladder, only for Ricochet to dive on it and put everyone through it
- Kyle hit a moonsault on EC3 off the ring post
- Ricochet hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb on Kyle from the top off a ladder onto a ladder resting on the ropes
- Lars hit Kyle with a Freak Accident off the apron and through a ladder
- EC3 hit a TKO on Lars on the concrete
- Ricochet hit a recoil on Cole
- Kyle hit a Good Night Kiss on a ladder to Lars Sullivan

*30 minutes into the match*
Kyle was in the ring with Ricochet, as the were trying to out pace each other. They exchanged counter after counter after counter until Ricochet went for a Handspring off the ropes but Kyle had it telegraphed and went to the ropes himself. Ricochet found nobody home and instead saw how Kyle jumped off the middle rope and caught him with a Poisonrana, sending Ricochet out of the ring

Kyle then saw the opportunity and went to open a ladder, but unfortunately for him, Dream also entered the ring and started climbing the ladder as they fought near the top of it. They started trading blows on the top of it until Kyle managed to take Dream out with an elbow. He had the title almost within his reach, but looked down at Dream on the mat with a devious smirk on his face

Kyle's mind: Fuck it, I'mma do it

He put his hands on the top rung and leapfrogged over it, free falling in a Senton on Dream

Crowd: HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT

Kyle rolled out of the ring in pain and watched how Cole and EC3 battled on top of the ladder and the Undisputed Era leader took the title

Kayla: Here's your winner and NEEEEEEEWWWWWW North American Champion! Adam Cole!

Crowd: BAY-BAY

*Backstage*
Kyle made it to the back a few minutes later and saw the Garganos and Tegan

Tegan: Here you are mad man! - she wrapped him in a hug

Johnny: I have to admit, you bumped the soul out of your body pretty much, I'm impressed

Candice: It was kinda terrifying to see at times tho

Tegan: *giggles* I agree with Candice here - she high fived Ms Gargano

Kyle: Well, I may or may not have taken inspiration on the stuff I saw you do at PWG

Candice: What? Really?

Johnny: You still need a boot of thumbtacks to the face tho

Kyle: Oh you better believe I'm doing it *chuckles*

Tegan: No you're not! - she said with a worried expression on her face

Kyle: And how do you plan on stopping me?

Tegan: Uhhhh...... Ummm...... I won't let you go! - she tightened her hug

Kyle: Awwwww. I can live with that. I'm still getting my version of the Candice is tougher than you shirt

Candice: *giggles* I feel so bad for inspiring this

Kyle: Okay fine I'll control myself. I'm hitting the showers, see you later guys!

*Segment for the YouTube video*
Kyle was now again in front of the camera and trying to speak

Kyle: Right now the first thing I feel is...... Adrenaline, like I did so much stuff I always wanted to do and just flying around all over the place was so much fun. I'm also in so much pain right now and I know my body will make me know about it tomorrow, but for now I'm just so happy this being my first Takeover and getting to put on a performance like that, couldn't ask for much more. Well, the title but that will come eventually *chuckles* but nothing more

*An hour later*
Kyle started looking for his girlfriend, as he expected to meet her in catering but she was nowhere to be found. He was about to text her when all of a sudden two palms covered his eyes

Tegan: Were you looking for me? *Giggles*

Kyle: There you are! I was looking for you

Tegan: Kinda hard to look when you can't see - a cute smile showed on her face

Kyle: I see now, in fact what I see is a very kissable face - he started giving her many little kisses, making Tegan Giggle before planting a kiss on her forehead

Tegan: *giggles* That feels nice, but now I got something in mind too - she teased and sat on his lap with a big smile on her face, making Kyle blush again

Kyle: Lo.... Love, w-what are y-you doing?

Tegan: Awww you look so adorable when you stutter - she giggled and pecked his cheeks

Kyle: I think we should save it for the hotel

Tegan: Owwwww. Do I really have to wait? - a cute pout showed on her face

Kyle: I fear so, but that doesn't mean I can't do this - he quickly kissed her and Kyle then took out his phone for a selfie of her tightly hugging him while getting a kiss on his cheek
