Chapter Eight: Great Luna's Answer

Sean tensed as the Apex drew closer to his back. He could smell his overwhelming scent of alcohol and wet moss, causing Sean to wrinkle his nose. Keeping his attention on the barred window, he respectfully told him. "I appreciate your offer. But I'm not interested. It's natural for an omega to be drawn to his pack leader. Nothing more." The Apex hummed over his shoulder, before his fingers traced along his shoulder toward the collar at his throat. A violent shiver surged through Sean, prompting him to lightly growl out. "Don't." The Apex adjusted his head over his other shoulder, letting his fingers stroke the flesh of his neck on the other side, while he whispered to him. "You should feel honored to have gotten my attention. I'm your Apex. I'm mateless... and still in my prime." Sean felt sick as he put his hands to the cold stone wall beneath the window. The Apex was leaning into him subtly, trying to push him up against the wall, but by putting his arms up, he resisted his advancements and gave himself room to breathe.

The Apex licked his ear and Sean quickly slipped away from him. Standing regretfully beside the bed in the small narrow room, Sean faced the Apex and told him seriously. "I don't care if you are the Great Luna's mate! You're not mine! Now keep your distance." The Apex smirked, chuckling out. "You think you have the strength and power to order that of me?" Swallowing, Sean took a shaky breath then said flatly. "No... but I can still hurt you. I wasn't born with teeth and nails for nothing." The Apex lunged for him and Sean dropped down on the bed, causing the Apex to miss grabbing his throat. As Sean tried to make a break toward the door, the Apex put out his arm to grab him around the waist. Twisting in his grip, Sean snarled and transformed to leap away from him. Shaking his thick red fur with dark brown and flecks of white, Sean growled at the Apex as he walked on all fours to circle him with hackles raised.

The Apex fearlessly looked upon him, cooing aloud. "How very pretty you are, little one. I hope pups with you will be just as dazzling to look at." Sean snapped in warning at the Apex's crotch level. He'd never fought in his life, but he could bite. The Apex kneeled and staring him down commanded him. "Sit." Sharp whines left Sean as he tried to resist the command but the wolf in him obeyed the Apex's order. Hunching himself up to sit reluctantly, Sean whined more and avoided the Apex's eye contact. Inching closer, the Apex ran a hand through Sean's fur, telling him with a wicked smile. "The perks about being the Apex that they don't tell you. You couldn't resist me if you tried." The Apex grabbed his silky ears, pulling Sean's head down to kiss his forehead. Sean whined, parting his jaws to try biting him, until the Apex commanded. "Follow me like a good little pup. It's too cold down here to make pups."

The Apex got up and walked to the door, pushing the door open and whistling for him to follow. Sean dragged his paws until his nails scratched the stone flooring. He didn't want to go, but something about him made it impossible to resist his orders. Stiffly walking out of the room, Sean whined and kept his head low. His long tail tucked between his legs as he struggled along after him. From every other room, the Omegas and Deltas watched him with wide and worried eyes. He could smell their fear, which only added to his own. Catching his reflection in a mirror, Sean saw that his muzzle was streaked in tears and his wolfish icy blue eyes were glossy. He looked like a regular wolf... only he was three and a half feet tall. Flipping his ears flat against his head, he walked down the hallway like he was on death row. He didn't know what he was going to tell his parents, his friends, or his pack. This felt wrong and disgraceful. He could only pray to the Great wolf mother to spare him and grant him mercy from this Apex.

Just as he rounded the corner of the upstairs, Sean slowed to a stop as something caught his eye at the bottom of the steps. Sniffing the air, his heart leapt. Mark was shadowing him! The Apex stopped by a bedroom door, calling out sickly playful. "Come on, little one. Don't be scared. You were designed for this." Sean growled meekly as he reluctantly inched inside the room. Sneaking one last peek down the hallway to see Mark crouched low at the top of the steps now. Mark gave him a subtle nod, helping to calm him. However, he worried what Mark was going to do. The Apex quickly closed the door and locked it, telling him smugly. "Go on. Make yourself comfortable. You're going to be my guest for a while." Sean didn't move from the center of the room. The room was huge and decorated to look like the woods. The large four poster bed had fake trees at its ends instead of plain posts. The leaf tops formed a canopy over the bed that sparkled with twinkling yellow lights that reminded him of fireflies.

