*10 days later*
*8 AM*
Tegan got up and quickly started changing into her clothes and the noise in the next room alerted the sleeping Dakota, who woke up suddenly due to Tegan's hyperactivity

Dakota: *sleepy* Tegan what are you doing it's early - she groaned and muffled her face in the pillow

Tegan: Sorry! I'm just so nervous, have you seen my Nike's?

Dakota: Living room, but why are you so nervous?

Tegan: Today I get an evaluation on my knee, I could get cleared! - she squealed in happiness

Dakota: Oh my God that's awesome! - she hugged her best friend right

Dakota: You think they'll clear you?

Tegan: Yeah..... I think so, I mean I hope but at the same time I don't want to get too excited.....

Dakota: *giggles* Tegs you're almost surely getting cleared and what if they say no? It's only a matter of time you get back in the ring

Tegan: *deep breath* I guess you're right

Dakota: Nothing new

Tegan: Oh shut up! - she playfully shoved the Kiwi

Dakota: Don't Tell me to shut up! - she put her arm around her and gave her a noogie

Tegan: Ow! That hurt!

Dakota: Respect your elders - she scoffed

Tegan: Fuck off old man - she giggled and unlocked her phone

Tegan: Hi my Panda bear
Kyle: Hi wiz
Tegan: Are you going to the PC today or day off?
Kyle: I wish
Kyle: Gotta work out so I'm bigger for you..... Kinda
Tegan:😆😆😆😆
Kyle: Why u ask?
Tegan: I'm having an evaluation today
Tegan: Could get cleared
Tegan: Yay!
Kyle: How are you feeling?
Tegan: Gonna explode
Kyle: Everything is going to be good

Kyle: That's a lot of kisses
Tegan: Just a tiny bit of the ones I have with your name on them
Kyle: Awww
Kyle: Bye! Late mate!

*In the PC*
Kyle made it there and started looking for Tegan and Dakota, but instead ended up meeting with the Garganos

Johnny: Hey Matthews!

Kyle: Hi! How's everything going?

Candice: Johnny filled the freezer with pudding again but other than that it's great!

Kyle: *chuckles* How much?

Candice: Too much

Johnny: Come on! There's no such thing as too much pudding

Kyle: I second this

Johnny: In your face! - he high fived Kyle

Kyle: *chuckles* Hey, have you seen Tegan and Dakota by any chance?

Candice: I don't think they're here yet, why you ask?

Kyle: Tegan told me she's having an evaluation on her knee.....

Candice: Oh yeah I forgot! She told me too. God please let everything go fine for her - at that point Dakota and Tegan made their way in

Candice: Hi! - she hugged them both but Tegan was seemingly shook

Johnny: Everything fine?

Tegan: Yeah, just nervous - Kyle then put his palms on her cheeks and their foreheads touched

Kyle: Love, everything is going to work out fine. There's nothing to worry about, you feel good, your knee isn't bothering you anymore so chances are you walk out of that room cleared and if not what? It'll be the next time but I guarantee you that no matter when they give you the okay you're going to be the best. Now go kick it little wizard, I love you - he kissed her in the forehead and got a squeezing hug in return from his girlfriend before she entered the trainer's room. Kyle then turned around to see both Dakota and Candice smiling

Dakota/Candice: Awwwww

Johnny: You got couple nicknames now?

Candice: They're cute tho

Dakota: Hard agree there

Kyle: Yep! She's my little wizard because she keeps making me awe

Candice: How sweet!

Johnny: You think everything goes right in there?

Kyle: I hope so

Dakota: Yes please. She's been through enough

Kyle: Let's just pray for the best now - he crossed his fingers as Candice patted him in the back

*40 minutes later*
Tegan came out if the trainer's room and went running straight to the group waiting for her

Kyle: How did it go?

Tegan: I'M CLEARED! - she jumped into his arms and wrapped him in a tight hug and couldn't help but start sobbing out of emotion

Kyle: *giggles* Awwww it's fine let it out - he returned the loving hug and started kissing her cheek

Tegan: *sobbing* This is so amazing I can't believe it's finally happened....

Dakota: Bring the tissues! - everyone ended up laughing, including Tegan

Kyle: What did I tell you? - he couldn't help but smile and plant a strong kiss on her forehead - I'm so happy for you - he tightened his grip and showered her in kisses

Johnny: Alright alright keep it PG Kyle

Kyle: *chuckles* Sorry, but not kissing this girl is pretty hard - Tegan had already gotten down so Kyle but his arm around her and kissed the top of her head as she hugged his arm

Candice: This calls for celebration, everyone in our house at night!

Tegan: Yay!

*That night*
It was time for NXT weekly episode, and as promised the Garganos were hosting a mini watch along with Tegan, Kyle, Dakota, Ricochet, Kacy and Adam. And as in every party there were some snacks as well

Kyle: Can someone pass me an oreo? - Johnny threw him one and he caught it

Adam: Good throw Johnny you are now qualified to be a Browns QB

Johnny/Kyle: Hey!

