Chapter 4
*3rd POV*
Hobbs was checking the crime scene. He pulled something out. "Plasma cutter. Wilkes, I want a list of every place within 50 miles that distributes compressed gas tanks. Pass me that manifest." Hobbs said as he was handed a bag.
A woman walked towards him. Her name was Elena Neves. "Officer Neves, been waiting for you." Hobbs said. "You asked for me?" Elena asked. "I did." Hobbs confirmed. "May I ask why? My smile is not that great." Elena said and Hobbs looked at her.
"Your husband was an officer who was gunned down in the favela. Six months later you upped and joined the force. You're motivated. Plus, I figured the only one in Rio who can't be bought. Am I right?" Hobbs asked.
"Yes." Elena said. "Of course, I am." Hobbs said. "Good news, bad news." A man said coming over. "You know I like my dessert first?" Hobbs said. "Back-checked the rail line like you asked, found a couple of spots where they unloaded the cars. One set of tracks headed west until it hit the main highway and disappeared. Another set of tracks headed easy. 107-inch wheelbase, 8-1/2 inch tread." The man explained.
"The GT40 that was missin' from the manifest." Hobbs said. "Followed the trail a couple of miles, pretty easy in this scrub. Can't move without leaving a sign." The man explained. "Give me the damn veggies." Hobbs said.
"The ground rolls into a hard pack and we lost that track, too." The man said. "Not necessarily. That road heads up through the hills into the favelas. A couple of years ago it was washed out by a storm. It's all dirt a mile from where you were. If they headed that way, we'll pick up the tracks there." Elena said.
"You come prepared." Hobbs said looking at her. "I'm motivated." Elena said. "All right, then. Let's find ourselves a car." Hobbs said as he walked off.
*My POV*
I put the chip back in. "What do you think?" Kayson asked. "It was definitely a custom chip." I said as I looked at the screen. "Look at all these side menus here for data entry. Let's check this one, mom." RaeLynn said and clicked the one she wanted to check.
We saw a lot of information. "Well, would you look at that." I said smiling. "Same building, same order every week." Brian said. "It's a delivery schedule." Dom said and I rubbed RaeLynn's back. "What's this?" Mia asked pressing something and something else came up.
"Drugs?" Kayson suggested. "No... no, that's a dealer pack." I said telling her what it was. "See, most major players, they weigh their money, so they don't have to constantly count it." RaeLynn explained.
"Right there, that's 49 kilos." Brian said. "49 kilos is a million in 20s." I explained. "You're saying each one of these shipments is worth $10 million." Mia said making sure. "Yeah." I said as RaeLynn nods.
"So, what is that?" Dom asked. "A hundred million plus in cash houses?" Brian asked. "That's how he keeps it off the grid." Dom said and I nod. "Who knew he could be smart." RaeLynn said causing us to chuckle.
"It's safe to say that Reyes is smart to want this back." I said as I looked at them. "I mean, it's his whole network, right there, just laid out on a chip." RaeLynn said when we heard metal clatter. We heard the door and guns, but Brian, Mia, Kayson and RaeLynn were already out the window.
Dom and I stayed back. We began punching the guys. We kept defending ourselves. We jumped out the window and began running on the roof as we were shot at. We jumped to another roof and kept going.
As we ran, we leaped off a roof and another big ass guy broke out of a window. We jumped off the roof and kept going. "Come on!" Dom shouted at me. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" I shouted as we kept running.
I prayed the others were okay as we ran across the roofs, we dodged some of Reyes men as we ran. "Shit!" I yelled as I almost slipped, but we kept running. We jumped down from a roof and kept running.
We came around a corner and saw a woman with a gun. "Policia. Get on the ground. I got Toretto, four blocks north--" The woman said but we heard something, and Dom and I got her out of the way.
We protected her. Dom had her pinned to the wall. "We already know who you are." Dom said to her, and we saw more men come in and shoot Reyes' men. Dom and I had already taken off running before anyone else could get to us.

We came out of the sewers. "They're gonna be looking for the six of us together now. We need to split up. Brian and Mia head south, Kayson and Izzy, take RaeLynn and head east. I'll lead them away." Dom said.
"No." Mia and I said, not wanting that. "Dom's right." Brian and Kayson said. "Look how lucky we just got, mom. What happens next time?" RaeLynn asked us softly. "We have no choice but to split up." Kayson said.
