*7:30 AM*
Tegan's alarm went off and she quickly turned it off before groaning and starting to get up when she saw a notification on her phone

Kyle: Love
Kyle: Are you awake?
Tegan: Now I am
Kyle: Fuck I'm so sorry didn't want to wake you up
Tegan: Don't worry, it was the bloody alarm
Tegan: I officially hate alarms😡😡😡😡 (imagine this is me pouting)
Kyle: 🤣🤣🤣
Kyle: More like throwing a wobbly
Tegan: How dare you use the slang I thought you against me?
Kyle: I had a good teacher
Tegan: A really good one
Kyle: True
Kyle: You just got up?
Tegan: Yep. Why?
Kyle: Look over the balcony

Tegan then went and saw his boyfriend in a brand new Volkswagen Jetta across the street waving his arms

Kyle: Surprise! - he shouted from across the street, making his girlfriend chuckle in disbelief before she got changed in a hurry and five minutes later she was out of her house and entering the car

Kyle: Hi love - he said with a smile on his face

Tegan: Hi for you too - they quickly kissed - when in the blue hell did you get this beauty of a car?

Kyle: *chuckles* Pretty neat, innit? - he tried to do a British accent similar to Tegan's

Tegan: Are you mocking my British accent? - she tried to look offended while holding back her laughter

Kyle: I'm sorry, I'm sorry - he kept the accent on - I thought it'd be funny, how have you been luv? I spent all night watching Harry Potter movies and only had time for a kip but here I am and full of beans! - he kept the British joke going

Tegan: *chuckles* How dare you kinda accurately mock me? - she couldn't keep it together anymore and started laughing

Kyle: *British accent* Thank you, thank you baby wizard, I made my bloody best effort and if you don't like it you can go kick rocks! - that last part made Tegan laugh even more

Tegan: *laughing* How freaking dare you? I'm so angry I can only laugh because if i don't laugh I will smash something in your Bloody head - she tried to act angry but couldn't stop laughing and Kyle kissed her cheek

Kyle: How would you rate my British impersonation? I think I nailed it

Tegan: *giggles* Don't get too cocky but it was really good. It gets my seal of approval

Kyle: Thanks your majesty - he joked and got Tegan to giggle again

Tegan: Plonker - she playfully hit him in the arm

Kyle: I'll assume you just called me a dummy or a dork here - he shrugged

Tegan: Close enough, it's idiot but yeah, I say it with all my love - she kissed him in the cheek

Kyle: How's having the house for yourself been? I mean with Kota in England for the NXT UK Women's Title tourney tapings it must be pretty cool for you to have some room for yourself for a change

Tegan: It's cool, but it gets pretty lonely at times. I wish I had someone, nights alone suck - she pouted

Kyle: Maybe we can change that today - he teased

Tegan: I'd love that. Can we stop and buy something to eat? I haven't really had breakfast yet

Kyle: Sure. Anything for my favorite person

Tegan: Awww. I love ya panda bear - she wrapped him in a hug

Kyle: *Giggles* No Problem, now let's get going, you have a tournament to train for!

*6 PM*
After a day of training in the PC it was time for the next set of tapings and Kyle was scheduled to partake on them as he was making his return as part of an 8 men tournament to crown the new challenger for Adam Cole and the North American Championship

Kyle made it to the locker room and started changing when he saw Ricochet, Keith Lee and Adam Cole already in there

Ricochet: You don't say hi anymore british boy? - he joked

Kyle: *chuckles* Yeah my bad - he greeted the 3 of them - wait a minute how do you know?

Adam: Your Progress appearance? It's on YouTube, see things can get viewed by hundreds of thousands really quick this days - he said with a strong sarcasm on his voice

Kyle: Touché. Hey I totally forgot, are you guys in tournament?

Keith/Rico: Yeah

Adam: Well I'm the freaking Champion so nope

Kyle: Don't get too smart or else I might be taking that belt away from you in less than you can say Bay-Bay - he teased and started bandaging his feet

Keith: Kyle everything right bud? You're bandaging for something in particular or what?

Kyle: This? Oh it's just for protection, also because I still have to sell my idiotic idea of the final spot in the match with Dream where I obliterated my own ankle

Ricochet: Oh yeah, that spot. The hell were you thinking?

Adam: Have to agree with Rick O'Shea here, we've all done some crazy shit in the indies but that was outright stupid

Kyle: Hey!...... I actually have nothing, you're right - he sighed and kept on bandaging his feet

Keith: You're okay at least? Injuries are no joke dude

Kyle: Yeah I'm fine. My ankle got a bit swollen and was kind of a bitch to deal with for a few days but I'm good now. Oh and Adam start kissing that title goodbye man, I'm coming for it - he joked

Adam: *Chuckles* In character already?

