thirty three
-Your P.O.V-
It's a beautiful Saturday in Þórsmörk, Iceland. The perfect day for a picnic, a walk around the park, or perhaps a wedding.
Perhaps my wedding. Wow, that's happening today isn't it?
I've been up since about 6 in the morning, stressing out. Luckily, Jenna, Karma and the Dun sisters have been by my side all afternoon.
"You look absolutely stunning." Jenna says as she's finishing the final touches of my hairstyle.
I let out a quick sigh, thanking her. "Thanks for your help Jenna," I smile. "Also, thank you to all you guys, your support has really helped me calm down." I chuckle.
"Aw, no problem (Y/N). I can't believe my best friends getting married!" Karma comes up behind me and squeezes my shoulders in an embrace, her and I both giggle.
Ashley approaches us. "Yeah, you and Josh are perfect together, no doubt this is gonna be the perfect day." Abigail follows patting me on the back.
"Thanks sistahs." I laugh as do they.
I check the time on my phone and notice it's almost time for the dress/jumpsuit reveal.
I really hope Josh is surprised...in the best way possible of course. I know once I see him in his tux I'm most likely gonna start crying then and there.
I'm a softie, what can I say?
"Well, shall we head down?" Jenna faces all of us, the rest of the girls and I nod.
I stand up, my legs still a little shaky as we all make our way out of the hotel room and to the wedding venue.
-Tyler's P.O.V-
I step away from the hotel bathroom mirror after buttoning my tux.
This is it, Josh and (Y/N)'s big day.
"Josh," I call out of the bathroom and see him standing there in his tux. "Oh, I was wondering if you put on your tux yet."
I can't help but smile at my best friend. "Wow dude. This is really happening."
"You're telling me," Josh responds. "I haven't slept since 4 AM."
"You're fine, bro. I promise it's all gonna work out perfectly." I give my nervous drummer a swift pat on the shoulder.
"I really appreciate you being here." Josh looks at me.
"Why wouldn't I? You're my best friend, dude." I smile and Josh smiles back.
We see Jordan come into our hotel room, suited up as well.
"Ready to go?" He grins.
My head turns to the groom, he pauses then speaks.
"Yep, let's do this."
-Your P.O.V-
It's time for the dress/jumpsuit reveal and wow, I've never been more nervous.
I know I'm gonna be even more nervous when the wedding actually starts, it's honestly a mix of ecstatic and butterflies. I'm marrying the love of my life today, this is insane.
I saunter over to my groom, a wide grin plastered on my face. I finally approach Josh and gently tap him on the shoulder, everyone around me filming with their phones and watching with glee.
He turns around and backs up with a smile and a shocked expression, my wide grin turns into an even wider smile as I giggle.
"Oh my god...you look absolutely stunning," He says, cupping my cheek. "(Y/N), I can't believe I'm getting the privilege to marry you."
I look deeply into his eyes, mine almost welling with tears. I embrace him quickly and sigh.
"I love you so much," I let go and chuckle, "You look amazing as well! I love the suit you picked out."
"Hey, thanks." He goofily poses, I laugh.
A little while later, it's finally time for the ceremony.
My hearts beating so fast, it could fall out of my chest and I'd still feel it's pulses.
Josh's father was kind enough to walk me down the aisle considering...well, you know.
"I'm glad my son found someone as wonderful as you, (Y/N)." He says to me.
"Thank you so much, I'm so lucky to be apart of your family now." I reply, hugging him.
I hear the music and my face lights up despite my nerves.
I see the crowd stand up and we begin to walk down the aisle. Many familiar faces gleam at me as I try to hold back my tears.
My eyes immediately catch Jenna and Tyler's. I notice their huge grin and Tyler...appears to be a little teary eyed.
Okay, here come the water works.
I make it to Josh, who is also crying. Wow, many tears at the moment.
It's time for our vows and Josh proceeds first.
"(Y/N), when I met you, something about you immediately grabbed my attention. Your presence, the way you light up a room, your overall sense of self captured me in a way I've never felt before. I knew I needed you in my life and the moment we started dating, I couldn't bear to think of a life without you. We've gone through some rough patches, that can be said about any relationship, but now that I know we're meant to be together, I never want to leave your side. You're beautiful inside and out and I'm the luckiest man alive to have you as my wife. You light up my life. You're my sunshine, now and forever." He finishes with a deep breath.
I start waving my face with my hand to dry my tears, I chuckle a little bit, "Okay, well, I don't know how I'm gonna top that." Josh giggles as does the audience.
"Josh, you have been there for me in my highest and lowest moments. The memories we share will always be implanted in my mind and heart. You're my muse for everything, whether it be songwriting or things in my daily life. I've never felt that way about someone before. You're my inspiration. Every moment shared with you is something special. You've taught me so many life lessons, not only are you my husband now but you are my everything. I want to thank you for always reminding me to be myself in the best ways possible and for inspiring me to be a better person. I love you more than any song I've ever wrote could say. Thank you for being my one and only." I quickly peck Josh on the cheek and he tears up once more.
The priest looks at us and speaks, "Joshua Dun, do you take (Y/N) (L/N) to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
"I do." Josh lets out.
"(Y/N) (L/N), do you take Joshua Dun, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
"...Heck yes I do." I breathe, Josh laughs, the brightest smile on his face.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the priest faces Josh, "You may kiss the bride."
Josh embraces me in a delicate kiss and I practically melt under his touch, the crowd erupts in applause...and I've never felt happier.
