I remember waking up drunk

george straight singing on t.v.

wobbled .. made it to my feet

stumbled out the front door

she'd needed a shoulder to cry on

the very last thing I needed

was her jealous lesbian lover

coming hard and fast after me

crunching through the gravel

I found my car intact

fell in the driver's seat

fumbled for my keys

started the engine

foot on the floorboard

I was in a rush to leave

more memory returned

had approached me too

asked for me to call her

when i'm not on a date

even related i'd be welcome

to come and live in colorado

i'd taken all .. everything in

even though I was dog drunk

wasted .. the crazy night before

monday morning rolled around

I barely made it to work on time

warranty clerk discovered

i'd been discreetly

seeing her daughter

first thing .. I was called

to come to her office

madder than hell .. spitting fire

screaming she'll have me arrested

seems her daughter was seventeen

she'd lied to me about her age

in no time I was on I-20 West