Kyle: Gotta get bonus points for the commitment - he laughed a bit and shrugged before finishing getting in gear and a snapback and leaving

Kyle then started walking down the hallways when he felt his cap getting taken off his head

Tegan: Hi love! - Kyle turned around and saw his girlfriend with the snapback on. She jumped up and gave him a quick kiss in the lips

Kyle: I think you have something that doesn't belong to you - he teased

Tegan: *Giggles* But it looks neat on me - she then got the snapback taken away by Kyle - hey! - she pretended to try and reach for it but ended wrapping him in a hug

Kyle: *Giggles* Someone is in a good mood today I see - he kissed back

Tegan: Yep! Because I know I have someone coming over after work tonight and it makes me very very happy - she couldn't hold back a smile

Kyle: Awwww,. But you're not even working tonight

Tegan: *Giggles* Don't ruin the fun ya dummy! - she playfully punched him in the chest - you have your own tourney now don't ya?

Kyle: Yeah. I'm facing Kona Reeves in the first round now and then..... Well, the then is a mystery

Tegan: Aight mystery man. Might I ask is that bandage in your feet?

Kyle: Wait how did you know?

Tegan: *Giggles* Pull your socks up next time - she pointed at his ankle, seeing a bit of the tape Kyle used

Kyle: Ohhh I see, yeah it's for protection only, better safe than sorry right?

Tegan: But you're not hurt, are you Panda? - she looked at him with puppy eyes

Kyle: *giggles* Awwwww. I promise you I'm totally fine. Now if you excuse your adorable majesty I have to go

Tegan: *Giggles* But before you do - she kissed him again - you have my blessing, now you can go - she watched him leave and while she was deep in her happy thoughts she heard s voice behind her

Candice: Being in love is such a great thing isn't it?

Tegan: Were ya listening to our chat? - she glared at her friend

Candice: Oh no no no, I just walked by, I was looking for Johnny but he's nowhere to be found..... But I overheard just the last bit...

Tegan: Candice!

Candice: *giggles* I'm sorry I'm sorry, but you two are so sweet! I'm so happy for you! - she hugged her friend

Tegan: *Giggles* Guess it goes without saying but me too, I feel like everything is just finally coming together after all the shit I had to go through and it feels.... Ah! It feels so great!

Candice: Believe me when I say this. You deserve every bit of what's happening now in your life, as your honorary older sister I'm so proud of you! Understood? - Tegan nodded - great! Now let's go to catering I'm hungry - they went to catering and started watching the show

*In the ring*

Kona Reeves, AKA the Finest of NXT made his entrance to the boos of the crowd and waited for his opponent

Kona: Who's facing the Finest! Come on don't be shy

Regal: Mr Reeves! It seems like you're eager to know who your opponent will be is that right?

Kona: Of course that's the case! Just bring his sorry ass out....

The crowd cheered for Kyle as he was making his return after Takeover Chicago. He stared down with the GM before offering a handshake that got accepted by Regal

Regal: Good luck Mr Matthews - he then went to the back as Kyle finished his entrance, giving his cap to a girl in the front row before going into the ring

*Beginning of the match*
Reeves and Matthews locked up and Kona was quick to put Kyle in a headlock before Kyle pushed off and Kona tackled him into the mat. The Finest then ran the ropes again but Kyle went under him and faked a leapfrog, but instead the President of Kick Country caught Kona by surprise with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb putting the crowd and Reeves himself in awe before sitting in the mat with a cheeky smile and shrugging

*Highlights of the match*
- Kyle hit an Armdrag sending Reeves to the outside
- Kona intercepted a Suicide Dive with a forearm and suplexed Kyle on the ramp
- Kona hit a Spinebuster
- Kona tried to hit s Rolling the Dice but Kyle escaped and countered with a Northern Lights Suplex
- Kyle hit an Old School Tornado DDT
- Kyle hit a Moonsault for a 2,5 count

*10 minutes later*
Kona was back in control as he had been working over Kyle's legs and had him cornered when he started shoulder thrusting Kyle in the corner until the count got to 4 before being separated by the ref. The Finest then hit a splash and taunted Kyle

Kona: What are you gonna do huh? You ain't nothing! - He got up to the middle rope and was about to start unloading punches when Matthews got out of position and hit him with a running Powerbomb in the middle of the ring

Kyle then slapped the mat in frustration and got up in very sharp and visible pain as he limped to the corner and got up before trying to hit a Running uppercut, getting dodged by Kona, dodging a big boot himself and hitting an Angle Slam

Kyle: COME ON! - He shouted in clear frustration as nothing he tried seemed to be enough to put Kona away. Kyle then got Kona up and hit him with a Sitout Alabama Slam

As soon as Reeves kicked out Kyle trapped him in a Kneebar Center of the ring, leaving the Finest no other choice but to tap out

Kayla: Here's your winner by Submission, Kyle Matthews!

