Brody's POV

I groaned opening my eyes and slowly stood up shaking my head and looke around, I was in the deep jungles of Mystic Ruins. But I'm by myself "Tails!? Sonic!?" I called out and then I remembered "That's right. The Egg Carrier shot us down. We must have gotten separated" I said "I hope they are okay....I hope Sonic isn't worried" I said and my communicator rang and I picked it up "You guys love making me worry huh?" Metal Brody asks "I'm sorry" I said "What happened?" He asked "Eggman now has four emeralds on his end and a big flying ship called the egg carrier. We tried chasing after him on the Tornado but he shot us down and now we are separated" I said "Hmmm I see" Metal Brody said "Think you can find them?" I asked "I'm having a hard time keeping track of them" he said "What should I do?" I asked when I saw a orb of light spinning around me and I grunt as a bright light appears and I cover my eyes.

*The past*

I open my eyes and I get suprised as I'm not in nystic ruins around and I see a temple ahead.

'I feel like I've seen it before' I thought and walked down the stairs and to my suprise I see a lot of echidnas walking around

'But Knuckles is the last one of his kind....isn't he?' I thought as I walk and look around till I bump into someone "Oh. I'm sorry" she said and I look at her.

"No. My bad I wasn't looking" I said "I'm on my way to see a friend. Would you like to come?" She asks "Um....sure" I said and let her lead the way.

We walked through a cave passage till we arrived to....the master emerald altar? 'Wait....am I on angel island?' I thought, this just keeps getting weird. Not only was this the master emerald altar but the chaos emeralds where here. All 7 of them "These are the chaos emeralds. They hold greats amount of power, positive and negative" the girl said "Positive and negative?" I asked "Yeah. The emeralds can react depending on the user's heart. You can draw either positive or negative energy. But these emeralds have cause a great greed to come on my father and my clan now they want these for their own sake" she said and we heard a drop of water "Oh. He's here" she said but to my suprise Chaos came out of the water and soon the light from before shined again.

*Back to the present*

I open my eyes to find myself infront of the same temple but now it was all deteriorated and old 'So that's why it was familiar...' I thought "Brody!" Metal Brody said "Yeah?" I asked "Are you okay? You were just standing there for a while" he said "What?" I asked confused "You just stood there" he said 'Odd' I thought "Brody!" I heard a familiar voice and I look up seeing Tails on the Tornado but it looked different.

"Brody! Jump in!" Tails said and I nodded as I jumped on the right wing and we flew off "I'm glad you're okay" Tails said "Same" I said "Do you know where Sonic is?" I asked "No but I saw the Egg Carrier going through mystic ruins" Tails said "And Sonic ciuld be following it" I said "Yeah! Also I upgraded the Tornado this time we'll be fine!" Tails said "Great to hear. Now come on let's get Sonic and go for round 2!" I said "Yeah!" Tails said and we flew off after The Egg Carrier.