"We're pregnant." Mia and I said, and we could see the shock in their faces. "We already lost our family once. We're not going through that again." Mia said and Brian and Kayson came towards us.
"Are you kidding me?" Brian asked. "No." Mia said chuckling. We kissed happily, before we hugged. RaeLynn squealed happily and hugged me tightly. "I'm not going anywhere." Kayson told me.
"Okay." I said before me and Mia looked at Dom. "Dom..." Mia called out and he glanced at us. "Promise us we stick together." I said and he looked at us. He saw how Brian held Mia close, and how Kayson held me and RaeLynn close.
Dom smiled. "I promise." Dom said and walked towards us. We all hugged happily. "The family just got bigger." Dom said happily. We all laughed.
*3rd POV*
The men were checking the car. "Something doesn't add up. Toretto and O'Conner. They stay when they're supposed to run. They steal gas, then give it away. Now they're killing federal agents. It doesn't make any sense." Elena said.
"Here's what makes sense." Hobbs said taking the file from her, but then threw it. Elena looked at him with disbelief. "All these guys are is names on a list. They come up, we take 'em down. Not a phone call more, not a bullet less. Wilkes, we get anything?" Hobbs asked.
"Standard forensics. Shoeprints, hair and fiber. The prints are all over the car." Wilkes told him. "Anything else?" Hobbs asked. "Yeah, we tracked the owner off the vehicle ID. There are a couple of shell companies in between, but we finally traced it back to a corporation owned by an investor down here named Hernan Reyes." Wilkes explained.
"Investor. If there's anything illegal happening in Rio, Reyes is involved." Elena said. "Okay, then so are we. If he can get us any closer to our guys, I want everything on him. Chato, you're on the roof. I want you on over-watch in case somebody comes back for something. Mac, give me a cross-check on Reyes, full specs. If he goes to the John, I want to know how many time she shakes it." Hobbs said.
"You got it, boss." Mac said walking off. "Wilkes, Fusco...let's put all this mess back together." Hobbs said. "That's gonna take a while." Fusco told Hobbs. "Then you better get started. They were taking this car apart for a reason. Let's put it back together and find out what's missing." Hobbs said and they got to work.
*My POV*
Dom kicked a door open for us and we walked inside. Mia was asleep on a chair as RaeLynn was passed out on the floor. Brian looked at her, before joining us on the balcony. "Hey, Dom, what do you remember about your father?" Brian asked before Kayson lightly hit him.
Dom leaned against the wall. "My father." Dom said and I chuckled. "Oh, our dear old daddy." I said softly smiling. "He used to, uh...he used to have a barbecue every Sunday after church, for anybody in the neighborhood." Dom explained.
"If you didn't go to church, you didn't get any barbecue. Every single day he was in the shop and every single night he was at the kitchen table with Mia, helping her with her homework." I explained smiling softly as Brian and Kayson listened.
"Even after she went to sleep, he'd stay up for a few more hours so he could learn the next chapter and help her the next day." Dom said causing Brian and Kayson to chuckle. "We remember everything about our daddy...everything." I said softly as I sat on the rail.
"That's just it. We don't remember shit about our dad." Brian said, causing me and Dom to look at him and Kayson. "We don't remember him yelling, we don't remember him smiling." Kayson said softly.
"To be honest with you, we don't even remember what the hell he looked like." Brian said. "We don't remember, he just...he was just never there." Brian said. "You ain't gonna be like that, Brian, Kayson." Dom said before looking into the small room at Mia, before looking over at me then back to Brian and Kayson.
"Can't keep running, Dom." Kayson said softly. "We gotta get out." Brian said. "We gotta get out now." Kayson said. "You're right." Dom said before I held the chip in my hand. "Here's how we're gonna do it." I said as I got off the rail and held the chip up.
"We're gonna use this. We're gonna do one last job." Dom said nodding. "We're gonna take all of Reyes' money, every dime of it, and disappear...forever." I said as I placed the chip on the table that was on the balcony.
"New passports, new lives with no more looking over our shoulder, and we're just gonna buy our freedom." Brian said. "That's right." Kayson said already liking this idea. "You realize we're talking about going up against the most powerful guy in all of Rio?" Brian asked.
"Yes, we are." Dom said as I took a seat on Kayson's lap, needing to sit down and he held me close to his chest. "Then we're gonna need a team." I said smiling, as I knew we were gonna have some fun with this.