Kyle then sat up and saw Kayla ready to interview him

Kyle: Hi Kayla - he tried to catch his breath - any help here please? - he reached his hand out asking to be helped up, getting a chuckle out of the crowd as Kayla helped him

Kayla: Kyle first and foremost congrats on your win, with Velveteen Dream now seemingly in the rear view mirror after what must have felt like ages, what is your next focus?

Kyle: *deep breath* Woo! Thanks Kayla, yeah it feels like ages but I think it's safe I have Dream in the rear view now, he's not in this tournament is he?

Kayla: No he isn't

Kyle: Thank goodness! But regarding my focus I think it's the same as everyone here, with the exception of you Kayla, you should keep focusing on being a ball of sunshine so please keep doing that because you're great

Crowd: Awwww

Kyle: But regarding myself my focus is the same as everyone else in this tournament and that's becoming the #1 contender for the NXT North American Championship. Any other questions?

Kayla: Well first of all thanks! Secondly we saw you wrestle quite differently tonight than you usually do, is there a reason for that?

Kyle: Oh yes. I probably shouldn't be saying this because my opponent in the next round could be hearing this but if he watched the match he noticed so whatever. My feet are toast as of now I think everyone noticed it and that's because of the finish to my beautiful Takeover match last week but now it's kinda painful to do the stuff I usually do, I mean we call it Kick Country for a reason right?

Crowd: *cheers*

Kyle: But right now I can't do all the stuff I'd want to so I have to come up with new ways of putting my opponents away. Now if you excuse me Kayla, I'm exhausted and honestly I'm probably having a nap as soon as I Cross that curtain. Stay awesome y'all! - he left as his music hit

*Backstage*
Kyle made it back and saw his girlfriend waiting for him crossing her arms and frowning

Kyle: What's up there luv?

Tegan: What's up is you told me you were fine and now you say you're hurt, you lied to me! - she frowned at him

Kyle: Wait no. Love I'm super duper fine, it was all part of the story

Tegan: How so?

Kyle: Because I'm "hurt" I have to find other ways of winning, that way I get to show I can do more than just kicks.....

Tegan: Oh! Okay that's interesting. Just stay safe pretty please? For your girlfriend? - a cute pout showed on her face

Kyle: Awww. I promise you I will, I'm sure nothing crazy is happening and you'll still have your Panda ready to be hugged and cuddled when we're done here - Tegan wrapped him in a tight hug

Tegan: You better or else I'm not letting you go - she giggled and got a kiss on top of her head

*An hour later*
Tegan and Kyle made it to her place, where she opened the door and immediately sunk in the couch

Tegan: Feel like at home luv

Kyle: Okay then - he immediately joined Tegan and cuddled on her

Tegan: Awww you cuddly panda! - she wrapped him in a hug - wanna go a few rounds in Tekken? I'm kicking ya ass!

Kyle: Don't get too cocky, you're eating the dust!

A few hours later they stopped playing, Tegan went to change and Kyle started looking for something on TV until he stumbled into an old Pokemon chapter

Kyle: No way! - his comment alerted Tegan

Tegan: What's up everything fine? - she rushed back to the living room, now with her onesie on

Kyle: Nah, just found Pokemon on TV and awww you look so adorable!

Tegan: *giggles* I know - she gloated and Kyle pulled her down in a big hug

Kyle: I'm sorry, but I can't pass on giving you the biggest hug I can - Tegan made herself comfortable in his arms

Tegan: Never told me you liked Pokemon - she said in a playful tone

Kyle: *giggles* I loved it as a kid and it just grew in me ever since. You'll probably see a Pokemon gear from me one of this days

Tegan: That sounds amazing! Also mind if we sleep like this? I'm very comfy

Kyle: I have no problem, you just have to pay the entry prize - he teased

Tegan: Uhhh and what would that be?

Kyle: This! - he showered her in kisses all over her face for a few seconds

Tegan: Now that's a prize I don't mind paying *giggles*

Kyle: Great, beca since you have such a kissable face I might do it more

Tegan: I'd love that - she teased and got a kiss on her forehead

Kyle: Good night baby wizard, I love you - they cuddled as they started to drift to sleep
