-Your P.O.V-
Of course, days later the internet is once again spattered with drama surrouding Josh, Grayson and I.
"Ridiculous." Karma spits as I sit on the couch beside her in my unlit living room. Though the television was on and lighting both our faces with it's screen.
Karma came over to spend the night and watch some of our favorite shows together just because we hadn't spent a lot of time together recently.
"Speaking of G...have you two talked recently?" Karma sits towards me.
"Uh..." I lean back. "Yeah, I guess? What do you mean?"
"Oh." Karma leans back also. "Nothing, nothing."
I lock my eyes on hers. "You're a bad liar but I'll let it slide this time."
-Karma's P.O.V.-
Dammit, G.
I can't be the one to tell (Y/N) Grayson's business though. He should be the one to talk to her about this.
-Your P.O.V.-
"So, what have you been up to?" I ask, placing a piece of (popcorn/kettlecorn) in mouth.
(a/n: sorry if ur not a fan of either lmao)
"I've been hanging out with a new friend-"
"WHAT? OMG, who are they? What's their name? Are they-"
"Woah, (Y/N). Calm it down." Karma lets out a chuckle.
I laugh back. It was good to spend some quality time with my bff.
"Sorrryyy. Who are they though?" I anticipate an answer.
"...Her name is Delilah."
I smirk, trying to hold back something I personally found hilarious.
Karma stares me down, cold.
"Don't you do it-"
"HEY THERE DELILAH WHAT'S IT LIKE IN NEW YORK CITY-"
"Oh my god, you're a mess." The girl groans, rolling her eyes but giggling as well.
"I'm sure she hears that way too often." I mention while laughing. "Do you like her!?"
"What? No, (Y/N). We're just-" She begins.
"BULL. SH-"
"(Y/N)! Stop." Karma interupts me.
"...Sorry. I'm just excited. What's she like!? Even if you do claim she's 'just a friend'." I place finger quotes around the last few words.
Karma sits up. "Well, let's see, she's friendly and we're into the same kind of music, she's around our age-"
"Okay, okay, but anything interesting?" I sass. Karma just scoffs.
"She plays bass guitar and she's phenomenal at it." K tells me.
"That's cool! Is she in a band?" I ask more about the bass player.
"Not...yet?" Karma raises her shoulders, looking at me while grinning.
"...What is with you and trying to recruit band members?" I mention.
"Oh, come on! She's really good. Just wait till you meet her." K pats my knee.
"When will I get to meet her?" I cross my arms.
"Soon! Promise." She places her hands together, begging. "She's awesome (Y/N). Pleaseee give her a chance."
Karma sits forward, puppy dog eyes and all.
I roll my eyes. "I will. Don't worry."
"Yay!" My best friend gives me a squeeze and smiles.
"Let's just hope she's nothing like our last bass player."
-Tyler's P.O.V-
"Josh is starting to worry me even more now." I show my concern to Jenna as we both talk about our friend.
"Me too, why does he think we should forget about him?" Jenna sits across from me.
"He's probably noticing our emotions towards him."
"What, do you think we're disappointing Josh? Do you think even he feels bad he can't remember?" My wife shrugs.
I shrug back, unsure. "It's definitely a possibility."
What are we gonna do? This is impossible.
Give up on Josh, it's what he wants.
I look at Jenna.
"We can not give up on Josh."
...
...
It's two AM again.
Walking out of the spare bedroom trying not to wake up Jenna, I slump down the hallway. My ears pick up a noise coming from Josh's bedroom and I raise my head, eager to understand what was happening.
Hesitantly, I place my head to the closed door to figure out what I was hearing.
Is he...crying?
Deciding whether or not I should check was a tough decision. But slowly my hand turns the knob and I walk inside.
Josh doesn't seem to notice until the door creaks, he swings his head and starts to rub his eyes.
"I-uh, I wasn't-"
"Are you okay?" I interupt him, not bothering to hear his excuse.
Josh turns back around to face the wall, he sighs.
"...No." His voice sounds fragile. I go to sit beside him, although a bit unsure of what to do or say.
After a second or two, Josh breaks the silence.
"I'm sorry." He whispers.
I turn towards him. "For what?"
Josh bites his lip and closes his eyes. "Not knowing. I-I don't even know why I try."
"Josh, that's not your fault." I clear my throat.
"It's so weird...hearing you call me that. Everyone knows me better than I know me." He confesses.
I never thought of that. He's right, it must be a weird feeling.
"I-uh, I'm sure you'll remember soon. You can't give up on yourself." I try my best at re-assuring him.
He's a goner, Tyler.
I speak up.
"You're strong enough to be able to deal with this. I don't know how you do it, it's honestly incredible that you live each day with a mindset like the one you have. I-I wouldn't be able to handle that."
Josh takes in a deep breath. "Wh-What if I never get my memory back?" He breathes out.
I set my hand gently on his shoulder.
"I've got so many memories with you, Josh. If you never get your memories back, you can have mine."
"I don't even know who you are but...thank you." Josh speaks softly.
"Don't worry about trying to remember. Just live your life in the moment. Plus..."
The lost boy stares as I continue.
"We can always make new memories."