The curtain that hung around the bed was made up of glistening beads that resembled rain. It was a gorgeous room. With large stone carvings of Lou Garou wolves on all the furniture and random décor. The large stain glass windows were shaded to look like a starry night sky and a sunrise. The carpet was warm and felt like soft grass. He would have loved this room more... if the Apex wasn't in it. The Apex tossed a few logs in the crackling stone fireplace, telling him with a wicked grin. "Are you going to turn back? Or do you want to be mounted just as you are?" Sean moved away from the Apex as he stripped and moved closer. Sean didn't get too far, when the Apex snapped his fingers and called him over. Struggling to resist, Sean inched back over to him and sat down at his feet. The Apex stroked his head, telling him sweetly. "My father took multiple Omegas to bed when I came of age. He wanted me to have siblings. Just in case I died, he had a replacement. Sadly... I killed my siblings and ironically... here I am. Thinking of doing the same for my son. Because... he's weak. I need STRONG pups."

The Apex cupped his jaw, lifting it up as he told him with wolfish yellow eyes. "Give me strong healthy Alphas to replace him. In exchange. ANYTHING you desire shall be yours. Fail me... and I'll toss you to my guards and pick another... or two." Sean jerked his muzzle out of the Apex's hand with a light growl. Kneeling, The Apex leaned closer to his silky ear and whispered to him menacingly. "Get in the bed and position yourself for me." A startled yelp left Sean as his body started to move. Nudging the beads aside with his nose, he jumped onto the bed. His body sank into a bow and his tail moved to the side, but he somehow managed to drop his ass down on the bed to just lay there. The Apex chuckled to himself, purring out as he circled the bed. "You must love another to drop out of positioning for me. But I can still take you like that. So... amuse me. The wolf that got his fangs into your heart... What's he like?"

Sean locked his jaw and said nothing. Crawling onto the bed completely naked and half-hard, the Apex cooed over Sean's furry back. "Cat got your tongue, little one? Shame. A Delta would have mouthed off to me by now. You Omegas are just so... quiet. Although, you have a tiny bit more fight in you than the Omegas I've dealt with." Sean flinched as the Apex braced his arms on either side of him and growled into his ear. "I wonder what sounds you'll make for me. Will you beg for more? Or just cry out in pleasure until I give you what your body craves?" Sean shifted to his side, trying to make it harder for the Apex to mount him. Leaning over him, the Apex inhaled the smell of his neck, humming out. "I love that fresh Omega scent. One step up from puppy without the needy stench of Heat. Innocent and so... mouthwatering. Don't worry. I'll get you heat going before I unleash my puppy makers into your womb." Sean growled, feeling like he was going to toss up food or die.

Licking his ear, the Apex told him greedily. "I even sent my guards away for you. So, scream and wail all you like. It's a big castle. No one will hear you." A shuddering whimper left Sean as the Apex lifted up one of Sean's legs. He was just about to start crying out, when he saw the shadow behind the Apex and beyond the bed curtain. Licking his lips nervously, Sean held his breath. While the Apex purred out. "Ya. See? Omegas love being spread wide and-" The curtain parted and something swiftly struck the Apex upside the head. With a yelp the Apex fell off the bed and out of the beaded curtain on the other side. The shadow moved to intercept the Apex and within seconds... all Sean could hear was snarling and barking as the two fought. Sean sat up, whimpering at the sounds. He was too scared to peek out and see what was happening. Furniture smashed and metal banged around. The snarls and the growls grew louder until it was deafening!

Sean's heart stopped when there was one final sharp whine and then nothing. The room was a silent as a graveyard at night. Sean feared even breathing because his own breath was too loud. When the curtains sprang open beside him, Sean let out startled squealing whines and tried to bolt off the bed. The person grabbed his back legs yanking him across the bed toward him, panting out. "Sean, stop! HEEL!" With one last whimper, Sean rolled onto his back, his paws tucked over his chest as he looked at the man. It was Mark. Mark's eyes were a wolfish yellow and he was covered in fresh blood! Panting hard, Mark told him shakily. "Change of plans... We've got to go. Now." Sean rolled up to his feet, springing off the bed to join him. Only to lose his excitement at the sight of the Apex. Mark had torn up the room... and the Apex! Glancing at Mark, he saw him stagger against the bedpost, telling him seriously. "Go. Head for the castle door. We've got to run before the guards come."

Sean nodded, snorting the smell of blood from his nose. With how much blood was around the room, he could guess that they'd catch the smell soon. Leading the way out, Sean kept glancing back to make sure that Mark was still with him. At the heavy double doors, Sean clawed at the bar holding the two doors shut with soft whines. The bar was too heavy for him to move. Nudging him aside, Mark put all his strength into pushing one end of the bar off the rack. His muscles strained and he cried out in pain, but he got it. Letting the bar drop to the floor so hard that it cracked the stones. Together they pushed open one of the doors and bolted out across the bridge and into the wild snowstorm.  To Be Continued...
