Kyle was already up and putting the leashes on Huff and Puff to take them out for a walk when he heard the sound of a notification on his phone

*Kyle's phone*
Mom: How is my pumpkin doing?

Kyle couldn't help but roll his eyes and also grin at the comment from his mom

Kyle: Mom I'm not a little kid anymore
Mom: You're still my baby boy
Mom: Always will be
Kyle: 🙄
Kyle: I will never escape this
Mom: Don't even think about it
Mom: What are you doing now?
Kyle: About to take the pups for a walk, then to the PC
Mom: Awww they're growing so fast! Also, where?
Kyle: The Performance Center, that's the name of the "gym" if you want to call it like that
Mom: Ohhhh
Kyle: What about you?
Mom: Just entering the hospital. Thank goodness I'm not doing night shifts anymore
Kyle: Those are bitches
Mom: Language!
Kyle: Sorry 🥺
Mom: 🤭
Mom: Completely unrelated but I saw the photo you posted with your girlfriend. You're so adorable!
Kyle: She's the best. I love her
Mom: She seems like an absolute sweetheart
Mom: When am I going to meet.... It was Tegan right?
Kyle: Yeah
Kyle: I actually talked to her about going home sometime soon, maybe after Takeover? I'm going to be busy before that
Mom: Fine
Mom: When would that be?
Kyle: 6/18 in Chicago, so maybe after that we could go?
Mom: Sounds great
Mom: Entering work, bye, love you
Kyle: Love you too mom

Kyle then put his phone in his pocket and a thought came into his mind

Kyle's mind: Wouldn't it be too soon?

*An hour later*
Kyle made it to the PC, went to the locker room to change and met none other than Johnny Gargano

Kyle: Johnny Wrestling! - they bro hugged - how's everything going?

Johnny: Everything great. Came early to be on top shape for the match with Tomasso at Takeover

Kyle: You two are really loving this aren't you?

Johnny: *chuckles* Yeah. The whole feud had been so much fun

Kyle: I wish I could say the same for mine *sighs*

Johnny: I get you, it sucks but you're not always be working with the guys you want, at least it's just one time right?

Kyle: Thank goodness it is. In non related news my mom wrote today.....

Johnny: How is she? - he accidentally cut him off - nevermind go on

Kyle: *Giggles* Great, thanks for asking. But she told me she wants to meet Tegan sooner than later

Johnny: And?

Kyle: I think it's a bit too soon don't you think? I mean it's been 3 months, well 4 by the time we MAY go home after Takeover. Sounds a bit too early for me

Johnny: Nah I don't think so. If it was like a few weeks you've been together or a month then yeah. I met Candice's family around 4 or 5 months in and look at us! All I'm saying is don't worry. You have something great going on and a trip together will make it even better

Kyle: I'll take your word man. I'm just hoping everything works out. We have something great going on and I don't want it to go south because of being an idiot - he looked down, visibly worried

Johnny: Hey, it's all going to be fine, I know what I'm saying - he put his arm around Kyle - this will only be good, trust me

Kyle: I guess I have to - he half smiled and Johnny patted his back

Johnny: That's the way. Now come on we have some training to do!

*Half an hour later*
Kyle was now by himself, zoned in with his earbuds about to start doing some push-ups when he got an earbud taken out

Tegan: What are you hearing?

Kyle: No hi or anything to your panda? - he jokingly complained

Tegan: True - she gave him a tight hug and they kissed

Kyle: Much better

Tegan: *giggles* Wazzock. Now what where you hearing?

Kyle: I was just about to put something...... - he then stopped mid sentence

Tegan: Shiniest Wizard to Panda you copy me? - she snapped her fingers in front of him

Kyle: *giggles* Gotcha - he kissed her forehead - but I was thinking, how about a little push-up contest?

Tegan: I'm in. You're getting battered luv - she teased

Kyle: I forgot, you know the song Roxanne by The Police?

Tegan: Just by name, why?

Kyle: I was thinking, when it says "Roxanne" I do one, when it says "red light" you do one, got it?

Tegan: Yeah, and when I win I want something in reward - she said in a playful tone

Kyle: Like what?

Tegan: Dunno *giggles* just put play to the bloody song!

They started the contest, staring at each other while doing so, until 20 pushups in Tegan's arms gave up

Kyle: Awww the baby couldn't do a few more - he mocked

Tegan: Shut up, you're knackered too

Kyle: True - he let himself fall next to her and rested his head on her shoulder

Tegan: Awww come here - she kissed his cheek - maybe this will energize you - she giggled and Kyle sat up

Kyle: It worked! Thanks!

Tegan: Not so fast luv, you're staying with me! - she pulled him back down and next to her

Kyle: *giggles* Come on love we have to keep training - he quickly stood up before Tegan could pull him down again

Tegan: Any help here? - she held her arms out waiting for him to help her up, but instead Kyle picked her up by her sides

Tegan: Thank you, but I'm still knackered - she let herself fall on him and wrapped him in a hug

Kyle: *chuckles* Oh my......