Adam: Kyle you too? God I feel your misery already. Sorry man

Kyle: Shut up Cole we're gonna be good someday - he them whispered something funny into Tegan's ear, because she giggled a bit after hearing him

Tegan: *giggles* Fine. Can I get one too? - she grabbed another cookie and both her and Kyle looked up and put the cookie in their foreheads

Kyle: Ready set go! - they started doing the cookie Challenge, trying to get the cookie down to their mouth just by contorting their faces. Eventually it looked like Tegan was going to do it but hers fell off

Tegan: *chuckles* Nooooo!

Kyle: I win! - he got his cookie to his mouth and raised his arms in celebration

Tegan: *giggles* Goof - she pinched his cheek before planting a kiss on it

Adam: Kyle dude look our segment is up next!

*On TV*

William Regal was in the ring as he was scheduled to make an announcement that night. The crowd got quiet as he started speaking

Regal: You might have heard the rumors you might have heard the buzz...... Well the buzz is true. At Takeover New Orleans NXT is debuting a new title, the NXT North American Championship! - the crowd popped for it before he continued

Regal: Now as for how it'll be decided. At Takeover there will be a six way ladder match for the title that'll be hanging over this very ring and whoever manages to unhook it will become the first ever NXT North American Champion!

After EC3 was finished another music hit

Dream: The Dream couldn't help but hear the announcement made by Mister Regal and the Dream also had the misfortune of hearing the blabbering you had to say, Ethan. But what the Dream wants to say here is there is going to be only one inagural North American Champion and that's going to be.....

(A/n: Just because I'm using Brian Pillman Jr theme doesn't mean Kyle looks like him, he looks however you picture him to, just to clear that)

Kyle then came out with a mic in hand and cut Dream off

Kyle: Thanks guys, great timing! - he said to the back before turning his attention to the people in the ring

Kyle; Yeah I heard what you were saying Dream and....... No. That title needs a worthy innagural Champion, nos don't get me wrong, as much as you repulse me I have to give it to you you ain't no scrub, but the last thing the title needs is a creepy Prince rip-off carrying it around. Just do us all a favor and get this straight in that wicked mind of yours - he got right in Dream's face - it's anyone but you

The segment continued with Adam Cole, Ricochet and Lars Sullivan all coming out to the party and crowding the ring by staking their claims for the belt. Seeing this Regal had an idea

Regal: You know what? I think we've found our competitors for the six man ladder match!

Crowd: *cheers*

Regal: It'll be Adam Cole against Ricochet against Lars Sullivan against EC3 against the Velveteen Dream against Kyle Matthews at Takeover New Orleans! - the crowd popped for every single name announced as Regal left the ring

*Back at the Garganos place*
Everyone watched the segment and right after it finished the comments didn't take long to start

Dakota: Dude that's awesome! Any words on who could win?

Cole/Rico/Kyle: Nope

Johnny: I just want to say we should hold a moment of silence for Kyle killing Dream on TV - his dumb joke made everyone laugh

Candice: Johnny! That's mean!

Kyle: *chuckles* Okay I might have gone a bit overboard with it I admit it, but there's something off with that dude. He's had it for me since Philly for whatever reason

Ricochet: Don't worry bud, it's not just with you, he's a weird dude

Kyle: Yeah I had noticed that. I swear I don't recall doing anything to him but the dude has stiffed me a bunch of times now. I don't know if It's on purpose or not.....

Tegan: You think so luv?

Kyle: I want to believe it's not, but it's happened so many times now I honestly don't know

Ricochet: I just want to say I have a whole new respect for you for putting up with this shit, go talk to Hunter about it

Kyle: Dude it's fine. I'm not going to whine to management because one dude hasn't been the best to work with

Dakota: That's it you're a saint. I'd have beaten the crap out of him in your place

Tegan: Just be careful of not getting hurt okay? I don't want anything to happen to you - she hugged him

Kyle: I'll try my best - he hugged back

*A few hours later*
It was time to go as everyone was going to the PC next morning and needed to get some sleep. As they walked out of the Garganos apartment Kyle put his arm around Tegan

Kyle: Remember last time we were here?

Tegan: *giggles* Yeah, you were pretty sweet for that

Kyle: I'm still waiting to see my hoodie back

Tegan: No that's my pillow! - she pouted and giggled right after, making Kyle giggle as well

Tegan: You're cold panda bear?

Kyle: Nope, why?

Tegan: Because I wanted an excuse to do this! - she wrapped him in a tight hug as they walked before Dakota came by with the car

Dakota: Tegan, in! Kyle are you sure you don't want a ride bro?

Kyle: Nah thanks King, I called an Uber now. And for you - he put his hands on Tegan's cheeks

Tegan: What? - she asked with a gleeful smile on her face

Kyle: First of all, I think you just melted my heart, again - he gave her many little kisses all over her face - and second, good night lady wiz. Take care

Tegan: I guess I will - they kissed for one last time before Tegan got in the car and went their separate ways until next day