Tegan: Knock it off mate I need this - she rested her head on his chest and got a kiss on top of her head

Kyle: Awww you're that exhausted aren't you? - he pecked her cheeks and Tegan nodded

Kyle: *giggles* The baby wizard needs some sleep? - Tegan nodded again - not now I fear. In other completely unrelated news my mom called.....

Tegan: Neat! What's up there?

Kyle: She saw the last photo I posted of us together and first of all she thinks we're adorable and you're a sweetheart

Tegan: Awww she isn't wrong there - she adorably posed and smiled

Kyle: I know and I love you, she also said she wants to know you at some point - he watched the smile on her face fade

Kyle: You don't have to do this if you don't want to, it's your decision and I'm fine with whatever you decide, no pressure here

Tegan: Oh! Umm...... No no, sure I want to, just didn't expect it

Kyle: We can do this later of you don't want to, I don't want you to be uncomfortable with this

Tegan: Awww. It's fine, I mean we have to meet the others family eventually right? I just hope they get a good impression of me - she nervously smiled

Kyle: Awww - he placed his palms on her cheeks -  don't worry I'm sure they'll love you too. I mean what is there not to love about you? You'll be more than fine

*A few minutes later*
Tegan was back to training, now with Candice, when they took a break and Tegan decided to ask her something that had been buzzing in her mind for a bit now

Tegan: Hey Candice, can I ask you something?

Candice: Sure! *Deep breath* that was intense!

Tegan: Yeah it was. But here is the thing, I was talking with Kyle before and he told me his mom wants to meet me......

Candice: Let me guess. You're nervous right?

Tegan: *sighs* Is it that obvious?

Candice: Well no, but yes because I've been in your place before *giggles*. But seriously there's nothing to worry about. Plus it'd be a trip together right?

Tegan: Yeah, pretty neat, innit?

Candice: Yeah. And regarding your nerves it's totally fine, it happens, but I'm sure everything will work out just fine

Tegan: I hope so - she took a deep breath to calm down

Candice: I know so. I have an idea, why don't you come over for dinner tonight? It'll be fun and you'll get your head out of this. What do you think?

Tegan: Sounds great, thanks!

Candice: *giggles* You're welcome. Now back to work! - she jokingly ordered Tegan

Tegan: Yes ma'am! - she saluted before  starting again

*Later that day*
*5 PM*
Kyle was back at home after a long day in the PC, going through social media when his phone started ringing

Tegan: Look down the street

Kyle then looked out the window and saw his girlfriend across the street jumping and waving at him

Tegan: Hi! - she then got a text

Kyle: What are you doing here?
Tegan: I just walked by and thought about coming to pay you a visit
Kyle: You want to come in?
Tegan: That would be lovely
Kyle: Going

A minute later Kyle made it to the front door of the building as Tegan was already waiting for him

Tegan: There you are, I was getting tired of waiting y'know? - she teased

Kyle: *giggles* Shut up. You're still sore from today?

Tegan: Nope! Fresh as ever - she then noticed him blushing - what's up?

Kyle: I just realized how wrong my comment sounded - he said, visibly mortified

Tegan: *chuckles* Awwww don't feel bad for it! We all have an accidental double meaning here and there you adorable oaf! - she pinched his cheek and kissed him as they entered the elevator

They then got into the house and Tegan saw how Kyle had a match put on pause on the TV along with a notebook in the couch

Tegan: You were studying luv?

Kyle: I was before. I took a break but I was getting inspiration for spots for my match at Takeover

Tegan: Neat! Just don't get TOO crazy okay?

Kyle: I'll try to, remember it's a street fight

Tegan: Yeah. Just don't hurt yourself, for me? Pretty please? - she looked at him with wet puppy eyes

Kyle: *Giggles* Okay, for you. And Because I'd feel like a total jerk if I said no to that face

Tegan: *Giggles* It worked! I just want my boyfriend when the match is done - she kept the cute puppy eyes going

Kyle: Awwww, and you will - he put two fingers on her chin and kissed her

Tegan: Thank you - she smiled and wrapped him in a hug - before I forget we're invited to the Garganos place at night

Kyle: Cool! What do you want to do until then?

Tegan: Uhhh...... Movie cuddle marathon?

Kyle: Sounds like a great idea to me - they then sunk in the couch

Tegan: What do you want to watch?

Kyle: Umm..... Azkaban Prisoner?

Tegan: Yes! - she then snuggled on him and asked him a question

Tegan: I need to know something, are you at least a bit Nervous about your match at Takeover?

Kyle: Honest to God...... Yes, but at the same time I'm so excited! I feel it's a big step in my career. Now let me ask you - he booped her nose - a question

Tegan: *Giggles* Yeah?

Kyle: Are you at least a bit Nervous of meeting my family?

Tegan: Yep. But I'm also excited, this is a big step for us and one I really want to make. Now enough questions the movie is starting! - she went back to cuddling on him as Kyle took a selfie of them
